Abstract

This study aims to determine the meaning of the valuecontained in the song lyrics haholongi ma Sidoli worksDompak sinaga. The theory used is the meaning, value, Songand Poetry. The meaning is the meaning or intent of a wordthat summed. Values mean something that has a quality angle,song is a composition of the tone or voice. The researchmethod used is descriptive qualitative. This research wasconducted in Humbang Hasundutan and research was startedin December 2015 to February 2016. The study populationwas not there. While the sample is Haholongi Song Ma SidoliDompak Sinaga work as much as one song and DompakSinaga. The results of this study indicate that the meaning ofthe song lyric Haholongi Ma Sidoli were lovers who are notdestined for a brotherly relationship (match). The values onthe song lyric Haholongi Ma Sidoli is: enjoyment value, thevalue of patience, the value of love, psychiatric tilapia, thevalue of life.

Abstract

Angklung Training ForElderly Mother in Soka Gakkai Foundation Medan. Essay. Faculty of Language andArts, State University of Medan. Supervisor: (1) Esra PT Siburian, M. Sn, (2) AdinaSastra Sembiring,M.Pd.This study aims to determine how the role of mother angklung for the elderly in thefoundation Soka Gakkai field through the angklung training process. The approach usedin this research is descriptive and qualitative. Descriptive approach is used to focus onthe actual problem as they are at the time of research training at the foundation SokaGakkai angklung underway.Qualitative approach used to describe the problem in training activities angklungin foundation Soka Gakkai. The object of research, namely mothers angklung, SokaGakkai members, especially in the field of 20 people and 1 coach. This research datacollected by direct observation field where research, interviews to several elderly momsand coaches as well as chairman of the association of mothers in the foundation of theSoka Gakkai.Angklung chosen by the mother Elderly Foundation Soka Gakkai Indonesia on thegrounds of Angklung is a musical instrument that is a heritage native Indonesia. Simplemusical instrument made of bamboo which was originally a musical instrument played towar but thanks to the cold hands of the father Angklung Daeng Soetigna transformed intoa musical instrument that has a diatonic tones world standard that can be used in all thesong's accompaniment.Practicing music is also useful for the health of the elderly, taken from the title of thispaper researchers believe that playing angklung useful to stimulate the motion system ofthe elderly who have fallen and psychology useful for the elderly. By having groups thatperform activities together would be very useful for the Elderlypsychologyinordernottofeellonely.

Abstract

The Bahoela and Today Sendratari Show at Horas Samosir Fiesta Event inSamosir Regency. Faculty of Arts and Languages. State University of Medan.2015. This research is aimed to know how the Bahoela and Today SendratariShow that will be held and the way of the event management from the beginninguntil the end is. In the discussion of this research, the researcher used relatedtheory to the topic of writing, such as theory of show, theory of sendratari andtheory of management. The research methodology used in this research wasdescriptive qualitative. To complete the data in this research, the researcherconducted a field observation, videos, interviewing and documentation. Thepopulation in this research was the whole involved committee, the performers andthe audiences. After all the data were collected, they were analysed then toanswer all the researcher™s questions. The data analysis was done by usingqualitative data technique which was described in phases in writing form. Afterthe analysis was done, it was found that the event management in order to makethe event run well, it was started form planning, determining the structure,preparing, conducting, making a responsibility report, evaluating the result,effects, redeveloping/replanning and the show presented music, drama and dancewhich told about occurrences in Bahoela Era and Today.

Abstract

Hasil penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa kegaitan ekstrakulikuler paduan suara merupakanekstrakulikuler pilihan, yang diresmikan sejak Oktober 2010. Kegiatan ini memiliki produkbernama paduan suara Beata Voce. Terdapat tujuh karakter yang ditemukan dalam kegiatanekstrakulikuler paduan suara. Antara lain Tanggung jawab, Disiplin, Kerja keras, Teguhpendirian, Religius, Komitmen, dan bersahabat/ komunikatif. Berdasarkan indikatorperkembangan karakter, siswa dalam kelompok suara Sopran 1 berada dalam kondisi sangat baik,siswa dalam kelompok suara Sopran 2 berada dalam kondisi sangat baik, siswa dalam kelompoksuara Alto 1 berada dalam kondisi baik, dan siswa dalam kelompok suara Alto 2 berada dalamkondisi baik, dan karakter yang kurang maksimal pengembangannya dalah kerja keras. Kendaladari perkembangan karakter siswa melalui kegiatan ekstrakulikuler paduan suara di SD St.Antonius I dan II ada 3, yaitu keadaan orangtua siswa yang terbatas, penguasaan materi lagu dankurangnya motivasi internal pada diri siswa karena keadaan terpaksa. Solusi yang dapat dicapaidari masalah tersebut adalah mengupayakan kegiatan-kegiatan penggalangan dana untukmenutupi sebagian biaya pribadi; pembiasaan disiplin dan kerja keras sejak dini untukmempermudah siswa yang akan menjadi penerus anggota tim inti dikemudian hari; danpengarahan minat anak dibarengi dengan ketelatenan orangtua untuk selalu mengecekperkembangan dan kondisi si anak.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of basic level violin learningusing the Suzuki method in the Medan Musika Era. The subjects in this study were students who tookviolin instruments in the Medan Musika Era. This study focused on the problems associated with theimplementation of basic level violin learning with the Suzuki method, which was viewed from theprocess of the steps of the study. This study used descriptive qualitative research methods, namelya research method that aims to describe in detail and clearly about a phenomenon which is the focusof research. The results of the research on the implementation of basic level violin learning usingthe Suzuki method in the Medan Musika Era show as follows (1) Education 'starts at a very earlyage by not limiting students who learn violin in the Musika Era. (2) Prioritizing to teach students tolisten to just play a musical instrument, by the way the teacher demonstrates the song learned by thenew student, the student mimics the song. (3) Violin learning takes place by giving songs that are inSuzuki's books repeatedly. (4) Learning to read beam notation using fingering in accordance withwhat is in the Suzuki method book.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze, Technique of Singing Diana Damrau oin Opera TheMagic Flute Aria Queen Of The Night Works Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Thepurpose of this research is to know Technique of Singing, how to interpret andartistic overall Diana Damrau sing Opera The Magic Flute Aria Queen Of TheNight.The theory used is analyze, vocal technique, sound processing, sound formation,breathing, frasering, head voice, powering, vibrato, interpretation, singing, opera,aria,The method used in this research is qualitative descriptive method, namely aresearch method that aims to describe in detail and clearly about a phenomenonthat became the focus of research. This research is a qualitative descriptivelaboratory works, thus this research is held in the laboratory of sendratasik musiceducation program of state university of Negeri Medan. The results showed thatDiana Damrau sang aria by using singing technique that is base of vocaltechnique. The achievement of singing technique has been applied verry well,where the singging technique is articulation, breathing, posture, resonance,vibrato, intonation. This factor becomes the main point that from the analysis, ithas a verry high singing technique singing aria Queen Of The Night. DianaDamrau had application interpreation that is, the dynamics of mp, mf, f, ff, ff,aksen, sfz, fp, cressendo, descressendo. Tempo allegro assai, ad libitum,allargando.Style singging marcatto, alla marcia, legato, recitaive, ekspreso,stacatto, sustenuto, emozione. Angry authoritarian, direspectful and desire is anexpression Diana to sing the aria. On the basis of it can be started that the overallappearance of Diana Damrau is interconnected to build on the builder™s point tomake the appearance of Diana Damrau towards spectaculer.

Abstract

Vocal Technique of Qori™ah Ustadzah Nurhamidah in Qur™anic Tilawatil Art as The First Winner in MTQ Competition at Binjai City in 1991. Study Program of Music Education. Sendratasik Department. Faculty of Language and Art. State University of Medan. 2018.This research aims to find out the vocal techniques of Qori'ah Ustadzah Nurhamidah in the Qur'anic tilawatil art, Maqam used by Qori'ah Ustadzah Nurhamidah in tilawatil Qur'an, as well as the similarities and differences in the Qur'anic tilawatil vocal techniques with vocal singing techniques. This study used descriptive qualitative method. This research was conducted at the residence of Ustadzah Nurhamidah on Jl. Gaperta Ujung Gang Wakaf No.7 Medan City. Based on the results of the research conducted, it can be explained that the vocal technique of Ustadzah Nurhamidah in the tilawatil Qur'an art includes heating techniques before appearing in the Al-Qur'an reading competition by observing 4 (four) elements, namely: articulation, breathing, resonance, and appreciation. Besides that, the maqam used by Ustadzah Nurhamidah in tilawatil Qur'an in Surah An Nisa chapter 1-5 is 3 maqam, namely: maqam bayyati, maqam Rast, and maqam Hijaz. Furthermore, the prominent difference is in the position of the body when doing breathing, in singing the position of the body standing or sitting, but in the Qur'anic tilawatil the body position have to sit. In addition, both of them have the same vocal technique but it's just a different way of practicing.

Abstract

The results of the study prove that the Didong Banan in SMAN 8 Takengon Central Aceh has beenestablished since 2011 and was stopped in 2015 and reopened in 2016, Didong Banan extracurricularactivities have increased from year to year, at the beginning of the opening only students followed theexisting songs and now students can create their own songs through spontaneity, the method used indidong banan extracurricular is lecture method, project teaching method, discussion method, pono banoemethod, ward method, and dewey method. The rhythm pattern in Didong Banan is divided into three,namely rhythm of behavior, rhythmic rhythm, and rhythm of the pillow.

Abstract

This study aims to discuss the selection of materials in making Teganing musicalinstruments, reviewed from the process of making Teganing, organological studies ofTeganing musical instruments, and reviewing the functions of Teganing musical instrumentsin the Gayo community in Bebesen District, Central Aceh Regency. The theories used in thisresearch are organology theory, musical instrument theory, Teganing theory, and musicfunction theory. This research was conducted on August to October 2018 on the streetPegasing Bebesen District, Central Aceh Regency. The method in this study is descriptivequalitative. The sample in this study amounted to two people, one artist and one Teganingcraftsman. Data collection techniques used were observation, interviews, and documentation.The results of this study explain that Gayo Teganing is made of bamboo (grind) Regen andrequires a long time for the manufacturing process. Teganing is a musical instrument playedby hitting it with a stick (Pegeul) on the string with the right hand and the left hand hittingthe Teganing body instead of repa'i or gegedem as a behavior. The production of GayoTeganing sound produced by the body of the tool itself is present in resonance (vibration)and also the quality of the bamboo used. Functions contained as emotional expressions,entertainment at various levels of socialism, symbolic representation, physical responsetools, reinforcement of social norm conformity, contribute to continuity and cultural stability,supporting social integration.

Abstract

Tanpa adanya suara bass, musik akan terdengar terlalu kering dan tidak bulat. Meskipun begitu,pada kenyataannya, menjadi pemain bass adalah sesuatu yang tidak mudah untuk dijalani. Jangkauan nadayang dihasilkan dari instrumen guitar bass dapat dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor. Pertama, adalah jumlahdari fretboard yang terdapat pada instrumen bass. Kedua, adalah jumlah senar yang terdapat pada instrumenbass. Berbeda dengan gitaris, kebanyakan pemain bass biasanya memang tidak menggunakan efek basspada routing sinyal mereka.Namun, hal ini tidak berlaku umum karena ada beberapa aransemen lagu yang membutuhkan efekbass tertentu agar klop dengan dinamika atau maksud lagu tersebut. Di Indonesia ternyata terdapat sebuahkomunitas sekaligus wadah tempat berkumpulnya para pemain alat musik bass atau bassist dari seluruhIndonesia yaitu Indonesian Bass Family (IBF). Harry Toledo (Azharianto Akha), salah satu pemain basssenior di Indonesia membentuk Indonesia Bass Family (IBF) pada tahun 2010, yang bertujuan untukmempertemukan para bassist muda dengan para seniornya dalam satu wadah komunitas tempat berbagipengalaman bermain, belajar bermusik dan hal lain yang diperlukan untuk menjadi musisi yang baik. Latarbelakang anggota IBF ini sangat beragam, bukan hanya mereka yang berprofesi sebagai bassist ataupunmusisi, namun ada juga profesi lain seperti pegawai kantoran, pebisnis, dll, namun memiliki kemampuanbermain bass.
