Abstract

The formulation of the problem in this study is how to implement teacher teaching methods during the new normal period in learning geography at SMA Negeri 6 Palu City. The aim of the study was to find out the implementation of teacher teaching methods during the new normal period in geography learning at SMA Negeri 6 Palu City. This type of qualitative research uses a descriptive approach. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis techniques performed were data reduction, data presentation, and data verification. The results of the study show that the implementation of learning in the new normal period, the methods used by teachers in teaching are more often lecture methods, questions and answers and assignments when learning online (online) at home. Face-to-face learning at schools during the new normal period, teachers used to use group learning methods (project based learning), lecture methods, questions and answers, discussions, demonstrations and experiments. Learning in the new normal period is carried out simultaneously both face to face at school and online learning from home.

Abstract

This study aims to find out what are the inhibiting factors and what are the teacher's efforts in overcoming obstacles in learning geography during the COVID-19 pandemic at SMA Negeri 1 Toli-Toli. The method used is descriptive qualitative, with research subjects 2 teachers of geography. Data collection techniques by observation, interviews and documentation. The research instrument used interview guidelines. The data analysis used is interactive model data analysis. The results of the study show that the first; inhibiting factors in learning geography during the COVID-19 pandemic at SMA Negeri 1 Toli-Toli, which really dominated were internet nets, data pulses, and smartphone ownership for students. In addition, communication factors, lack of interest in student learning, online learning methods, and slow delivery of material occur to students. Second; the efforts of schools and teachers to overcome barriers to online learning, namely: 1) Students to take part in online learning at schools for students who are constrained by networks and smartphones; 2) the teacher communicates personally through communication with WhatsApp; 3) the teacher motivates the students; 4) lecture and assignment methods are quite simple and make it easier for students; 5) some students do not like learning geography after the teacher has identified it; 6) the factors of facilities and infrastructure for learning geography are very supportive and quite good.

Abstract

This study aims to find out how the Role of the Geography Teacher is in Forming the Discipline Character of Students through Learning at SMA Negeri 4 Palu. The research approach used is a qualitative approach. This approach is a research strategy to obtain valid data according to the characteristics. The objects of research are school principals, geography teachers and students. Data collection techniques used in this study were carried out using observation, interviews and documentation approaches. While the data analysis method used is inductive analysis, meaning that the researcher describes specific events and then draws general conclusions. The results of the study show that geography teachers who always teach by giving advice and motivation do not forget to also reprimand and give educational punishments to students who break the rules. The role of the geography teacher is in shaping student discipline by providing guidance and motivation before entering class, applying discipline both in terms of time according to the rules that exist at school, dressing neatly, maintaining cleanliness so that you can study comfortably and have fun in class. Then in an effort there must be supporting and inhibiting factors. In practice teachers, parents, peers and the community environment can be factors that support or hinder efforts to build disciplinary character.

Abstract

This research aims to know the perception of students on the competence of education faculty in IPS, very important to study and know about the existence of the competency of lecturers according to their expertise, the results, and the achievements of students who do not look prominent and analyze the factors such as the competency of lecturers grouped into 4 competencies, namely; Competency, professional competence, personality competence, and social competence. This is the essence of the issue raised in this study. Then, it was analyzed using a descriptive percentage analysis and data analysis. Based on the results of data analysis, it can be concluded that the student perception gained calculation of the lecturer competency attitude is: 22% answered always, 63% responded often, 13% reacted rarely and 2% answered never. From the results, the student perception attitude towards the competence of the Faculty of IPS, most of the answer often with the highest answer number is 68% so the perception attitude of students to the competence of the Faculty of IPS is categorized well.

Abstract

This research aims to explain (1). Bada tribal wedding procession the decline in the traditional cultural value the role of traditional institutions in preserving traditional Bada tribal marriages in the village of Bewa. The subjects in this study were the role of traditional institutions and village government. The research method used is descriptive method with a quantitative approach. Data collection techniques are carried out through observation, interview and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of the Bada tribal marriages carried out in the village of Bewa until now is still carried out well, as one of the cultural heritages which contains values ​​that are very beneficial for the lives of generations of generations because they have very good meaning to do in married life and everyday life. Although experiencing a shift in value in the form of a dowry or a party slaughter that used to have to hold a buffalo in a party slaughter but now it can be replaced with cows, or cashed but does not change the cultural values ​​contained in the slaughter of the party and traditional clothes that used to have to use traditional clothes made from bark to use but now can use cloth Because it is rare that people make traditional clothes made of bark but do not reduce the value contained in these traditional clothes, the efforts of traditional institutions in preserving the bada tribal marriages in the village of Bewa are very good namely by socializing, providing understanding, applying and applying sanction.

Abstract

The writing of this article using qualitative method is research based on the theory and data available. The sources cited in this paper are journals, articles, and thesis. The writing aims to disseminate the values contained in Pancasila to be implemented by Indonesian citizens in their daily lives. Everyone wants prosperity in his life be it society, nation, and state. The reference point of welfare is social justice. Pancasila as the basis of the state as a guide in daily life will realize the welfare of umun in Indonesia. Problems in the nation's internal affairs also become one of the impacts that must be solved by returning to the values of Pancasila. Pancasila only has five principles but can unite the state of Indonesia because between the precepts complement each other.
