Online media is a new worldâ€™s phenomenon which produce the mass communication subjects which is not only institutionalized but also individuals, famously known as citizen journalist. However, this new type of journalist is considered as not professional as mainstream journalists. This phenomenon is also happened in islamic online media, which the subject of this communication could be an institution, or either individuals. These subjects are often violating journalism rule and ethics on the internet. The ideology of this writer and institution could be expressed on a discriminative and unfair journalism product. On the other hand, religious sentiment could also be a factor when a journalism products tend to accused a person before the law. This condition has to be evaluated, it is due to the islamic media on the internet could be an image of Islamic world as a whole. Moreover as a moslem, we are not only pay attention to the journalism code but also on Islamic value. There are many Islamic rule which stated that journalism activities linked with taqwa concept. Each of journalism activites on the media has to be based on the fairness, carefulness and critique-constructive concept. With that, it could strengthen moslem activities on holding not only towards journalism code of ethics but also Islamic religious faith.

In 2016 there was a massive religious demonstration in Jakarta involving several Islamic groups. The rally was triggered by the statements from Jakartaâ€™s governor candidate Basuki Tjahaya Purnama (Ahok) at Kepulauan seribu which interpreted by some as a blasphemy against Islam. The protest which conducted on November was considered as the biggest in 2016. At that time most of media, including TV One and Metro TV were highlited this event which estimated attended by hundreds million of protesters. With this case of reports, this writing tries to formulate this following issues: How is the relious discourse broadcasted by TV One and Metro TV towards 411 demonstration. Using Teun Van Dijkâ€™s discourse theory, this study is a qualitative research. News that was analyzed were 6 news with the details of 3 from Metro TV and 3 from TV One. Discourse analysis in this case is used as a tool to examine discourse on both televisions. There are three stages which are texts analysis, cognitive analysis and social analysis. Results of this study show that TV Oneâ€™s discourse towards the rally is that Islamic organization whose on the rally is a tolerance group, whose maintaining unity and practicing Islamic shariaa. Meanwhile, according to Metro TV is that the organization is more on a hardline ideology, non tolerance and promoting violence.

Objective of this study is to explore a phenomenon of how social media shapes identity on teen. The research is using Von Eckartsberg phenomenology analysis. Steps used on yhis procedures are data analysis, formed in explication and interpretation. After interview data is completed, last phase of this procedure is to read and meticulously analyzed the data to uncover the meaning configuration, both structure and the processes. Subject of this study is teen, actively using social media, account owner of facebook and twitter. Result of the study shows that each subject has projected different identity on each social media they have. In terms of personal orientation, these teen are using social media to communicate with their peers. This orientation is the reason why these teen have social media account of more than one. Moreover, these teen try to construct positive image on those social media. Their images are often presented as smart, happy by hobbies and leisure they participate. These teen is quite open in showing their identity. It is showed on their photos, words and expression on social media status.

In this modern era, as culture evolves into a popular culture mixed with western culture, there is still a community that wants to maintain the tradition of local cultural heritage, in the field of literacy. This is also reflected in a study that will raise researchers this time. The community is called â€œTanah Aksaraâ€. Researchers raised research on the Meaning of Local Culture Symbol for â€œTanah Aksaraâ€ Community in Bandung. â€œTanah Aksaraâ€ has its own characteristic in Bandung, which upholds the cultural heritage of the local script. They have peculiarities that characterize their identity through the attributes of clothing or other symbols that characterize the main individual in the â€œTanah Aksaraâ€ community. In this study, researchers used a qualitative approach with qualitative descriptive method. Data collection techniques used were interviews, observation and documentation. Data analysis techniques used are observation persistence, data triangulation, and referential adequacy. Researchers use communication theory to analyze this research is the theory of symbolic interaction. The results of research that has been done by the researcher shows that the meaning of local culture for the Tanah Aksara community include: (1) Symbol as the formation of identity for the Tanah Aksara community; (2) Symbols as preservation of local traditions and cultures for Tanah Aksara communities; (3) Symbols as preservation of the script of the archipelago; (4) Symbols as symbols of ancestral heritage/ ancestors; (5) Symbols as an encouragement of social activities.

Persepsi Para Mubaligh Terhadap Wacana Kontroversi Standardisasi Khatib dan Sertifikasi Mubaligh Arsam, Arsam

Today, there is a discourse of controversy that disturbs society, especially the muballigh and khatib related to the discourse of standardization of preachers and muballigh certification. Controversy on the discourse of standardization of preachers and certification of muballigh occurred between the government and some circles including the leaders and the mosque or mosque official. On the one hand, the government states that certification of muballigh and standardization of khatib is very necessary and important to do. While on the other hand a number of figures refuse the certification of muballigh and standardization of preacher. From the above background can be formulated â€œHow is the perception of the Muballigh in Banyumas against the controversy of khatib standardization and certification of muballigh? â€œHow are the hopes of the muballigh in Banyumas related to the controversy of khatib standardization and muballigh certification? The type of research used in this study is a qualitative research that is a research procedure that produces deksriptif data in the form of written or oral words of the people and behavior that can be observed. The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method. The method of data analysis used in this study is the method of data analysis by Mile and Huberman. The results of this study include: a) Views that support adanyba khatib standardization and certification of preachers with records starting with the training and get a salary from the government. b). Views that reject the standardization of preachers and certification preachers. Both terms are deemed inaccurate and more precisely is the formation of forums silaturrahim between preachers and preachers in which is filled with sharing sharing about the problems of preachers and the public. c). Alternative view is to provide a new alternative by empowering the existing religious counselors within the ministry of religion to accompany the preachers or form forum silaturrohim between preachers and preachers. While the expectations of the preachers to the controversy of standardization of preachers and certification of preachers are as follows: a). For preachers to improve their competence so that the goal to give the enlightenment of reason and conscience can be realized. b). For preachers in lectures not to vilify other groups, enlarge khilafiyah and not anti Pancasila and constitution 45.

The Transformation of Ronggeng Dukuh Paruk Purwoko, Oki Edi

Two main Things is analyzed in this study, The first is the view of the trilogy, when its exotication much symbolized by Srintil and Dukuh Paruk was viewed in complex, divine and yet paradoxal object. This analysis was coming from the study of the genre which flourished in Indonesian literary on 70â€™s and 80â€™s, also from the political sociological perspectives when rapid development triumphed the rational masculinity over irrational superstitious during 1980â€™s New order era.The second is the view of the trilogy when it was filmed in 2011 entitled Sang Penari. To be a more suitable with audience, the exotication including the life of Ronggeng is made to be a more pop icon than its complexity. The study was using the the arguments of orientalism and using the illustration of mainstream pop culture audience in Indonesia after the reformation era in 1998. The broader objectives of the study, is to give a deeper understanding to many pop culture artifacts in Indonesia, in terms of formation, pattern and type of communication. This study is more in interpretive path comparing several books and writings.

These days dakwah is not only interpreted as transformation of a pure religious value, but also transformation of a more relevant value including many aspects in digital era. Digital era is when society succumbed into the flow of information causing cultural shock and difficulties on synthesizing meaning from those scattered information. Dakwah on Digital age must accommodate societal needs which tend to move into a mass society. It results in strategy and more humane and innovative dakwah methods. One of innovative dakwah methods is conducted dakwah activities through digital media,with the consequences of this is that daâ€™i must developed soft skill and technological capabilities. Another beneficial comes from this is that dakwah could become more modern and practical in terms of methods and material. On the other hand, citizen Journalism as a mass cultural product and the results of technological development, gives an opportunity for daâ€™i to able to record the entire activities, including the dynamics of islamic life. In terms of learning curriculum, dakwah in digital format must be included, so then the intellectual and cultural spirit which flourished in pesantren could be adapted and competed in a global world.

Pembelajaran Public Speaking di Pondok Pesantren untuk Moderasi Indonesia Uswatusolihah, Uus

This study focused on public speaking learning process for Indonesian moderation located at An Najah, Al Amin and Darussalam as pesantren partners of IAIN Purwokerto. Public Speaking learning process in pesantren has been conducted for long period of time and it has distinctive characters to be studied. This study is using explorativephenomenological methodology to uncovered this learning process. Data is collected using observation, interview and documentation. Result shows that public speaking and speaking techniques in general is mandatory subject for An Najah, Al Amin dan Darussalam. The objectives of Public speaking learning in those three pesantren is that the students could conveyed Islamic value and religion effectively. Public speaking is conducted in many methods and activities, such as muhadharah, discussion, role play on many programs and events where santri has responsibilities and authority for managing the process. There are differences in practising muhadharah on those three pesantrens. There are also workshops hosted by experts. With that the process of public speaking learning is more in practical way without theoretical-conceptual background. This results in public speaking theoretical concepts is rarely mastered, whereas pesantren is well known for its rich oral speech tradition.

Tinjauan tentang Persepsi Mahasiswa terhadap Pelayanan Sistem Informasi Akademik IAIN Purwokerto Handayani, Muslih Aris

One of the hallmarks in modernization is the technological development in all fields. This development is also reach the university environment particularly in the field of academic services. Internet â€“ based academic services are continuously improved to achieve maximum services. This IAIN Purwokerto SIA system study was conducted to get an overview of the academic services based on internet platform. Objective of this study is to get an illustration of studentâ€™s perceptions towards academic information system services at IAIN Purwokerto. This research is quantitative descriptive type of study. Population of this study is students at IAIN Purwokerto. Total sample are 48 and randomly selected. Questionnaires were distributed to all respondents who are assumed representing the population of IAIN Purwokerto students. Result shows that 64.6% of students percepting that online academic services is considered as a useful services, 35.4% very useful, and 0% stated that it is very useless. Only 2,1% of them stated that the quality of online academic services is not very good. 41.7% not good, 56.3% stated that it is a good services. 2.1% Studentâ€™s said that the accessibility of academic services is very difficult. 25% said that it is difficult, 70.8% stated that is easy, 2.1% stated that it is very easy one. 10.4% of the students stated that there are no need of additional feature on online academic services, 0% stated that it is extremely unnecessary, 60,4% necessary, and 29,2 others stated that it is very necessary. 2,1% of the these students said that they never encountered any problem on the internet system, 52,1% occasionally encountered problems, 16,7% quite problematic, 29,2% very often problematic. 0% said that this internet system is very unnecessary to be improved, 2,1% no need improvement, 31,3% systemâ€™s improvement is necessary, and 66,7% highly needs improvement.

Hubungan Persepsi Terhadap Teknik Statistik dengan Minat Melakukan Penelitian Kuantitatif pada Mahasiswa Fakultas Dakwah IAIN Purwokerto Sholikhah, Amirotun

Background of this study is a tendency of quantitative approach which is rarely encountered during studentâ€™s thesis of Dakwah Faculty IAIN Purwokerto. This is partly due to the usage of statistical techniques as the analysis tools. This study is a survey research, conducted in random sampling techniques with 38 respondents. The data is collected by using observation, questionnaire, interview and documentation techniques. The data is analyzed and calculate using Pearsonâ€™s Product Moment correlation procedures in Microsoft Excell and SPSS. Conclusion of the study is that â€œThere is no correlation between the perception of statistical techniques and interest in using quantitative research towards student of Dakwah Faculty IAIN Purwokertoâ€, with the result of rxy, 0,247, as interpreted as a low correlation. The result is then consulted with Product Momentâ€™s r table and it shows that the value of rxy is less than on the r table, both in 5% and 1 % significance level. There are lots of them have perceptions that statistical procedures are difficult and so they have less interest in conducting final thesis using quantitative methodology, with the reason that the research problem is not suitable with the quantitative methods. They have hope of assistance from lecturer or possibility in using SPSS techniques.
