Religious communities use the internet as a spiritual network to seek spiritual goals, and they interpret it through narratives shared through online spaces. This emphasizes the need for freedom and spiritual experiences so that they can share with others. So, people often associate their participation in online religion with a level of spirituality and confirmation of religious identity. Online religion seeks to adapt religion to form a network of spiritual interactions. This study discusses the use of the Internet by Majlis Tafsir Al-Qur’an (MTA) on the website www.mta.or.id in communicating ideology to the congregation. This research data collection uses the method of observation and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the use of digital technology by MTA is to promote ideology. MTA announces content regarding manhaj, terrorism, politics, the spirit of friendship / ukhuwah between members, and cooperation between scholars and the government.

Advances in technology and information provide new opportunities for preachers to be able to take part in spreading Islamic teachings through various social media platforms. One of the preachers who took the role to preach through social media was Habib Husein Jafar al-Hadar. This article examines Habib Husein Jafar’s missionary activities on the social media platform he uses, Youtube. The researcher analyzes the data by observing virtually and visually (virtual ethnography) on the da’wa content displayed by Habib Husein Jafar through Youtube. The study shows that: 1) the attention to the spiritual enlightenment efforts of the younger generation is the basis of the selection of the social media platform Youtube - because based on previous research, the users of this social media platform are 18-29 years of age; 2) starting from the da’wa consumers who are primarily young people, the content they present is suitable to their needs and lifestyle and 3) by using the concept of the circuit of culture analysis, Habib Husein Jafar in various ranges can reconstruct people’s perception of one’s definition of holiness. It is not limited based on normative appearance - cloaked and sacrificed, for example - but more on the substantive side, namely by behaving and having knowledgeable skills. With the variety of content, he could visualize himself as a pious young man by not abandoning his social status as a young person.

However, the government does not fully capture people’s views, so people feel they do not receive government policies’ feedback. The purpose of this research is to find out how the Indonesian government’s public communication is in dealing with the Covid-19 pandemic. The research used a descriptive qualitative method using data during Covid-19. This study explains how the debate of government and community communication occurs in the form of public opinion. Various forms of public opinion from adverse to positive states become message instruments aimed at the government. This instrument then forms communication in the form of action as a sense of moral panic due to the absence of a back answer to the opinion expressed. So, these opinions are only as answers and realized by society in phenomena.

Indonesia’s education sector has also been affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. The learning process has changed from conventional to online learning. Many students find it challenging to capture and understand their knowledge because they are accustomed to the learning process through face-to-face interactions with teachers. Teachers need to create a teaching system that is more efficient than just completing the curriculum. Regarding this problem, Zenius, as an educational application from Indonesia, issued the “Zenius Untuk Guru†platform, which helps teachers create learning systems. The product launch attracted influential online media in Indonesia, Liputan6.com and Republika.co.id. The interesting point about the launch platform is that these two online media display the related news with different framing. This research using Entman’s framing theory to describe how the two media perceive the platform. The results show that Liputan6. com frames Zenius commercially, while Republika.co.id communicates Zenius as a problem solver to improve teacher literacy in less technologically literate areas. Zenius also helps Indonesia in equalizing education to remote areas of Indonesia.

Cartoons, which are closely associated with children, tend to contain violence and mere entertainment. It is still rare to find comics that have Islamic values. This study aims to critically analyse the construction of Islamic values in the cartoon film Omar and Hana episode Alalala Raju. The research was qualitative research using the Van Dijk model of critical discourse analysis and content analysis of the da’wa message. The data was from a YouTube channel called Omar & Hana - Islamic Children’s Songs. The study results found that the structure of the film’s text contains a discourse of advice to children to share objects they have and love. The social cognition system explains that this film has a vision and mission to instil Islamic values and joy in children worldwide, namely by sharing. And the social context that becomes the background is the concern of parents about the lack of Islamic cartoons and the difficulty of children sharing. The meaning of discourse contained in the film is as a message of da’wa morals.
