<![CDATA[The mindsets in understanding the teaching of a religion vary greatly among individuals or group of people,which are influenced by their prominent figures and books they read. As a result, conservative, moderate, and liberalmindsets can be found in society. In the last few years, people were surprised by the emergence of religious groups,especially in Islam, which tend to be conservative, irrational, and often using violence to defend their belief. Thisphenomenon seems to be the opposite of this modern era which tries to promote freedom in religion and behavior. Thisarticle discusses the history of the term "fundamentalism", how it refers to a certain movement in Islam which tends to destroythe characteristics of Islam as "rahmatan lil 'alamin" (bless to universe). In addition, the term "fundamentalism" has somechanges in meaning so that it is necessary to study what fundamentalism really means, the background, how it works, andhow to treat it.]]>

<![CDATA[One of effort to examine the claim of journalism practices is making a research about the news construction of the media.In this project, researcher aim to study journalism style of Tarbawi magazine—would by compared with Tempo, especially on coveringhumanity issues, by its news construction analyzed. The media contents were analyzed by using framing analysis of Entman model, sothe news construction of Tarbawi will appear. Journalism style of Tarbawi will be explicit by the opinion of Tarbawi editors that found byin depth interview. The result showed the news construction of Tarbawi on covering humanity issues tend to focused on personalproblem with more space for moral evaluation based on Islamic values. The contemplative and narrative writing of Tarbawi showed itsconscience journalism. The moral judgments always underlie Tarbawi coverage. This journalism style can be categorized asinterpretative journalism genre. This style and literary journalism is like-minded, especially for the narrative style of writing]]>

<![CDATA[Various social anomalies that occurred in this nation can represent the people (individuals) who are "sick". Thevalues of this nation in reality have not been able to effectively stem the rampant phenomenon of anomalies above. Variousfactors can cause the condition, such as ineffective value education in schools, families or communities; ungroundeddakwah; or media that is not impartial public interest. Media as one of information tools, considered to have significantinfluence to child's destructive and deviant behavior. Programs that aired in fact be counterproductive to the improvementof children's human qualities. This can be seen from several cases of child abuse and sexual harassment was motivated bythe impression of violence and pornography in the media. In this context, this paper tries to study the symbolic violence frommedia to the children (world) by presenting programs of violence and pornography in its various forms. Economic interests ofpolitical domination has made the media ignores the public interest, especially children by creating programs that do noteducate and inculcate the values of violence]]>

<![CDATA[There were two tendencies patterns that occur in child caring today. First, pattern that tend to the extreme right,which is a very dominate and too forced children. The second pattern tends to extreme left, namely overly excusing. Inbetween these two polar extremes there is a more moderate pattern, namely the ideal. The philosophy is that the caringand guidance tasks are basically inseparable from the duty to understand and interpret human ’inner self’. The task ofnurturing and guiding must be based on an appropriate view on the subject mentors who guided and to be taken where,so that children can develop according to the nature and plays a primary task as a human. Children are basically spiritualbeings who have an existential basis as servants and representatives of Allah on earth. He carries a mission of unity and thecaliphate. The tutors help children actualize this mission by developing spiritual life and intelligence. From the characteristics ofchildren, the caring approach and guidance that can be used, among others, exemplary, motivate wisely, love andattraction.
