Journal of Public Policy and Regional Government (JPPLG) adalah jurnal akademik yang fokus pada penelitian dan pengembangan dalam bidang kebijakan publik dan pemerintahan daerah. Jurnal ini bertujuan untuk menyajikan artikel-artikel yang memberikan kontribusi terhadap pemahaman serta solusi untuk tantangan dan isu-isu yang dihadapi dalam pengelolaan kebijakan publik dan tata kelola pemerintahan di tingkat daerah atau regional dengan fokus sebagai berikut: 1. Kebijakan Publik, yaitu analisis terhadap berbagai kebijakan yang diterapkan oleh pemerintah, baik di tingkat nasional maupun regional, serta evaluasi efektivitas dan dampaknya; 2. Pemerintahan Daerah, yaitu penelitian terkait otonomi daerah, desentralisasi, serta implementasi kebijakan yang berfokus pada penguatan pemerintahan lokal; 3. Tata Kelola Pemerintahan, yaitu kajian tentang transparansi, akuntabilitas, serta peran sektor publik dan privat dalam meningkatkan kualitas layanan publik di tingkat regional; 4. Pembangunan Daerah, yaitu fokus pada perencanaan dan implementasi kebijakan yang mendukung pembangunan ekonomi dan sosial di daerah, termasuk isu-isu seperti kemiskinan, ketimpangan, dan pembangunan berkelanjutan; 5. Partisipasi Masyarakat, yaitu enelitian yang membahas keterlibatan masyarakat dalam proses pembuatan kebijakan serta pengawasan pemerintahan daerah; 6. Isu-isu Sosial dan Ekonomi, yaitu mengkaji isu-isu penting seperti ketenagakerjaan, pendidikan, kesehatan, dan lingkungan hidup di tingkat daerah dalam kaitannya dengan kebijakan publik. Oleh karena itu, jurnal ini mengundang kontribusi dari para akademisi, praktisi, dan pembuat kebijakan untuk membagikan pengetahuan serta pengalaman yang relevan dalam meningkatkan kualitas kebijakan dan tata kelola pemerintahan daerah di berbagai belahan dunia.

Abstract

Employee discipline has a central role in maintaining organizational performance and achieving common goals. This research raises the issue of the influence of leadership style on employee discipline at the Office of the Driving Teacher Center (BBGP) of South Sulawesi Province. This research identifies how leadership style affects employee discipline, organizations can set more effective policies and programs to manage, train, and develop human resources. The research method used is quantitative by involving 62 respondents who are determined randomly through the Proportional Random Sampling Method. Data was collected through documentation and questionnaires and then analyzed using descriptive data analysis and inferential statistical analysis. The results of the study show that the Leadership Style variable (X) has an influence of 74.9% on the Employee Discipline variable (Y). This indicates that 74.9% of Employee Discipline is influenced by the Leadership Style factor. While the remaining 25.1% was influenced by other factors. This research strengthens the understanding of the importance of the role of leadership in shaping employee discipline in government organizations. These findings can be the basis for organizational management to pay more attention to leadership style as one of the key factors to improve employee discipline and overall organizational performance

Abstract

Discipline is one of the important aspects that supports the quality of performance of a Civil Servant (PNS), this study aims to find out how the work discipline of civil servants in the Bulukumpa Sub-district Office, Bulukumba Regency. The type of research used in this study is a qualitative descriptive research type and for the data collection techniques used, namely observation, interview and documentation techniques with three informants, namely employees of the Bulukumpa Sub-district Office, Bulukumba Regency. The results of this study show that employee discipline at the Bulukumpa Sub-district Office, Bulukumba Regency is still lacking. This can be seen from attendance, responsibility, attitudes, and norms. Where the attendance of employees has not been in accordance with the regulations that have been set and the results of observation as evidenced through the recap of the attendance list, the implementation of employee responsibilities that have been included in the category is very good, but the attitude of employees who are still categorized as poor is evidenced by the use of office uniforms that are not orderly so that they are not in accordance with the established regulations. Then the norms or compliance with the regulations are still not good, as seen from the fact that there are still some employees who do not comply and receive reprimands from the leadership. The results of this study are still not in accordance with what is expected based on discipline indicators

Abstract

Community satisfaction is one of the most important variables in determining the result of a service. Therefore, the implementation of employee discipline must be implemented so that employee performance can be more optimal. The purpose of this study is to determine the influence of employee work discipline on community satisfaction at the East Luwu Regency Social Service office. This research is classified as bivariate research with a quantitative approach. The sample in this study amounted to 96 people from East Luwu Regency using probability sampling techniques. In this study, the data collection techniques used are questionnaires, observations and documentation. The data analysis techniques used in this study are descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistical analysis. The results of the study show that the variables of employee work discipline at the East Luwu Regency Social Service Office are in the good category with indicators, namely time discipline, regulatory discipline, and responsibility discipline, while the variables of community satisfaction are in the good category with indicators, namely the suitability of expectations, performance perception, and community assessment. Based on the results of the product moment correlation test, the relationship between variables is strong. Based on the results of a simple linear regression analysis, it was concluded that there was a positive and significant influence between employee work discipline and community satisfaction at the East Luwu Regency Social Service Office

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the influence of interpersonal communication on employee performance in the office of the South Sulawesi Provincial Driving Teacher Center. Employee performance is an important thing that can affect how much an organization's goals are achieved. Efforts to improve performance and overcome employee performance problems, of course, must be considered is the quality of good human resources so that they will be able to work optimally. Communication is an important element in improving employee performance, one of which is interpersonal communication. Interpersonal communication is the basis of effective communication for the success of an institution or organization. This study is descriptive research with quantitative techniques aimed at determining the influence of interpersonal communication on employee performance. To achieve the objectives of this research, data collection techniques are used through questionnaires and documentation. The population in this study is 89 employees with a sample of 73 employees. The data that has been obtained from the results of this study was processed using descriptive and inferential statistical analysis to determine the influence of interpersonal communication on employee performance at the South Sulawesi Provincial Teacher Driving Center office. The results of the study show that the indicators used in each variable can be concluded that interpersonal communication is in the good category and in the employee performance variable is in the good category. Based on the results of the product moment correlation test, the relationship between variables is moderate. Based on the results of a simple linear regression analysis, it was concluded that there was a positive and significant influence between interpersonal communication on employee performance at the South Sulawesi Provincial Driving Teacher Center office

Abstract

Employee performance effectiveness is the ability of employees to do things correctly based on a goal plan that has been set. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of employee performance, supporting factors and inhibiting the effectiveness of employee performance at the South Sulawesi Provincial Bawaslu Office. Therefore, this study has a significant impact on employee performance that affects employee performance effectiveness. This research is qualitative, therefore to achieve the objectives of this research, the method of collecting data is by conducting observations, interviews, and documentation. The findings of this study show that all indicators used in this study can be categorized as effective. The indicator in question is that the quality of the work results of employees is effective because they receive coaching and are able to cooperate in completing the work. The quantity of work results is effective because employees are able to achieve targets and leaders are able to distribute tasks according to employee duties. Punctuality in completing tasks is effective because employees can complete tasks before the deadline. The presence of employees is still said to be less effective because there are employees who are still less disciplined and do not fulfill their obligations when working. The ability to cooperate with employees is effective because employees have the ability to communicate and complete work together. This study presents new information by associating detailed theories and research loci different from previous research on the effectiveness of employee performance so that it can be used as evaluation material for research loci to improve quality in the work environment.

Abstract

The quality of the work environment is all the conditions, factors, and elements that affect the experience and well-being of employees in their work environment. This study aims to find out how the quality of the work environment at the Office of the General Election Supervisory Agency (BAWASLU) of South Sulawesi Province is. Therefore, the research has significant in identifying the work environment that affects the quality of the work environment. This research is qualitative, therefore, to achieve the research objectives, data collection techniques are used, namely observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this study show that all indicators used in this study are quite effective. The indicator in question is Smoothness in working quality because all employees can communicate with each other in achieving smoothness at work. The security of the quality work environment is due to the complete CCTV in every corner of the room and security carries out its duties well. The safety of the work environment is of poor quality because the work environment of BAWASLU is not in accordance with work safety standards. The cleanliness of the quality work environment is due to employee awareness and cleaning services that regularly clean. The comfort of a quality work environment is because physical comfort is enough and non-physical comfort or relationships between employees are also very good. Finally, for adequate facilities are still of poor quality because there are several facilities in each room that are still lacking, and some employees complain about it. This study presents new information by associating detailed theories and research loci different from previous research on the quality of the work environment so that it can be used as evaluation material for the research locus to improve the quality of the work environment.

Abstract

This study aims to find out about the overview of the implementation in the implementation of the situational leadership style of the Regional Finance and Assets Agency in the Office of the Governor of South Sulawesi. This research is qualitative, therefore, to achieve the research objectives, data collection techniques are used, namely observation, interviews and documentation. There are 5 informants, namely employees of the Regional Finance and Assets Agency. Based on the results of this study, the implementation of situational leadership style in the application of regional financial and asset agencies in the South Sulawesi Governor's Office has been successfully implemented. This can be seen from several things, such as providing direction in the implementation of work activities, inspiring subordinates to be innovative in completing tasks, and providing solutions for subordinates who experience an inability to work productively. Furthermore, there are indicators in supporting this leadership style, such as providing space for subordinates to voice their opinions, providing the necessary support, and providing motivation so that the performance of subordinates is getting better. In addition, the indicator involves subordinates in decision-making, listens to their ideas and ideas, and involves them in the decision-making process. This leadership style also involves the indicator of delegating authority to subordinates and giving them the freedom to express their opinions

Abstract

This study aims to find out the work discipline of employees at the Baraka District Office, Enrekang Regency. By using qualitative research methods with descriptive research types. The data collection technique uses observation, interview, and documentation methods. The data analysis techniques used are data collection, data presentation, data condensation and conclusion/verification. The results of the study show that each indicator used can be said to be "good" according to the indicators used, namely Attendance, employee attendance is quite good because employees are present on time to the office. Compliance with work regulations, employees implement work regulations in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) properly. Regulations on work standards, employees have implemented work standards well. Working ethically, judged from the level of employee ethics, both fellow employee leaders and the community. Therefore, employee work discipline can be said to be quite good and there are performance achievements that must be fulfilled by employees, otherwise employees will be subject to sanctions. This research also uses the latest indicators regarding employee discipline and is supported by the latest journals and supporting books

Abstract

The study was aimed at ascertaining cognition of risk factors in the occurrence of type 11 diabetes among rural parents in Awka Community of Anambra-State. In line with the objectives of the study three research questions and two null hypotheses were postulated. Related literature was reviewed and summarized. Cross sectional survey research design was adopted for the study. The sample for the study consisted 200 male and female adults were drawn by multi-stage sampling procedure. Data were gathered by means of structured interview protocol. Data obtained were analyzed using descriptive statistics of frequency and percentages as well as inferential statistics of chi-square. The findings among others showed that many adults were not cognizant of physical, social and emotional risk factors of type 11 diabetes. Gender and age were significant factors that influence cognition of risk factors to type 11 diabetes by the respondents. Based on the findings recommendations were made pertinent among which is designing intervention programme in the form of diabetes education by health educators for the rural populace in Anambra-State.
