Abstract

This study examined the measurement and calibration of learning independence among PGSD students in digital learning using the Rasch Model. Motivated by the need for validated tools that capture readiness for autonomous learning in higher education, a survey of 40 students from the 2023 and 2024 cohorts employed a Learning Independence Test. Rasch analysis estimated item difficulty and person ability and assessed reliability and model fit. Most items showed acceptable fit and internal consistency. Item and person distributions indicated generally moderate to high independence, with meaningful individual variation. These findings suggest the instrument functions adequately and can yield actionable diagnostics for curriculum design and targeted supports that strengthen autonomy in digital environments. Psychometrically sound measurement is therefore valuable for understanding learner characteristics and informing teacher preparation, since prospective teachers must foster independence in their future pupils. The small sample limits generalization. Future research should use larger and more diverse samples and adopt longitudinal designs to track changes in learning independence over time.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the level of public understanding regarding the legality of land sale transactions and its impact on the legal certainty of ownership. The focus is directed toward examining the extent to which low legal literacy contributes to the continuation of such practices and how it affects social and economic stability. The study employs a qualitative case study design conducted in Yogyakarta. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with community members, Land Deed Officials (PPAT)/Notaries, and local Land Office authorities, supported by documentation analysis of sale deeds, land certificates, and court decisions. Data analysis involved reduction, descriptive presentation, and conclusion drawing, while validity was ensured through source and theoretical triangulation. The results indicate that informal land sale practices significantly weaken legal certainty, reduce the economic value of land, and potentially trigger social conflicts. Low legal awareness emerged as the main factor driving communities to avoid formal procedures, often perceived as costly, complicated, and time-consuming. The role of PPAT and Land Offices is therefore crucial, not only in administrative functions but also as agents of legal and social education. The findings highlight the importance of a socio-legal approach that integrates law enforcement with community education to enhance legal awareness. Recommendations include establishing community-based land law clinics, utilizing digital platforms for legal outreach, and reforming land registration bureaucracy. However, the study is limited to a specific regional context, which restricts the generalizability of findings to other areas with different socio-cultural conditions, thus requiring further research.

Abstract

This study examines the effectiveness of the core functions of the Regional People’s Representative Council (DPRD) of Sleman Regency—legislation, budgeting, and oversight—within the framework of local governance and political accountability. Despite a clear legal mandate, the DPRD’s practical performance often reveals a discrepancy between normative expectations and administrative realities. Using a qualitative case study design, data were collected through in-depth interviews with DPRD members, secretariat officials, and civil society representatives, complemented by participant observation and document analysis of legislative outputs and performance reports. Purposive sampling and data triangulation ensured analytical depth and validity. Findings indicate that the DPRD of Sleman Regency has demonstrated progress in legislative productivity and budgetary planning, evidenced by the enactment of five key local regulations in 2024 and the proposal of twelve priority drafts in 2025. However, the council’s effectiveness remains constrained by uneven member capacity, limited substantive public participation, weak follow-up mechanisms, and inadequate institutional support, while local political dynamics continue to shape its responsiveness and accountability. The study concludes that strengthening DPRD performance requires continuous professional development, transparent digital information systems, and structured participatory mechanisms. Although this research focuses on a single regional case, it offers valuable insights into the socio-institutional factors influencing local legislative effectiveness in Indonesia and provides a foundation for comparative studies across regional parliaments.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the process of internalizing students’ religious character through activity-based programs at MI PAS Baitul Qur’an Gontor Ponorogo. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings reveal that the internalization of students’ religious character is carried out through several key stages: (1) discipline, by implementing “teng komando” rules, as well as a system of punishment and reward; (2) habituation, through daily routines such as congregational prayers, Qur’an memorization (tahfidz), and the 6S culture (smile, greet, salute, polite, and ready); (3) exemplary practice, by positioning teachers and all school stakeholders as role models who consistently demonstrate positive behavior; and (4) creation of a conducive environment, supported by adequate facilities and educational media such as “talking walls” and consistent enforcement of discipline among all school members. The novelty of this study lies in demonstrating that an activity-based internalization process significantly shapes students’ religious character. The outcomes include improved discipline in daily life, enhanced independence in various activities, the development of politeness in behavior and communication, the practice of honesty in interactions, and a stronger sense of personal responsibility.

Abstract

This study investigates the influence of Amaliyatu-t-Tadris activities on the professionalism of prospective teachers at Kulliyyatul Mu’allimat Al-Islamiyah. The research was motivated by the increasing need for qualified teachers in Indonesia and the crucial role of Islamic boarding schools in preparing future educators. Using a quantitative approach with a regression design, primary data were collected from final-year students through a four-point Likert-scale questionnaire. The findings indicate that all items in the questionnaire were valid and reliable, with a Cronbach’s alpha of 0.923 for Amaliyatu-t-Tadris and 0.915 for teacher professionalism. The Pearson correlation test revealed a strong positive relationship between Amaliyatu-t-Tadris activities and teacher professionalism (r = 0.811, p < 0.01). The regression analysis further showed that Amaliyatu-t-Tadris accounted for 65.8% of the variance in prospective teachers’ professionalism. These results demonstrate that structured microteaching practices embedded in Amaliyatu-t-Tadris effectively enhance pedagogical competence, classroom management, communication skills, and professional ethics. The study highlights the significance of integrating practice-based training into teacher education programs in Islamic institutions to cultivate professionalism and educational quality.
