Abstract

Growth and Yield of Cauliflower Caused by NASA Liquid Organic Fertilizer and Plant Growth Regulator HormonesABSTRACT. Cauliflower plants in great demand, so the development of aquaculture should be developed to obtain the desired quality and quantity. The purpose of this study is to determine the concentration of NASA's Liquid Organic fertilizers and plant growth regulator Hormonik proper growth and yield of cauliflower. This research was conducted at the experimental station of Faculty of Agriculture University of Syiah Kuala Darussalam Banda Aceh, Seed Varieties used were obtained from the CV Hoggar. Aria Enterprises Banda Aceh, the foliar fertilizer used was NASA Liquid Organic fertilizers and plant growth regulator produced Hormonik PT. Natural Nusantara Indonesia. The soil used in soil types Entisol top soil from the Experimental Farm Faculty of Agriculture, University of Syiah Kuala, Darussalam Banda Aceh. There are two factors that investigated the concentration of NASA's Liquid Organic fertilizers are composed of three levels: 2, 4 and 6 cc l-1 water, and plant growth regulators Hormonik which consists of three levels: 1, 2 and 3 cc l-1 water. Variable which observed were plant height, leaf number, stem diameter at the age of 21, 35 and 49 days after planting, and the wet weight berangkasan, flower weight were observed at harvest 60 days after planted. Result of study showed that the combination of concentration and NASA Liquid Organic fertilizers Hormonik growth regulator that shows growth  and better results were found at a concentration of 4 cc l-1 water  of liquid organic fertilizer Nasa and 2 cc / l water of growth regulators hormonik.

Abstract

Abstrak: Pertumbuhan tanaman sangat ditentukan oleh beragam faktor, baik faktor internal seperti : hormon, keseimbangan air dan genetik serta faktor eksternal seperti : iklim, api, pencemaran, temperatur, radian energi, ketersediaan lengas, reaksi tanah, susunan gas dalam tanah dan ketersediaan hara tanah.  Tanaman jati merupakan salah satu tanaman  yang dalam proses pertumbuhannya membutuhkan unsur hara, baik makro dan mikro. Ketersediaan unsur hara makro dan mikro dalam tanah berbeda-beda  tergantung dimana habitatnya. Pohon jati  merupakan jenis pohon yang pertumbuhannya menyesuaikan habitatnya, baik habitat yang berada di dataran rendah maupun dataran tinggi.  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kandungan unsur hara tanah tempat tumbuh jati pada ketinggian yang berbeda. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan selama 6 bulan meliputi dua tahap yaitu : pertama, pengambilan sampel tanah pada ketinggian 0 – 200 mdpl (A), 201 – 400 mdpl (B) dan 401 – 600 mdpl (C); kedua, uji laboratorium untuk mengetahui kandungan unsur hara tanah baik makro dan mikro. Pengambilan contoh tanah menggunakan sistem composite sampel, yaitu percampuran contoh yang diambil dari areal yang dikehendaki. Data hasil analisis laboratorium akan ditabulasi berdasarkan ketinggian tempat, kemudian di analisis secara deskriptif.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pH tanah tergolong agak masam (A dan B) dan masam (C). Kandungan C organik tergolong sedang sampai tinggi (A,B dan C), bahan organik termasuk dalam kriteria sedang sampai tinggi (B dan C) sedangkan berlebihan (A). Kriteria kandungan unsur hara makro dan mikro pada ketinggian A, B dan C bervariasi. Unsur hara makro, N tergolong rendah sampai sedang, P dan K sangat rendah, Ca tinggi dan unsur Mg tergolong sedang sampai tinggi. Kandungan unsur hara mikro Fe, Zn dan Cu sangat rendah, Mn berada dalam kisaran 20 - 3.000 ppm dan Na sangat rendah.

Abstract

The Persistence of Clomazone and Pendimethalin Herbicides in Soybean Cultivar of Argo MulyoABSTRACT. A field research has been conducted in PT. Syngenta RD Station Cikampek, Karawang to investigate the persistence of clomazone and pendimethalin herbicides in soybean cultivar of Argo Mulyo. The dosage of clomazone and pendimethalin herbicides used were: 0.75; 1.50; and 2.25 kg a.i. ha-1. The persistence of clomazone and pendimethalin herbicide varied from 28 to 96 days and 43 to 75 days, respectively. The persistence of clomazone herbicide was longer than the of pendimethalin.

Abstract

Content of Soil Phosphorus and pH Caused by Nitrogen and Phosphorus Fertilizations on Ultisols and InceptisolsABSTRACT. The objective of this research were to study the effect on nitrogen (N) and phosphorus (P) fertilization on pH, content of soil P and dry weight of sunflowers (Heliantus annuus L.) on Ultisols and Inceptisols. The design of experiment used was a randomized completely block design arranged in factorial pattern with two factors. The first factor was N fertilizer (without N and 100 kg ha-1 N) and the second factor was P fertilizer (without P, 50, 100, and 150 kg ha-1 P). The result showed that the application P fertilizer several dosage was increasing soil pH, total soil P, and dry weight of sunflowers on Inceptisols and Ultisols. Available P was more strongly influenced by soil of order (Inceptisols was better than Ultisols) due to application of P fertilizer several dosage on 100 kg ha-1 N.

Abstract

The Sequence of Horizons of Paddy Soils in a Toposequence of Latosol on Volcanic Parent Materials in the Bogor – Jakarta AreaABSTRACT. The sequence of horizons of paddy soils is different from non paddy cultivated. The aim of the research were: (1) to study the sequence of horizons of paddy soils in a toposequence of Latosol on Volcanic materials in the Bogor – Jakarta Area; (2) to study the sequence of paddy cultivated intensity to sequence of horizons. Twelve pedons of different altitude (90 – 650 m above sea level) and different paddy cultivated intensity (0/year, 1/year, 2/year) were investigated sequence of horizons in the field. The result of the research showed that the horizons sequence, on non paddy cultivated soils consist of: tillage layers and the original soil layers. On 1x paddy/year consist of: plow pan layer, and iron/manganese/nodule Mn illuviation layer. On 2x paddy /year consist of: tillage layer of surface reduction, plow pan layer, Fe/Mn illuviation layer, and reduce subsurface layer.

Abstract

ABSTRAK. Trichoderma sp. telah dipertimbangkan para peneliti sebagai suatu alternatif dalam penggunaan fungisida tradisional yang efektif di bidang pertanian konvensional yang tidak meninggalkan residu baik pada tanaman maupun tanah.  Penelitian ini akan menentukan efektifitas T. harzianum dan T. virens dalam mengendalikan R. solani pada perkecambahan C. annum.  Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Ilmu Penyakit Tumbuhan dan Kebun Percobaan Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Syiah Kuala Banda Aceh sejak Maret sampai Juni 2011. Rancangan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap dengan menggunakan 7 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan. Perlakuan tersebut adalah: Kontrol, dosis T. harzianum 30 g tanaman-1, dosis T. harzianum 45 g tanaman-1, dosis T. virens 30 g tanaman-1, dosis T. virens 45 g tanaman-1, dosis  T. harzianum 15 g + T. virens 15 g tanaman-1, dan dosis T. harzianum 22,5 g + T. virens 22,5 g tanaman-1.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dosis T. harzianum 22,5 g + T. virens 22,5 g tanaman-1 adalah paling efektif mengendalikan R. solani dengan rata-rata benih yang tumbuh dan tinggi tanaman, masing-masing 75% and 9,25 cm. The Effectivity of Trichoderma harzianum and Trichoderma virens to Control Rhizoctonia solani Kühn on Seed  of Capsicum annum L.ABSTRACT. Trichoderma sp. has been considered by researchers as an effective alternative to the use of traditional fungicides in conventional agriculture because it leaves no residue both on plant and soil. This work determined the affectivity of T. harzianum and T. virens to control R. solani on seedling of C. annum. The experiment was carried out at Plant Disease Laboratorium and  Experiment Field Faculty of Agriculture, Syiah Kuala University from March to June 2011. The experiment was arranged in the randomized complete design using 7 treatments and 4 replications. The treatments were; Control, dosage of T. harzianum 30 g plant-1, dosage of T. harzianum 45 g plant-1, dosage of T. virens 30 g plant-1, dosage of T. virens 45 g plant-1, dosage of T. harzianum 15 g + T. virens 15 g plant-1, dosage of T. harzianum 22,5 g + T. virens 22,5 g plant-1. The result showed that dosage of T. harzianum 22,5 g + T. virens 22,5 g plant-1 is the most effective to control R. solani with averages of emergent seed and plat height, 75% and 9.25 cm, respectively.

Abstract

Effect of Age Transplanting Seedling and NASA Liquid Organic Fertilizer Concentration on Cacao Seedling Growth (Theobroma cacao L.)ABSTRACT. The objective of this experiment was to study effect of age transplanting seedling and NASA liquid organic fertilizer concentration on cacao seedlings growth and to know interaction of the two factors. The experiment used randomized block design with factorial pattern. There were 2 factors that studied. First factor was age transplanting seedlings: age transplanting seedling 14, 21, and 28 days after seedling. Second factor was NASA liquid organic fertilizer concentration: 0.5; 1; 1.5; 2; and 2.5 ml/l water. The result showed that the best of cacao seedling growth on age transplanting seedling 21 days after seedling and NASA liquid organic fertilizer concentration 2,0 ml/l water. There was not significantly interaction between age transplanting seedlings with NASA liquid organic fertilizer concentration on all cacao seedling growth variables that studied.

Abstract

ABSTRAK. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji pengaruh dosis herbisida glifosat dan paraquat pada sistem TOT terhadap sifat kimia tanah, karakteristik gulma serta hasil tanaman kedelai. Rancangan yang  digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) faktorial yang terdiri dari 2 (dua) faktor yaitu dosis dan herbisida dengan pengulangan sebanyak 3 (tiga) kali. Peubah yang diamati dalam penelitian ini adalah sifat kimia tanah, karakteristik gulma, dan komponen hasil dan hasil tanaman kedelai. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa semua dosis dan jenis herbisida memberikan peningkatan pH, N-total tanah, dosis 1,50 kg b.a. ha-1 memberikan nilai K-dd yang lebih baik dibandingkan dosis 0,75 dan 2,25 kg ha-1. Dosis 2,25 kg b.a. ha-1 meningkatkan persentase pengendalian gulma dan bobot kering gulma yang lebih rendah, meningkatkan komponen hasil dan hasil tanaman kedelai. Herbisida glifosat dan paraquat memiliki kemampuan yang sama dalam memperbaiki sifat kimia tanah, meningkatkan persentase pengendalian gulma dan menurunkan bobot kering gulma serta meningkatkan komponen hasil dan hasil tanaman kedelai. Interaksi antara dosis 2,25 kg b.a. ha-1 dan herbisida glifosat memberikan nilai persentase pengendalian gulma yang lebih tinggi dan bobot kering gulma yang lebih rendah.The Application of Several Dosage Herbicide Glyphosate and Paraquat in No-Tillage System and Its Influence on Soil Chemical Properties, Weed Characteristics, and Soybean YieldABSTRACT. This study aims to assess the effect of dose of herbicide glyphosate and paraquat on the NT system to soil chemical properties, weeds characteristics of soybean yield. The design used is a randomized completely block design (RBD) factorials consisting of 2 (two) factors herbicide and dose with 3 (three)  replication times. The variables properties of chemical, characteristics of weed, components and yield of soybean. The study results showed that all doses and types of herbicides provided increased pH, total soil-N, 1.50 kg dose ba ha-1 gave the value of K-dd are better than the doses of 0.75 and 2.25 kg ha-1. 2.25 kg dose b.a. ha-1 increased the percentage of weed control and dry weight weed is lower, improving yield and yield components of soybean. Herbicide glyphosate and paraquat have the same ability in improving soil chemical properties, improve weed control and reduce the percentage of dry weight of weeds and increase yield and components and yield of soybean. Interaction between 2.25 kg dose b.a. ha-1 and the herbicide glyphosate give a percentage higher weed control and dry weight weed is lower
