Abstract

Pasirkaliki Village is one of the government agencies located in North Cimahi District, Cimahi City, that requires an information system for the right solution in disseminating information both for the Pasirkaliki community itself and for other wider communities. One of the information that must be conveyed to the Pasirkaliki community is information about population data, especially in terms of the number of residents, number of births, number of deaths, number of residents who moved, number of migrants, and the number of low-income families living in Pasirkaliki sub-district., While the information that can be conveyed to other wider communities is about the number of residents, the number of disadvantaged residents, and data about the population of Pasirkaliki sub- district. The information system in Pasirkaliki Village has been manually, namely through handwriting, and stored in a book so that it has the risk of being lost, forgotten, and damaged. Data handling like this makes the level of data security less, and time processing data are inefficient. With the information system, it will make it easier for village employees to store population data so that existing risks can be minimized. And with a population information system, Pasirkaliki Village can convey information about population data to the community and agencies that need it.

Abstract

The exhaust valve is a component that functions apart from being a way out for combustion residue in the combustion chamber, it also plays a role so that the combustion chamber remains airtight during the compression stroke and the effort stroke. The performance of the exhaust valve greatly affects the power generated by the auxiliary engine. A tight exhaust valve is very important so that the combustion products in the cylinder do not leak into the exhaust manifold so that the performance of the auxiliary engine becomes optimal and the role of the auxiliary engine as the heart of a ship can supply electricity on board properly. The research method used is qualitative with qualitative descriptive data analysis techniques and data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation studies. An indication of damage to the exhaust gas valve is the high temperature of the exhaust gas, as well as abnormal engine sound. After analysis, several causes were found, namely the use of inappropriate spare parts, fatigue in the exhaust gas valve, incomplete combustion in the combustion chamber. Then solve the problem which results in optimal exhaust valve performance so that the performance of the auxiliary engine is good.

Abstract

The reciprocating bilge pump is an important auxiliary device in the bilge system in the engine room which functions to pump bilge from the bilge tank or engine room gutter to the OWS (Oily Water Seperator) and forward it to the ship's overboard. Reciprocating bilge pump is a type of reciprocating pump (piston pump) which is widely used for pumping viscous liquids or water mixed with oil. This pump generally consists of a pump housing or pump cylinder in which there is a plunger or piston which works by moving from TMB (Bottom Dead Point) to TMA (Top Dead Point) to suck liquid into and push it back out of the cylinder. This study aims to find out the causes of the problems and the efforts that can be made on the reciprocating bilge pump so that it can restore the performance of the reciprocating bilge pump. The research method that the authors used in compiling this research is a qualitative descriptive research. While data analysis is to identify the data set that has been obtained, so that the data can be analyzed and the purpose is analyzed in order to get a clearer picture in the preparation of this research both from the problems and the final results. It is hoped that this research research can produce ideas, solutions and appropriate problem solving, both in observing and handling the problems raised in this research. Based on research on the reciprocating bilge pump at MV. Amanah Halmahera AMC this pump is not working. This is caused by the release of the piston head from the piston rod so that there is no pressure on the pump and the check valve does not work properly so that it is difficult for the fluid to be sucked into the pump chamber. To prevent this problem, it can be done by reinstalling the check valve and cleaning the check valve.
