Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of career development, competence and compensation on intention to leave Employees at Ekasakti University, Padang. The research method uses correlational analysis. The sampling technique uses a purpose sampling method, amounting to as many as 30 people. Data collection techniques using questionnaires using a Likert scale. Data analysis techniques using data description, normality test and hypothesis testing using SPSS Version 21. The results of the study illustrate that simultaneously there is an influence jointly with career development, competence and compensation for Intention To Leave, and testing conducted partially, that the development career influences Intention To Leave, competence influences Intention To Leave and compensation influences Intention To Leave.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the factors that influence the career development of lecturers. Refraksi Optisi YLPTK Padang lecturer research subjects. This type of correlational quantitative research. Data collection techniques using a questionnaire with a Likert scale. Data analysis techniques with the F test and t test. this research is important to examine factors influencing the career development of lecturers. The results of data analysis showed that work commitment, leadership, colleague support and competence together or partially influenced lecturer career development.

Abstract

AbstrakTujuan penelitian untuk menguji kontribusi pembelajaran dengan pendekatan guided discovery learning dan locus of control terhadap hasil belajar Praktik Hidrolika. Penelitian menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan deskriptif korelasional. Populasi penelitian yaitu mahasiswa yang mengikuti mata kuliah Praktik Hidrolika sebanyak 137 orang di Program Studi Teknik Sipil Fakultas Teknik dan Perencanaan Universitas Ekasakti Padang. Sampel penelitan sebanyak 78 orang yang dipilih menggunakan simple random sampling. Alat pengumpul data menggunakan angket dan dokumentasi hasil belajar mahasiswa. Data dianalisis menggunakan statistik inferensial dengan regresi ganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa:  pembelajaran dengan pendekatan guided discovery learning berkontribusi signifikan terhadap hasil belajar Praktik Hidrolika; pembelajaran dengan pendekatan locus of control berkontribusi signifikan terhadap hasil belajar Praktik Hidrolika; dan pembelajaran dengan pendekatan guided discovery learning dan locus of control secara bersama-sama berkontribusi signifikan terhadap hasil belajar Praktik Hidrolika. AbstractThe purpose of the research was to examine the contribution of learning with guided discovery learning and locus of control on learning outcomes for Hydraulic Practice. The research used quantitative methods with correlational descriptive. The research population was 137 students who took the Hydraulics Practice course in the Civil Engineering Study Program, Faculty of Engineering and Planning of Ekasakti University Padang. The research sample was 78 people who were selected using simple random sampling. Data collection tools used questionnaires and documentation of student learning outcomes. Data were analyzed using inferential statistics with multiple regression. The results showed that: the learning process with the guided discovery learning approach contributed significantly to the learning outcomes of Hydraulic Practice; the learning process with a locus of control approach contributes significantly to learning outcomes in Hydraulics Practice; and learning process with the guided discovery learning and locus of control as in aggregate significantly contribute to the learning outcomes of Hydraulic Practice.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to establish the empirical validity of the curriculum model for children with special needs (ABK). The data collection is carried out using interviews, documentation, and observation, involving teachers, students, and school principals. The data analysis technique uses descriptive qualitative. The results show that in general teachers and principals considered the curriculum model developed to be relevant and applicable, containing basic competencies that were appropriate to the ability levels of students with special needs; for mild ABK who had minimal learning constraints, the number of basic competencies is less 21,1% than in the regular curriculum; whereas for ABK with a moderate level of difficulty, the number of basic competencies in the new curriculum is 37,3% less than the regular curriculum, and this group of students needs maximum support from others. The guidebook for the new curriculum in general is also considered easy to understand, well-written, and the appearance is sufficient. Thus it can be used as an alternative curriculum for use by a wider audience. Tujuan penelitian ini ialah untuk menetapkan validitas empiris model kurikulum untuk anak-anak dengan kebutuhan khusus (ABK). Pengumpulan data dilaksanakan melalui wawancara, dokumentasi serta observasi, melibatkan guru, murid dan kepala sekolah. Teknik analisis data menggunakan deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada umumnya guru dan kepala sekolah menilai model kurikulum yang dikembangkan sudah relevan dan dapat diterapakan, karena memuat kompetensi dasar yang sesuai dengan tingkat kemampuan siswa-siswa berkebutuhan khusus, bagi ABK ringan yang mempunyai kendala minimal dalam belajar, kompetensi dasar menyusut 21,1%. Sedangkan ABK dengan tingkat kesulitan sedang, kompetensi dasar dalam kurikuum menyusut 37,3%, dan kelompok siswa ini membutuhka ndukungan orang lain yang lebih maksimal. Adapun buku pedoman yang dikembangkan secara umum dinilai mudah dipahami, dan dari segi fomat penulisan dan wujud sudah memadai. Dengan demikian dapat dijadikan sebagai alternatif kurikulum untuk digunakan oleh kalangan yang lebih luas.

Abstract

This paper aims to present studies on (1) project-based learning concepts; (2) the theory of learning underlying project-based learning; (3) the implementation of project-based learning; and (4) project-based productive competency learning at Vocational High School. Based on these findings, it can be concluded: (1) Project-based collaborative learning is carried out by creating work or projects related to the competencies that students expect. Project-based learning can help equip students for preparation to enter the world of work; this is because students learn not only in theory but also practice in the field; (2) Project-based learning is a learning model supported or based on constructivist learning theory; (3) the implementation of project-based learning consists of: (a) determination of basic questions; (b) design project planning; (c) draw up a schedule; (d) monitor students and progress; (e) test results; and (f) evaluate the experience, and (4) Project-based learning can be said to be the operationalization of competency-based education and production concepts in vocational high schools. Through project-based learning, students at Vocational High School are introduced to the real atmosphere and meaning of work in the world of work. Thus, the right learning model for vocational high school productive competency is project-based learning.

Abstract

The development of creativity in the 21st century is a skill that requires students to master perseverance and problem solving combined with good teamwork. Creativity in the skill component of the 21st century is a much-needed new demand. Along with the rapid development of the era, education's role becomes essential in preparing students, especially vocational schools that emphasize the mastery of science, skills, attitudes, and values needed by the industrial world, to have 21st-century skills. This is done by changing teachers' roles from information providers and communicators to facilitators to share information and knowledge and train learners' problem-solving skills. Constructivism learning is one alternative to practising 21st-century skills. Meaningful problem-based learning is applied primarily to help thinking skills, problem-solving, and intellectual skills and learning to be an independent and creative learner.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to develop an evaluation model of computer and network engineering learning program (EKOP) in SMK. The trial sample amounted to 402 respondents. Trials were conducted in several areas of the city of Padang. Data collection techniques implemented using the rating scale method and attitude inventory. The technique of analyzing data uses quantitative and qualitative approaches. Based on the analysis of the data obtained the results that can be concluded are: a). EKOP in computer and network engineering matches the data in the field; b). The EKOP evaluation model is excellent in the assessment of processes and results. This is based on the results and the assessment process of users, experts, and practitioners learning in computer and network techniques; and c). the assessment of users, experts and practitioners of computer engineering learning shows that the evaluation evaluation guidelines are quite good as a basis or reference for implementing the EKOP evaluation model in computer and network engineering in SMK; and d). EKOP models apply systematic and systemic thinking flow.

Abstract

This study aims to reveal and analyze how much (1) the contribution of pedagogical competence to the implementation of teacher duties, (2) the contribution of principals' transformational leadership to the implementation of teacher duties and (3) the contribution of pedagogical competence and principals' transformational leadership to the implementation of teacher duties of SMKN 1 Padang both individually and together. This research uses a quantitative approach. The population is all teachers at SMKN 1 Padang totaling 89 people, while the sample is 56 people determined by Stratified Proportional Random Sampling technique and the strata used are educator certification and length of service. Data were obtained using a Likert scale questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability. The results of data analysis show that (1) pedagogical competence contributes significantly to the implementation of teacher duties by 19.2%. (2) principals' transformational leadership significantly contributed 8.2%, while (3) pedagogical competence and principals' transformational leadership together contributed 24%. Data analysis has shown that the three hypotheses can be accepted empirically. From the findings, it can be concluded that pedagogical competence and principals' transformational leadership are two independent variables that have a positive impact on the dependent variable of teachers' task implementation. To improve the implementation of the duties of teachers of SMKN 1 Padang, it is necessary to improve through pedagogical competence and transformational leadership of principals properly and responsibly.

Abstract

SMAN 1 Pariaman dan SDN 13 Lohong yang berlokasi di Jalan Prof. M. Yamin, yaitu jalan dengan status jalan kota dan berfungsi sebagai jalan kolektor. Berdasarkan data kecelakaan 5 Tahun Terakhir yang didapat dari Polres Kota Pariaman jumlah kecelakaan dengan melibatkan pelajar terdapat 230 kejadian. Pada ruas Jalan Prof. M Yamin Kota Pariaman terjadi 7 Kecelakaan lalu lintas dengan jumlah korban 1 MD dan 6 LR. Kurang nya fasilitas perlengkapan jalan seperti fasilitas pejalan kaki yang memadai, tempat pemberhentian angkutan umum dan rambu –rambu yang mendukung keselamatan siswa di area tersebut, dengan ada Zona Selamat Sekolah di harapkan sekolah tersebut dapat mencegah terjadinya kecelakaan di area tersebut. Sebagai metode penelitian, kebutuhan ruang pejalan kaki ditentukan dengan survey jumlah kendaraan, kecepatan kendaaran, jarak pandang henti, jumlah dan pergerakan pejalan kaki. Hasil analisis yang dilakukan menunjukkan bahwa kondisinya belum selamat sehingga harus dilaksanakan suatu program di lingkungan sekolah SMAN 1 Pariama dan SDN 13 Lohong yaitu Zona Selamat Sekolah (ZoSS). Oleh karena itu rancangan Zona Aman Selamat Sekolah yang dibuat adalah tipe jalan 2 lajur tidak terbagi, rencana batas kecepatan >40 km/jam, ≤ 60 km/jam, batas kecepatan Zona Aman Sekolah 25 km/jam, Zona Aman Sekolah tipe 2UD-25 , Panjang Zona Selamat Sekolah 150 meter, persyaratan minimum (marka ZoSS, Zebra Cross, rambu lalu lintas, marka jalan zigzag kuning dan pemandu penyeberangan), serta tambahannya adalah APILL berkedip.

Abstract

Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat Pembuatan Gapura Pintu Masuk di Jalan Handayani RW 14 Kota Padang adalah inisiatif kolaboratif antara Fakultas Teknik dan Perencanaan Universitas Ekasakti, Dinas Perumahan dan Kawasan Pemukiman, serta pemangku kepentingan terkait. Proyek ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kualitas lingkungan dan memperkuat partisipasi masyarakat dalam pembangunan lokal. Prose ini melibatkan identifikasi kebutuhan masyarakat, survei lapangan, dan konsultasi dengan Dinas Perumahan dan Kawasan Pemukiman untuk memastikan kepatuhan terhadap regulasi teknis. Proses perancangan gapura pintu masuk dilakukan secara partisipatif, melibatkan masyarakat dalam diskusi terbuka dan presentasi desain. Konstruksi dilaksanakan sesuai rencana, dengan melibatkan masyarakat dalam gotong-royong dan pelatihan terkait pemeliharaan. Hasil pelaksanaan proyek mencakup pembangunan gapura sesuai desain yang disepakati, partisipasi aktif masyarakat, dan peningkatan kapasitas mereka dalam pengelolaan infrastruktur. Dukungan penuh dari Dinas Perumahan dan Kawasan Pemukiman membuktikan kolaborasi yang berhasil, mengintegrasikan aspek regulasi dengan kebutuhan masyarakat. Dampak sosial terlihat dalam peningkatan identitas wilayah, estetika lingkungan, dan penguatan hubungan antara perguruan tinggi, pemerintah, dan masyarakat. Ucapan terima kasih kepada semua pihak yang terlibat, serta saran untuk pemeliharaan berkelanjutan, pengembangan keterampilan masyarakat, dan kolaborasi yang lebih erat dengan pemangku kepentingan, diharapkan dapat memperkuat keberlanjutan proyek ini dan memberikan inspirasi bagi upaya serupa di masa mendatang.
