Abstract

Purpose of the study: The purpose of this study was to evaluate health promotion regarding gastritis on improving health knowledge of high school students. Tomeasure the effectiveness of social media as a means of health education, as well as identify factors that influence the success of health promotion in improving students' understanding of gastritis. Methodology: This study uses a qualitative approach to explore the analysis of health promotion regarding gastritis towards health knowledge of high school students. The population is 20 students in junior high school 10 Bengkulu who had access to social media. Data collection techniques used in-depth interviews and focus group discussions. Data obtained from interviews were analyzed using thematic analysis methods. Main Findings: This research shows that health promotion about gastritis through social media is effective in increasing secondary school students' knowledge, attitudes and health behavior. Even though there arin access and understanding of information, the use of digital platforms has proven to be able to reach and engage students in a more dynamic and interactive way. Novelty/Originality of this study: The novelty of this study lies in the use of social media as the main tool in health promotion regarding gastritis. This approach offers a new and more effective way to reach high school students, compared to traditional methods such as lectures or distributing brochures. Social media has the potential to deliver health information in more engaging and interactive way.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: The main objective of this study was to determine the effect of using animated videos in health promotion related to the prevention of sexual violence is to increase students' knowledge and awareness of the dangers of sexual violence and preventive measures. Methodology: This study uses a quantitative research type with a quasi-experimental design involving an experimental group and a control group. The population in this study were fifth grade elementary school students. The data collection technique in this study used a questionnaire method distributed students before and after health promotion intervention. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistical techniques. Main Findings: This study successfully showed that animated videos as a health promotion media are effective in improving the knowledge and attitudes of high school students regarding the prevention of sexual violence. Compared with traditional methods such as power point, animated videos are more able to attract attention and improve students' understanding, resulting in a significant increase in their knowledge and attitudes towards this sensitive topic. Novelty/Originality of this study: The novelty of this study lies in the use of animated videos as an innovative and interesting health promotion media to improve the knowledge and attitudes of high school students regarding the prevention of sexual violence. This study introduces a dynamic and interactive visual approach, different from conventional methods such as lectures or the use of power point.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of health education delivered through the social media whatsapp on increasing knowledge and changing attitudes of adolescent girls about anemia. Methodology: This study used a pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest approach. The research sample consisted of 30 grade X female students selected using a purposive sampling technique. Data were collected through questionnaires given pretest posttest the intervention. Data analysis was carried out using a parametric paired t-test to measure changes in respondents' knowledge and attitudes before and after the intervention. Main Findings: This research is effective in increasing the knowledge and attitudes of young women about anemia. The results showed a significant increase in knowledge and attitude scores after the intervention, indicating that this method could be an efficient alternative for conveying health information to adolescents. However, the limitations of the research design and limited sample require further research with a more robust design and a larger sample to confirm these findings. Novelty/Originality of this study: This study reveals the success of health education delivered through social media platforms in improving students' knowledge about anemia. By utilizing a modern communication technology approach, the results of this study indicate that information delivered in a creative and structured manner can significantly improve students' understanding of the causes, symptoms, and prevention of anemia.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: To explore and analyze the implementation of the Tuberculosis control program using the DOTS strategy at the Satelit Community Health Center. This research aims to identify factors that support and hinder the implementation of the program, evaluate the effectiveness of approaches that integrate Islamic values ​​in health education. Methodology: This research uses a qualitative method with a case study design. The population in this study were all individuals involved in the TB control program at the Satellite Health Center. The data collection technique in this research uses in-depth interviews with guided questions that have been prepared in advance. Data obtained from interviews were then analyzed using thematic analysis method. Main Findings: This research shows that the implementation of the Tuberculosis control program at the Satelit Community Health Center has gone well even though it still faces various challenges. The success of the program is greatly influenced by political commitment, the performance of the Medication Monitor (PMO), as well as adequate facilities and training support. The integration of Islamic values in health education has proven effective in increasing patient compliance and community participation. Novelty/Originality of this study: The novelty of this research lies in the holistic approach in evaluating the performance of community health centers in managing TB, which includes the use of information technology to improve data recording and reporting, intensive training for medical staff in TB case management, as well as improving the infrastructure of community health centers to support more efficient services.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: This research aims to evaluate the effectiveness of using video media in increasing students' knowledge and attitudes about the importance of washing hands with soap at Public Middle School 31 North Bengkulu Methodology: This research uses quantitative methods with a pre-experimental One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The research population was class III students at Public Middle School 31 North Bengkulu, with a sample of 35 students selected using a purposive sampling technique. Data analysis was carried out using the Wilcoxon test to test the difference between pretest and posttest results. Main Findings: This study concludes that the use of video media as a health promotion tool significantly increases the knowledge and attitudes of students at Public Middle School 31 North Bengkulu towards the importance of washing hands with soap. Video media is proven to be more effective than conventional methods in attracting attention and increasing student participation during the learning process Novelty/Originality of this study: This research is very urgent considering the high rate of transmission of infectious diseases among adolescents which can have a significant impact on their health and school attendance. Infectious diseases such as flu, diarrhea and respiratory infections often spread quickly in the school environment, causing high levels of absenteeism and reducing learning productivity.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: This study aims to determine the effect of health promotion through social media whatsapp on adolescent knowledge about gastritis in State High School 03 Bengkulu City. Methodology: The type of research used was the Pre Experimental One Group Pre test and Post test design. The sample in this study was students of class X State High School 03 Bengkulu City, amounting to 30 people, sampling using purposive sampling techniques were analyzed usingtest Wilcoxon. Main Findings: The results obtained by the average knowledge before (7.1000) and after (13.9667). The results of increased knowledge before to after that is (15.50) test results Wilcoxon obtained p value = 0.000 < 0.05 which shows there is an influence after being given health promotion through social media whatsapp about gastritis in adolescents at State High School 03 Bengkulu City. Novelty/Originality of this study: This study found that health promotion through WhatsApp social media significantly increased adolescents' understanding of gastritis, indicating that this instant messaging platform can be an effective and easily accessible health education tool to increase awareness and encourage behavioral change in the adolescent age group.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between knowledge and attitudes with BSE behavior in students of the Public Health Study Program, Jambi University. Methodology: This study used a descriptive analytic research design with a cross sectional approach. The sampling technique used multistage random sampling on 307 students of Public Health by filling in an online questionnaire through a Googleform. The research variables were knowledge, attitudes and BSE behavior which were analyzed using the Chi-square test. Main Findings: Knowledge of female students in the good category is 73 people. Attitudes in the positive category are 52 people, and for BSE behavior in the good category are 68 people. There is no significant relationship between knowledge and BSE behavior, and there is a significant relationship between attitudes and BSE behavior. Novelty/Originality of this study: The results of this research are expected to be useful as material for developing scientific knowledge and to add to the literature on breast cancer itself as well as a study in developing policies regarding the prevention of non-communicable diseases, especially breast cancer in female students.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: This study aims to determine the influence of print media (leaflets) on the knowledge of grade VIII female adolescents about handling dysmenorrhea. Methodology: The type of research that will be used in this study is by using the pre-experimental design method, with the type of pre-test and post-test one group design. The population in this study were 65 female adolescents in grade VIII, of which 40 people experienced dysmenorrhea and 25 people did not experience dysmenorrhea. The sample in this study was 40 female adolescents in grade VIII who experienced dysmenorrhea. Main Findings: The results of the study showed that there was an influence of printed media (leaflets) on the knowledge of female adolescents in grade VIII about dysmenorrhea with a Z coefficient value of -3.945 and an Asym.Sig (p value) of 0.0000 with an Asym.Sig value (p value) <0.05. Novelty/Originality of this study: This study revealed that printed media in the form of leaflets can be an effective educational method in increasing the understanding of adolescent girls regarding the management of dysmenorrhea in junior high schools.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the level of maternal education, the level of maternal nutritional knowledge and the food intake of toddlers on the nutritional status of toddlers. Methodology: This type of research is an analytical survey with a cross-sectional design. The sample in this study was 54 toddlers obtained using random sampling techniques. The instruments used were questionnaires, 24-hour recall forms, foot scales and height measuring tapes or microtoises. The data obtained in this study were processed using chi-square test statistics. Main Findings: There is a relationship between the level of maternal education and the nutritional status of toddlers with a P value = 0.203 based on BB/A and a P value = 0.847 based on the TB/A index, the level of maternal nutritional knowledge on the nutritional status of toddlers with a P value = 0.990 based on the BB/A index and a P value = 0.171 based on the TB/A index. There is no relationship between food intake and the nutritional status of toddlers in Tamangapa Village, Manggala District, Makassar City with a P value = 0.004 based on energy intake with nutritional status BB/A and a P value = 0.006 TB/A. Novelty/Originality of this study: As a reference material for health workers and the government so that they can provide information and direction to the community, especially mothers, to pay attention to food intake and the development of the nutritional status of their toddlers.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: The purpose of this study was to determine the health knowledge and healthy lifestyles of elementary school students. Methodology: This study is a descriptive study using a survey method with instruments in the form of measurement tests, questionnaire instruments to measure health knowledge and healthy lifestyles. The subjects of the study were 52 students of grade V and VI of Baratan State Elementary School, Pakem District, Sleman Regency. Descriptive data analysis techniques with percentages. Main Findings: The health knowledge of students in grades V and VI of Baratan State Elementary School, Pakem District, Sleman Regency is sufficient with a percentage of 36.5% and the students' healthy lifestyle is moderate with a percentage of 50.0%. Novelty/Originality of this study: These findings can be the basis for developing health education programs that are more focused on establishing healthy lifestyles, especially at the elementary school level, which has not been widely discussed in the local context.
