Therefore, instead of using monthly index, daily index is proposed. There are two steps in calculating profit distribution by using daily revenue index: (1) Accumulating Source of Fund (SoF), Reserve Requirement (RR), and Source of Fund after Reserve Requirement (SoFaRR), and (2) Determining Average Financing (AF), Revenue Index (RI), Cost Index (CI), Revenue Sharing Index (RSI), and Profit Sharing Index (PSI).Conclusion - Daily revenue index will solve the unfairness problems arise from current profit distribution method applied in Islamic banks. Daily revenue index is also applicable if Islamic banks apply profit and loss sharing instead of revenue sharing.

Abstract

The gap between demand and affordable supply has led to a housing backlog, especially in Indonesia. Solution is needed, especially to provide housing for low-income earners. This study discusses the potential for implementing a new financing scheme that combines Sukuk Linked Waqf, Cash Waqf Linked Sukuk, CSR, and non-halal funds for housing development in the long-term using the Benefit, Opportunities, Cost and Risk-Analytical Network Process (ANP-BOCR) method. The results of this study indicate that under this alternative scheme, the benefits and opportunities for all parties involved in housing development outweigh the costs and risks. Therefore, the combination of SLF and CWLS has significant potential to solve backlog problem in Indonesia. Keywords:

Abstract

The functions of zakat collection and distribution are carried out by both government and private institutions in Indonesia. As those institutions work without coordination, zakat integration become the main issue. This condition resulted in a zakat distribution gap. The center of economy such as Java may have significant zakat collection and zakat distribution , while remote area with limited resources and worse economic level may face both low zakat collection and zakat distribution. The enactment of Law No. 23 of 2011 concerning the Zakat Management brings hope for integration between government and private zakat operators. This study aims to find out the problems in implementing the Zakat Law, provide solutions and strategies to optimize the effort towards integrated zakat management. The method used in this research is the Analytic Network Process (ANP). The results indicate that there are two clusters of problems; internal and external. Internal issues sorted by priority order are: lack of human resources performance, lack of coordinator capacity, the different level of understanding, and lack of commitment of the zakat operators. External issues sorted by priority order are: lack of information technology development, lack of zakat management standard, lack of information dissemination, and lack of technical regulation. The solutions proposed to solve internal problems according to priority ranking are: coordinator capacity building, internal education on zakat integration, human resource monitoring and evaluation, and zakat operators’ commitment building.  Finally, according to the respondents, the solution proposed based on priority ranking are: zakat management SOP setting, zakat law information dissemination, IT system building, and zakat technical regulation.

The issue of halal certification has become a topic of interest, particularly when considering micro and small businesses. Various perspectives have been examined in the study of halal certificates. In Indonesia, the implementation of Halal Assurance Law no 33 Year 2014 has made halal certification mandatory at the national level. This requirement poses challenges, particularly for small and micro businesses that typically have limited resources. This research analyzes current trends and discussions surrounding halal studies in relation to micro and small businesses. The Google Scholar Database is utilized to ensure broader coverage. The research employs bibliometric analysis and systematic literature review to address the research questions. The study reveals that limited resources are frequently cited as a significant problem for micro and small enterprises. Abstract

Abstract The research aims to identify and collect issues related to the halal industry discussed by users' activities, sentiments, and content on Twitter. The method used involved collecting 135,050 Twitter conversations over a two-year period from July 21, 2021, to March 15, 2023, utilizing the Drone Emprit Academic (DEA) machine. Text data mining techniques were employed with the assistance of the DEA system, which included sentiment analysis, Social Network Analysis (SNA), and other descriptive analyses. The research findings indicate that the highest number of tweets related to the halal industry originated from Indonesia, followed by Malaysia and the United Kingdom. These tweets were predominantly contributed by millennials and zillennials and were characterized by a 71% positive sentiment, 27% negative sentiment, and 2% neutral sentiment. Furthermore, the Social Network Analysis (SNA) revealed integration and collaboration between the halal industry and Islamic financial institutions, suggesting the potential for creating a halal ecosystem. This research serves as a guideline for policymakers in the halal industry sector to evaluate public sentiment and formulate appropriate advancement strategies. Additionally, this study contributes to a deeper understanding of social media data analysis in the context of the halal industry and offers directions for future research. Abstract

Indonesia Law No. 33 of 2014 concerning Halal Assurance requires that by 2019 halal certification should be effectively implemented for food and beverage products, as well as service products related to both. Out of the 1.6 million micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), only 10 percent have been halal certified. This study aims to analyze the factors that influence the perceptions of culinary business owners regarding intention to register for halal certificates. Theory of Planned Behavior will be modified and implemented in preparing the frameworks of the dependent-independent variables. Using partial least square method, 200 sample of culinary producers -owners and managers- in Bogor were studied. Intention of producers is found to be significantly influenced by trust. Trust is also found to be sensitive to functional factor and subjective norm. Trust is also found to be determining attitude, together with functional factor and perceived behavioral norms. Trust is also significant in mediating the effect of perceived behavioral norms to intention, and also in mediating the effect of subjective norm to intention. The population of this study is the MSMEs culinary producers in Great Bogor Area, West Java, Indonesia. Only the respective owners and managers of the responding businesses were the main respondent. Similar research should be done for other types of halal product in order to generalize the results. This research modify TPB in setting the framework of determinants for halal certification intention. Variables added to the original TPB framework are trust and functional factor. This result concludes that trust is crucial in the effort to increase the number of halal certified products in Bogor. The halal certification authorities would have basis to review their policies, procedures, and technical guidelines for halal certification process. This study could be extended in terms of object and other potential determinant variables. Literatures related to halal certification has limited exposure to producers’ motivation for halal certification
