Abstract

Abstract Technological developments are currently widely used for the learning teaching process. It cannot be denied that speaking is the most crucial skill among three others skill in English. Improving speaking skills will help people to talk easily to each other and reduce misunderstandings in communicating with others. Learning through vlog media can be one of the most effective; this is very good where current students must be very familiar with technology. This study focused on students' perception of the learning process for their speaking skills using vlog as learning media. This research is qualitative descriptive research. The participants of the research were second-semester students of Institut Bakti Nusantara which consist of 10 students. Moreover, in achieving this research, the researcher used two types for data collections; that is interview and observation. The results of this research are vlog can make them more confident and improve their motivation to learn English, especially to speak English. Creating vlog increased students' self-confidence because it eliminated worry or fear of making mistakes when speaking English. The students felt free to talk because they didn't think anyone was watching and judging them. They are also motivated because this platform is familiar to them. Students also said that making a video vlog can improve their creativity.

Abstract

SD Muhammadiyah Banyuwangi is a school located in Pringsewu Regency, Lampung. Currently, the admission of new students still uses a manual system so that people who are far from the school sometimes have difficulty registering their children at this school. This problem is what made researchers conduct research and design an online registration application at SD Muhammadiyah Banyuwangi. The purpose of this study is to create a web-based mobile online registration application and provide convenience to school employees in making new student admission reports. The usefulness of this application system is to make it easier for new students to register at SD Muhammadiyah Banyuwangi and make it easier to store new student data. With this application system, new student registration can be done online using a smartphone connected to the internet network so that registration can be done anywhere.

Abstract

Children are the responsibility of parents given by the Creator, therefore it is only right that parents should look after and supervise them, especially when parents decide to enroll their children in a boarding school. On that basis, sometimes time and long distances are usually the main obstacles for parents in obtaining information, coupled with the weak storage of data on student activities by the instructor. For this reason, the purpose of this study is to design a system that helps parents participate in monitoring their children in terms of obtaining information related to students, and this is also a form of responsibility of the boarding school, especially the instructor in providing student information to parents in real time, so that unwanted things such as late information, scattered student data or forgetting factors so that the data provided is incomplete do not happen again. The results of this study are an Android-based Student Activity Monitoring Application using qualitative research with the Design and Creation concept, while the data collection method uses Observation, interviews, and literature studies. The design method uses the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) method and testing this application uses the Black Box and White Box methods. The conclusion obtained from this study is that the Pantau Santri Application makes it easier for parents to obtain information about students during their stay so that parents can obtain more detailed student data.

Abstract

Reading the Qur'an is a fundamental skill that should be introduced from an early age. Juz 'Amma, as the last part of the Qur'an, is often the initial stage in learning to read the Qur'an for children. However, conventional learning methods are often less interactive and less interesting for early childhood. Therefore, this study aims to develop a Juz 'Amma reading learning application specifically designed for early childhood. This application integrates multimedia elements, such as sound, animation, and digital interaction, to increase interest and effectiveness of learning. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) development model. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and application trials on early childhood groups. The results of the study showed that this application can increase children's learning motivation and help them recognize and read the verses of Juz 'Amma better. This application also makes it easier for parents and teachers to accompany the learning process. Thus, the development of this Juz 'Amma reading learning application is expected to be an innovative solution in Al-Qur'an education for early childhood, as well as contributing to improving Al-Qur'an literacy from an early age.

Abstract

Promotion is an important factor in increasing competitiveness and attracting prospective students at SMA N 1 Banyumas. However, selecting effective promotional media is still a challenge for schools because the various media options available have their own advantages and disadvantages. Therefore, a decision support system (DSS) is needed that can help schools determine the most effective promotional media based on various relevant criteria. This study aims to build a decision support system in selecting effective promotional media at SMA N 1 Banyumas using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method. The AHP method is used to analyze and determine the weight of importance of each criterion that influences the selection of promotional media, such as audience reach, cost, effectiveness of information delivery, and level of interaction with prospective students. The results of the study indicate that the developed system is able to provide optimal promotional media recommendations based on the calculation of the priority weight of each alternative analyzed. The implementation of this system is expected to help schools make more objective and strategic decisions in determining the most effective promotional media.
