Librarium: Library and information science journal [ISSN 3047-4779] contains articles written from research and study reports on Library and Information Science. Librarium: Library and information science journal is published twice annually (March and September) by the journal editors from the Nur Science Institute. Every received article will be reviewed by the journal editors and external editors and reviewers who are competent in each related field. The review uses double-blind peer review before the journal is published. The study area of this journal are librarianship, information and archives, including: Library Management. The control and supervision of a library or library system, including planning, budgeting, policymaking, personnel management, public relations, and program assessment, with responsibility for results. Digital Library and Repositories. A library in which a significant proportion of the resources are available in machine-readable format, accessible by means of computers. The physical space (building, room, area) reserved for the permanent or intermediate storage of archival materials. To preserve and protect archival collections, modern repositories are equipped to meet current standards of environmental control and security. Organization of Information. Information organization establishes the conceptual framework for organizing and retrieving information, including the study of systems and their purposes and structures, formats, standards, and vocabularies. Information Services. Generally information services can be divided into two categories: library public user services and library technical user services. Library public user services refer to circulation, bibliographic instructions, distance learning, government documentation, reference and special collection. Library information user services focuses on procedures and operations of maintaining, developing and supporting library collection and services behind the scene such as acquisition, cataloguing, classification, inter library loan, document delivery and serial systems. Knowledge Management. Process of creating (generating, capturing), storing (preserving, organizing, integrating), sharing (communicating), applying (implementing), and reusing (transforming) organisational knowledge to enable an organisation 5 to achieve its goals and objectives. Media and Information Literacy. constitutes a composite set of knowledge, skills, attitudes, competencies and practices that allow effectively access, analyze, critically evaluate, interpret, use, create and disseminate information and media products with the use of existing means and tools on a creative, legal and ethical basis Information and Media Preservation. Prolonging the existence of library and archival materials by maintaining them in a condition suitable for use, either in their original format or in a form more durable, through retention under proper environmental conditions or actions taken after a book or collection has been damaged to prevent further deterioration. Infometrics. The use of mathematical and statistical methods in research related to libraries, documentation, and information. Information Policy. A governing principle, plan, or course of action concerning information resources and technology adopted by a company, organization, institution, or government Documentation System. The process of systematically collecting, organizing, storing, retrieving, and disseminating specialized documents, especially of a scientific, technical, or legal nature, usually to facilitate research or preserve institutional memory. Archive Management. refers to the office or organization responsible for appraising, selecting, preserving, and providing access to archival materials. Information Technology in Information Institute. Information and communication technologies (ICT) facilitate the process of identification, collection, storing, processing and disseminating of information in libraries/information centers/information institute. All manuscripts submitted to the journal are recommended to be written in good English or Bahasa Indonesia. Authors for whom English is not their native language are encouraged to have their papers checked before submission for grammar and clarity. The work should not have been published or submitted for publication elsewhere. The official language of the manuscript is to be published in the Librarium: Library and Information Science Journal in English and Bahasa Indonesia.

Abstract

Introduction: This research aims to determine the influence of bookstagram content on reading interest among its followers. Data Collection Methods: To measure this influence, the researchers distributed questionnaires to the samples in this study. The type of research used in this research is descriptive quantitative research. This research aims to find out the content of bookstagram, to find out the influence on bookstagram content and to find out how big the influence is. Data Analysis: Data analysis techniques in this research use descriptive analysis, normality test, linearity test, simple linear regression analysis test, correlation and determination coefficient analysis and hypothesis testing. Result and Discussion: In testing the hypothesis test, we got a tcount value of 11.254 > ttable 1.966, which means that the content of the bookstagram account has a significant effect on reading interest or in other words has a positive influence between the two variables. Conclusion: The content on the bookstagram account regarding reading interest for its followers shows that the content on the bookstagram account provides information that suits the needs of its followers with the content created by the bookstagram account having a good form of conveying information.

Abstract

Introduction. Digitalization is an essential aspect of academic libraries, especially university libraries, in the 21st century. Digitalization (which relates to the conversion of non-digital materials to digital form) has opened up new audiences and services for libraries and needs to be integrated into the plans and policies of any institution to maximize its effectiveness. Setting up a digital library requires a complex digitization project. Digitalization is a complex process with many vital dependencies between different stages over time. This scientific work was written to examine the concept of digitization, the reasons for digitization, things that must be considered before digitization, the digitization process, the different stages in document digitization, and the challenges of digitizing existing resources in Indonesian public libraries. Data Collection Methods. The method used to analyze this scientific article is descriptive, using a literature study approach. Data Analysis. This literature study was carried out by conducting a peer review of literature sources in the form of articles, books, national journals, international journals, and news in the last ten years, namely 2013 to 2023, which contain keywords in the form of digitalization, libraries, resources, prospects and challenges in general. Comprehensive and in-depth discussion of the digitalization process in libraries, the previous library transfer system to digitalization, and the challenges faced by libraries in Indonesia in meeting this digitalization change process. Results and Discussion. The paper results show that digitalization will enable university libraries to preserve endangered library resources, increase the efficiency of information search mechanisms, and increase access to library resources. Adopting an approach to the issues outlined and references to more detailed sources and past projects will contribute to the future success of starting the digitalization of existing resources in Indonesian public libraries. However, the prospect of digitizing library resources in Indonesia itself is still minimally implemented so the government needs to encourage the implementation of new information technology in Indonesian libraries. Conclusion. Digitalization allows university libraries to safeguard library resources at risk, increase the efficiency of information retrieval mechanisms, and improve overall access to library resources. Digitalization of library resources in Indonesia, except for a few cases, has made very slow progress in automating operations and services. Although there are plans for automation, implementation is unlikely within five years. ==================== Pendahuluan. Digitalisasi merupakan aspek penting bagi perpustakaan akademik khususnya perpustakaan universitas di abad 21. Digitalisasi (yang berkaitan dengan konversi materi non-digital ke bentuk digital) telah membuka khalayak dan layanan baru untuk perpustakaan, dan perlu diintegrasikan ke dalam rencana dan kebijakan lembaga mana pun untuk memaksimalkan efektivitasnya. Menyiapkan perpustakaan digital membutuhkan proyek digitalisasi yang kompleks. Digitalisasi adalah proses yang kompleks dengan banyak ketergantungan penting antara tahapan yang berbeda dari waktu ke waktu. Karya ilmiah ini ditulis dengan tujuan untuk mengkaji konsep digitalisasi, alasan digitalisasi, hal-hal yang harus diperhatikan sebelum digitalisasi, proses digitalisasi, tahapan yang berbeda dalam digitalisasi dokumen, dan tantangan digitalisasi sumber daya yang ada di perpustakaan umum Indonesia. Metode penelitian. Metode yang digunakan pada analisis dalam artikel ilmiah ini adalah deskriptif dengan pendekatan studi pustaka. Data analisis. Studi pustaka ini dilakukan dengan melakukan peer review pada sumber literatur berupa artikel, buku, jurnal nasional, jurnal internasional, dan berita pada rentang sepuluh tahun terakhir yaitu 2013 hingga 2023 yang memuat kata kunci berupa digitalisasi, perpustakaan, sumber daya, prospek, dan tantangan secara komprehensif dan mendalam terkait proses digitalisasi dalam perpustakaan, sistem pengalihan perpustaakan sebelumnya ke dalam bentuk digitalisasi, dan tantangan yang dihadapi oleh perpustakaan di Indonesia dalam menghadapi proses perubahan digitalisasi ini. Hasil dan Pembahasan. Hasil tulisan menunjukkan bahwa digitalisasi akan memungkinkan perpustakaan universitas untuk melestarikan sumber daya perpustakaan yang terancam punah, meningkatkan efisiensi mekanisme pencarian informasi dan meningkatkan akses ke sumber daya perpustakaan. Dengan mengadopsi pendekatan isu-isu yang diuraikan dan referensi ke sumber yang lebih rinci dan proyek masa lalu akan berkontribusi pada keberhasilan masa depan memulai digitalisasi sumber daya yang ada di perpustakaan umum Indonesia, namun prospek digitalisasi pada sumber daya perpustakaan di Indonesia sendiri masih minim diterapkan sehingga pemerintah perlu melakukan dorongan dalam menerapkan teknologi informasi baru di perpustakaan Indonesia. Kesimpulan dan Saran. Digitalisasi menawarkan perpustakaan universitas kemampuan untuk menjaga sumber daya perpustakaan yang berisiko, meningkatkan efisiensi mekanisme pencarian informasi, dan meningkatkan akses keseluruhan terhadap sumber daya perpustakaan. Digitalisasi sumber daya perpustakaan di Indonesia, kecuali beberapa kasus, mengalami kemajuan yang sangat lambat dalam otomatisasi operasi dan layanan. Meskipun terdapat rencana untuk otomatisasi, tetapi implementasinya tidak mungkin terjadi dalam waktu 5 tahun.

Abstract

Introduction. Reading can also be interpreted as a single process to obtain the important meaning of printed media. Reading carefully is not just a casual and intelligent movement but requires the reader to think effectively while reading the words in the book. In educational and learning environments, for example at school or nearby, reading is seen as a cycle towards understanding as an item that can be predicted. This research aims to find out what factors influence students' choices to read in the SMKS Muhammadiyah Long Ikis library as a place to study and to find out what variables most dominantly influence students' choices to read in the SMKS Muhammadiyah Long Ikis library as a place to study. Data Collection Methods. This kind of research is a subjective examination with an illustrative methodology. Data Analysis. Information was gathered using opinion poll techniques while considering a library research approach that utilizes references from books, logical diaries, and advanced papers to increase the diversity of field information, as well as strengthen examination interactions. Results and Discussion. The results of the research show that: There are four factors that influence students' excellence in reading at Long Ikis Muhammadiyah Vocational School as a place of learning, namely the first is individual factors, the second is environmental factors, the third is technological development factors. , and the last is motivation. Conclusion. The most common factors that influence students' choices in choosing to read in the Long Ikis Muhammadiyah Vocational School library as a place to study are individual factors. ================= Pendahuluan. Membaca dengan teliti juga dapat diartikan sebagai proses tunggal untuk mendapatkan arti penting sebuah informasi dari media cetak. Membaca dengan teliti bukan sekadar gerakan santai dan cerdas, namun mengharuskan pembaca untuk berpikir efektif sekaligus membaca kata-kata di dalam buku. Dalam lingkungan pendidikan dan pembelajaran, misalnya di sekolah, membaca dipandang sebagai siklus menuju pemahaman sebagai suatu item yang dapat diperkirakan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini ialah untuk mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang berpengaruh terhadap keputusan siswa untuk membaca di perpustakaan SMKS Muhammadiyah Long Ikis sebagai tempat belajar, dan untuk menentukan variabel mana yang paling berpengaruh terhadap keputusan siswa untuk membaca di perpustakaan SMKS Muhammadiyah Long Ikis sebagai tempat belajar. Metode penelitian. Penelitian semacam ini merupakan penelitian subyektif dengan metodologi ilustratif. Informasi dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan teknik survey sekaligus mempertimbangkan pendekatan penelitian kepustakaan yang memanfaatkan referensi dari buku, dan makalah lanjutan untuk meningkatkan keragaman informasi lapangan, serta memperkuat interaksi peneliti. Hasil dan Pembahasan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa : Terdapat empat faktor yang mempengaruhi keunggulan siswa dalam membaca di SMKS Muhammadiyah Long Ikis sebagai tempat belajar, yaitu yang pertama adalah faktor individu, yang kedua adalah faktor lingkungan, yang ketiga adalah faktor perkembangan tekologi, dan yang terakhir adalah motivasi. Abstract

Introduction. Library information systems, as formal socio-technical elements, are crucial in addressing collection management challenges and meeting information retrieval needs. This research makes an important contribution to the development of information systems according to library needs, addressing the issue of technology integration, and understanding the impact, benefits and challenges of implementation. Data Collection Methods. Using literature analysis, this research collected data from sources such as journals, books and articles. The data was systematically analyzed using content analysis techniques to develop a strong theoretical foundation and support the development of more in-depth research. Data Analysis. Data analysis in this study was conducted using content analysis techniques. This method involves collecting data from various literature sources, such as scientific journals, books, articles, and other documents. The data obtained was then systematically analyzed to develop a strong theoretical foundation, identify the strengths and weaknesses of previous research, and support the development of more in-depth and comprehensive research. Results and Discussion. Highlighting the crucial role of information systems in various contexts, this research uncovers the efficiency and innovation facilitated by information systems. Although faced with implementation challenges such as limited funding and technical skills, there are opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of library services by utilizing appropriate information technology and integrated system development. Conclusion. This research emphasizes the important role of information systems in improving the efficiency of information management and library services. Although faced with challenges, optimizing the implementation of information systems, such as Information Retrieval (IR), Digital Asset Management Systems (DAMS), Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC), and Collection Management Systems (CMS), can improve library performance. Suggestions for future research include exploring integration with new technologies, analyzing social and cultural impacts, and developing training models for librarians to deepen their understanding and contribution to information system development. Abstrak Pendahuluan. Sistem informasi perpustakaan, sebagai elemen sosio-teknis formal, krusial dalam mengatasi tantangan pengelolaan koleksi dan memenuhi kebutuhan pencarian informasi. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi penting pada pengembangan sistem informasi sesuai kebutuhan perpustakaan, menjawab isu integrasi teknologi, dan memahami dampak, manfaat, serta tantangan implementasinya. Metode penelitian. Dengan menggunakan analisis literatur, penelitian ini mengumpulkan data dari sumber-sumber seperti jurnal, buku, dan artikel. Data dianalisis secara sistematis dengan teknik analisis isi untuk menyusun landasan teori kuat dan mendukung pengembangan penelitian lebih mendalam. Data analisis. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik analisis isi (content analysis). Metode ini melibatkan pengumpulan data dari berbagai sumber literatur, seperti jurnal ilmiah, buku, artikel, dan dokumen lainnya. Data yang diperoleh kemudian dianalisis secara sistematis untuk menyusun landasan teori yang kuat, mengidentifikasi kelebihan dan kelemahan dari penelitian terdahulu, serta mendukung pengembangan penelitian yang lebih mendalam dan komprehensif. Hasil dan Pembahasan. Menyoroti peran krusial sistem informasi dalam berbagai konteks, penelitian ini mengungkap efisiensi dan inovasi yang difasilitasi oleh sistem informasi. Meskipun dihadapkan pada tantangan implementasi seperti keterbatasan dana dan keterampilan teknis, terdapat peluang untuk meningkatkan efisiensi dan efektivitas layanan perpustakaan dengan memanfaatkan teknologi informasi yang tepat dan pengembangan sistem yang terintegrasi. Kesimpulan dan Saran. Penelitian ini menegaskan peran penting sistem informasi dalam meningkatkan efisiensi pengelolaan informasi dan layanan perpustakaan. Meski dihadapkan pada tantangan, optimalisasi implementasi sistem informasi, seperti Information Retrieval (IR), Digital Asset Management Systems (DAMS), Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC), dan Collection Management Systems (CMS), mampu meningkatkan kinerja perpustakaan. Saran untuk penelitian mendatang mencakup eksplorasi integrasi dengan teknologi baru, analisis dampak sosial dan budaya, serta pengembangan model pelatihan untuk pustakawan guna memperdalam pemahaman dan kontribusi terhadap pengembangan sistem informasi.

Abstract

Introduction. Pluralism education is very important to be implemented in libraries, especially in public libraries. As an effort to unite differences and respect each other. Libraries as providers of information sources can process and present the information needed by users. Literacy education according to Gus Gur is being able to learn many things from various sources, thereby providing broad insight and forming wisdom. In this way we can appreciate and respect each other. The background of this research is the role of public libraries in supporting Abdurrahman Wahid's pluralist education. Research methods. Using the literature study research method, where the reference source comes from a trusted source, namely in the form of books, journals and other articles related to the research topic. Analysis data. This research uses literature study, by analyzing previous research. Next, draw conclusions from this research and refine it with other research, so that you can form new knowledge. Results and Discussion. The results of this research are the important role of libraries in increasing readers' insight. Public libraries should be able to provide the information sources needed by users. Moreover, in the religious sector, Indonesia has six recognized religions, so libraries should provide literature related to these six religions, without discrimination. Apart from that, libraries must also provide literature from domestic and foreign authors. Conclusions and recommendations. Abdurrahman Wahid is the initiator of pluralism, namely mutual respect and respect for differences, especially differences in beliefs. According to Abdurrahman Wahid, a sense of appreciation and respect for differences comes from broad insight. Broad insight is gained from reading diverse and unlimited literature from one group. In this way, the sense of appreciation and understanding of other people's work grows, then wisdom can be achieved. Abstrak Pendahuluan. Pendidikan pluralisme sangat penting untuk diterapkan di perpustakaan, khususnya pada perpustakaan umum. Sebagai upaya dalam mempersatukan perbedan dan menghormati satu sama lain. Perpustakaan sebagai penyedia sumber informasi maka dapat mengolah dan menyajikan infofrmasi yang dibutuhkan oleh pemustaka. pendidikan literasi menurut Gus Gur adalah mampu mempelajari banyak hal yang berasal dar berbagai sumber, sehingga memberikan wawasan yang luas dan membentuk sebuha kebijaksanaa. Dengan demikian dapat saling menghargai dan menghormati satu sama lain. Latar belakang dari pennelitian ini yaitu peran perpustakaan umum dalam mendukung pendidikan pluralisme Abdurrahman Wahid. Metode penelitian. Menggunakan metode penelitian studi literatur, dimana sumber rujukan berasal dari sumber terpercaya yaitu berupa buku, jurnal, dan artikel lain yang berhubungan dengan topik penelitian. Data analisis. Penelitian ini menggunakan studi literatur, dengan menganalisis penelitian terdahulu. Selanjutnya menarik kesimpulan dari penelitan tersebut dan disempurnakan dengan penelitian-penelitian yang lain, sehingga mampu membentuk pengetahuan baru. Hasil dan Pembahasan. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu, peran penting perpustakaan dalam meningkatkan wawasan pemustaka. perpustakaan umum seharusnya mampu menyediakan sumber informasi yang dibutuhkan oleh pemustaka. Terlebih pada bidang keagamaan, Indonesia memiliki enam agama yang diakui, maka perpustakaan sudah semestinya menyediakan literatur yang berhubungan dengan enam agama tersebut, tanpa diskriminasi. Selain itu perpustakaan juga harus menyediakan literature yang berasal dari penulis dalam negeri dan luar negeri. Kesimpulan dan Saran. Abdurrahman Wahid sebagai penggagas pluralisme yaitu rasa saling menghargai dan menghormati perbedaan, terlebih pada perbedaan kepercayaan. Menurut Abdurrahman Wahid rasa menghargai dn menghormati perbedaan didapatkan dari wawasan yang luas. Wawasan yang luas didapatkan dari membaca literatur yang beragam dan tidak terbatas bersumber dari satu golongan. Dengan demikian rasa menghargai dan memahami hasil karya orang lain itu tumbuh, selanjutnya dapat mencapai kebijaksanaan.

Abstract

Introduction. Digital libraries, as a form of library transformation, are tied to their role as educational centers for all communities. Libraries must maximize their role for millennial readers in this digital native era. This research aims to find out how library transformation contributes to the needs of librarians in the digital native era and also the librarian competencies that librarians must have. This is done because digital natives prefer the internet as the primary information reference source. Digital native is a description of the current generation who are used to fast responses, don't like to wait, and new technology makes them addictive. Research methods. This research is library research with a qualitative approach to obtain detailed information by exploring the substance of information or empirical data obtained from books, results of scientific or formal research reports, or other literature. Data Analysis. Data analysis is done by collecting articles and readings about library transformation and digital natives, which are then classified, analyzed, and interpreted to reach conclusions. Results and Discussion. This research concludes that libraries are obliged to realize data technology as an opportunity to develop rather than view it as an obstacle that will threaten the library's existence. Librarians must be ready and proactive about data technology, information and science advances. Librarians must be active, creative, innovative, and always follow advances in data technology. Conclusions and recommendations. Libraries must change service patterns and improve all matters related to library facilities. Perpustakaan digital sebagai salah satu wujud transformasi perpustakaan terikat dengan perannya sebagai pusat pendidikan semua masyarakat. Perpustakaan harus mampu memaksimalkan peranannya buat pemustaka milenial di masa digital native ini. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana transformasi perpustakaan berkontribusi dengan kebutuhan pemustaka di era digital native dan juga kompetensi kepustakawanan yang harus dimiliki oleh pustakawannya. Hal tersebut dilakukan karena para digital native lebih memilih internet sebagai sumber utama rujukan informasi. Digital native merupakan gambaran generasi saat ini yang terbiasa dengan respon cepat, tidak suka menunggu dan teknologi baru membuatnya candu. Metode penelitian. Riset ini merupakan riset kepustakaan dengan pendekatan kualitatif guna memperoleh informasi yang detail, dengan mengeksplorasi substansi dari informasi ataupun data empirik yang diperoleh dari buku, hasil laporan riset ilmiah ataupun formal maupun dari literatur yang lain. Data Analisis. Analisis data dengan mengumpulkan artikel dan bacaan tentang transformasi perpustakaan dan digital native yang kemudian diklasifikasi, dianalisa dan diinterpretasi sampai mendapat kesimpulan. Hasil dan Pembahasan. Hasil riset tersebut menyimpulkan bahwa perpustakaan wajib merealisasikan teknologi data sebagai kesempatan untuk berkembang serta tidak menganggapnya sebagai hambatan yang akan mengancam eksistensi perpustakaan. Bagi pustakawan harus siap dan juga proaktif terhadap kemajuan teknologi data, informasi dan ilmu pengetahuan. Pustakawan harus aktif, kreatif, inovatif, serta selalu mengikuti kemajuan teknologi data tersebut. Kesimpulan dan Saran. Perpustakaan harus mengubah pola layanan dan membenahi semua hal yang berhubungan dengan fasilitas perpustakaan.

Abstract

Introduction: One of the developments in the era of technology and communication is daily access, for example the internet, which is useful for being able to search for information and provide it to other people. The large amount of incoming information can cause many works to be plagiarized, and one way to prevent this is to use the Turnitin application. The aim of this research is to find out how users perceive the understanding of the Turnitin application to prevent plagiarism in Islamic library and information science research programs. Data Collection Methods: This research uses quantitative descriptive research. Respondents were taken from Islamic Library and Information Science students for the 2019/2020 academic year, totaling 123 students, with a sample size of 55 respondents calculated using the Slovin formula. Data was collected using a questionnaire distributed via Google Form and measured using a Likert scale. Data Analysis: Data analysis uses (1) Variable description analysis, (2) Normality test with the Kolmogrov Smirnov formula to see whether the data is normal or not, (3) Linearity test with a significance value of Deviation from linearity >0.05 then linear, (4) Linear regression test to ensure the relationship between variables x and y. Results and Discussion: The research results show that students' perceptions of the cognitive aspect have the highest index value, while the aspect that needs to be improved is the affection aspect. Student understanding comes from externally. For the simple linear regression test requirements, the data must be valid, reliable, normal and linear, therefore by using a simple linear regression analysis test you can look for relationships to obtain a correlation/relationship value (R) of 0.415. The determinant coefficient (R Square) value obtained through SPSS data processing is 0.172, indicating that the independent variable (perception) has an influence of 17.2% on the dependent variable (understanding). Conclusion: Libraries need to hold workshops on plagiarism or Turnitin to check word similarities to identify plagiarism in final assignments and articles. The target is the entire academic community (lecturers, staff, and students). Therefore, it is hoped that these findings can become the basis for further research and can be continued.

Abstract

The library is a vital information center for educational institutions and the general public. In today's information age, the role of management in optimizing library services is becoming increasingly important. This literature review aims to identify and analyze the crucial role of management in an effort to optimize library services. This research uses a library research approach. The results show that library management plays a crucial role in coordinating the human, financial, technological, and collection resources of the library to meet the needs of its users. This requires effective management strategies in resource management, service planning and development, performance evaluation, and adaptation to environmental change. In addition, other findings indicate that there are challenges facing library management, including financial constraints, technological change, the need for a skilled workforce, and demands for service innovation. In conclusion, library management has a crucial role to play in optimizing library services. With a good understanding of the principles of effective management, libraries can become more responsive to the needs of users and play an active role in supporting the achievement of educational and community development goals through the provision of access to quality information.

Abstract

Introduction: Librarians will encounter various personalities and characters of librarians when helping them. For librarians, it is important to improve interpersonal communication skills to deal with this. The main goal is to provide the best service to users. In this case, it is very important for librarians to have interpersonal communication skills in serving users. Research mMethod: This research uses the library research method, then collects data using secondary sources such as books, journal articles, documents and other means such as websites. Data Analysis: there are three stages in analyzing this research data, namely, collecting data, selecting data and then verifying the data. Results and Discussion: There are several attitudes to have good interpersonal skills, namely, empathy, supportiveness, positiveness, equality, confidence, Immediacy, interaction management. Then there are influencing factors, namely source, encoding, message, channel, receiver, decoding, response, interference, and context in communication. Apart from that, there are several other influencing factors such as cultural background, education, and so on. Furthermore, the urgency of interpersonal communication for librarians occurs because it is considered the most successful in changing the attitudes, beliefs, views and behavior of communicants. Conclusion and Recommendations: Strong communication skills developed by librarians will enable recognizing and understanding the needs and characteristics of librarians. So it is important for librarians to have interpersonal communication skills, listening ability; skills in providing services; and skills in conveying information.

Abstract

Introduction: Information technology in the last few decades has undergone a fairly rapid development. These developments show a change in the way humans interact using new media. YouTube has become one of the social media forms of new media. The millennial generation is a generation whose lives have not been separated from social media, but unfortunately in its use is often used only as a means of entertainment, although in fact there is a lot of useful content in it, such as Islamic content. However, content like this is generally less in demand because of its nature that tends to be serious and not entertaining. One of the youtube channels that attracted a lot of attention from users of social media is the youtube channel Gus Iqdam Officiall. Exposure messages on social media has become one of the containers for disseminating information that has the potential to enhance Islamic literacy. The aim of this research is to find out the impact of Gus iqdam Mohammad's study content on the improvement of millennial generation Islamic literacy in Trenggalek district. Data Collection Methods: This research is research that uses quantitative methods, with data collection methods, namely by distributing online questionnaires using Googleform to respondents in the 22 to 43 year old category who live in Trenggalek Regency with a sample size of 100 people. Data Analysis: The data obtained from distributing online questionnaires was then processed and analyzed with the help of the IBM SPSS V.25.0 application. Results and Discussion: The results showed that there was an effect of exposure to Gus Iqdam Muhammad's recitation content on increasing the Islamic literacy of the millennial generation in Trenggalek district. This result is indicated by the calculated t value of 9.950 which is greater than the t table value of 1.984 and the significance value of 0.000 is smaller than 0.05 at the 5% significance level. So that Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected. The magnitude of the influence of the exposure of Gus Iqdam Muhammad's recitation content on increasing the Islamic literacy of the millennial generation in Trenggalek Regency is indicated by the R square value of 0.484 which indicates that there is an influence of 48.4% while the remaining 51.6% is due to factors not discussed in this study. Conclusion: The results showed that there was an effect of exposure to Gus Iqdam Muhammad's recitation content on increasing the Islamic literacy of the millennial generation in Trenggalek district. Through these results, it is hoped that this research can provide insight into how effective the media is in increasing Islamic literacy.
