Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengungkapkan pengembangan kompetensi dan pendidikan berkelanjutan pustakawan UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta menurut persepsi pustakawan, pimpinan, dan pengguna perpustakaan. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus di Perpustakaan UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta. Hasil penelitian ini adalah sebagai berikut: (1) kompetensi pustakawan UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta yang perlu dikembangkan terbagi menjadi enam bidang, yaitu: kompetensi manajerial, kompetensi pengelolaan informasi, kompetensi kependidikan, kompetensi kepribadian, kompetensi sosial, dan kompetensi pengembangan profesi; (2) pendidikan berkelanjutan bagi pustakawan UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta dilakukan melalui pendidikan nonformal berbentuk pelatihan dengan mengacu pada prinsip pendidikan orang dewasa (andragogi). Adapun materi yang perlu dipelajari dalam kegiatan pelatihan oleh pustakawan UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta meliputi kajian minat dan kebutuhan informasi, seleksi bahan pustaka, pengadaan bahan pustaka, organisasi dan analisis informasi, manajemen perpustakaan, pelayanan informasi, literasi informasi, teknologi informasi, pengembangan kepribadian, dan keterampilan interpersonal.Kata kunci: kompetensi pustakawan, pendidikan berkelanjutan THE DEVELOPMENT OF ADVANCED EDUCATION AND COMPETENCY FOR THE LIBRARIANS OF ISLAMIC STATE UNIVERSITY: A CASE STUDY IN THE LIBRARY OF SUNAN KALIJAGA STATE ISLAMIC UNIVERSITY YOGYAKARTAAbstractThe study was to reveal the development of advanced education and competency for the librarians of Sunan Kalijaga State Islamic University Yogyakarta according to the perception of the librarians, the leaders and the users. The method that the researchers employed was a qualitative method by means of case study approach and the study was conducted in the Library of Sunan Kalijaga State Islamic University. The results of the study were as follows: (1) The competencies for the librarians of Sunan Kalijaga State Islamic Universities that should be developed were divided into six domains namely: managerial competency, information-processing competency, education competency, personality competency, social competency and professional development competency; and (2) The advanced education for the librarians of Sunan Kalijaga State Islamic University should be conducted through a non-formal education in the form of training programs by referring to the principles of andragogy (education for the adult people). However, the materials that should be studied by the librarians of Sunan Kalijaga State Islamic University in the training activities included the interest and information needs analysis, the literary material selection, the literary material procurement, the information organization and analysis, the library management, the information service, the information literacy, the information technology the personality development and the interpersonal skills.Keywords: librarians’ competency, advanced education

Abstract

The advent of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) has significantly transformed library paradigms, shifting from traditional manual systems to digital platforms, a change particularly evident in academic libraries. This study focuses on the University of Muhammadiyah Tapanuli Selatan, aiming to develop a strategic framework for its digital library to enhance services in alignment with the tridharma of higher education. Employing a qualitative, descriptive methodology, the research incorporates both primary and secondary data sources. The analysis involves data reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. Results show that the University's library, accessible through Windows and Android applications, has experienced a marked increase in user engagement from 2020 to 2023. However, despite this growth, the development of the digital library requires further enhancement to fully realize its potential and meet user expectations. This study underlines the need for ongoing development strategies in digital libraries to keep pace with technological advancements and evolving user needs.

Abstract

Abstrak Dalam konteks perkembangan industri konstruksi, literasi profesi bangunan memainkan peran krusial dalam meningkatkan kualitas kerja dan keselamatan di lapangan. penelitian ini mengkaji inisiatif strategis pembuatan Rumah Edukasi Konstruksi oleh mahasiswa di Dusun Siroto Gunungpati, Semarang, sebagai solusi konkret untuk mengatasi tantangan literasi profesi bangunan di daerah tersebut. Melalui metode Focus Group Discussion, studi ini mengevaluasi stategi dampak dan manfaat dari inisiatif tersebut terhadap peningkatan literasi para pekerja bangunan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Rumah Edukasi Konstruksi telah berhasil memfasilitasi transfer pengetahuan antara generasi muda mahasiswa dan pekerja bangunan lokal, serta meningkatkan kesadaran akan pentingnya literasi dalam profesi konstruksi. Penelitian ini memberikan wawasan mendalam tentang potensi dan relevansi inisiatif pendidikan berbasis komunitas dalam mendukung perkembangan profesi bangunan di tingkat lokal, dengan implikasi luas untuk pengembangan sektor konstruksi di Indonesia.Kata kunci: literasi profesi bangunan, rumah edukasi konstruksi, transfer pengetahuan

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peran perpustakaan sebagai media literasi digital masyarakat desa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif. Fokus penelitian adalah mengkaji bagaimana peran perpustakaan sebagai media literasi digital Masyarakat desa. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu library research. Analisis data yang digunakan menurut Milles Hubermas yang mencakup mengumpulkan data, menganalisis data, reduksi data dan penyajian data serta penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini menjelaskan perpustakaan memainkan peran penting dalam membangun literasi digital di masyarakat desa dari berbagai aspek yaitu: Akese informasi, perpsutakaan memberikan masyarakat desa akses ke sumber daya informasi digital seperti, buku, jurnal dan artikel online; Perpustakaan menawarkan pelatihan dan edukasi tentang literasi digital untuk semua usia, dari anak-anak sampai lanjut usia; Perpustakaan dapat menjadi tempat bagi masyarakat desa untuk berkumpul, belajar dan berkolaborasi melalui ruang kerja bersama dan lokakarya. Fasilitas seperti ini mendorong kerja sama dan produktivitas serta membantu masyarakat desa memperoleh keterampilan digital; Perpustakaan sebagai pusat kewirausahaan menyediakan semua sumber daya yang diperlukan untuk memulai dan mengembangkan bisnis berbasis digital, seperti buku, e-book dan materi pelatihan tentang kewirausahaan; serta perpustakaan memastikan bahwa literasi digital tersedia untuk semua orang di masyarakat desa, termasuk anak-anak, remaja, orang dewasa dan lanjut usia.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Libraries as public institutions and literacy media play an important role as providers of information and to educate people in village communities, libraries are not only storage for physical books but libraries hold digital literacy programs as part of efforts to become lifelong facilitators. The aim of this research is to describe the role of libraries as digital literacy media for village communities. The research method used is qualitative research. The data collection technique used is library research. The data analysis used according to Milles Hubermas includes collecting data, analyzing data, reducing data and presenting data as well as drawing conclusions. The results of this research explain that libraries play an important role as digital literacy media for village communities and have a significant role in changing lives in the community, by making libraries a center for digital information, education, collaboration, entrepreneurship and can be accessed by all groups which becomes an important bridge to bring village communities to in the digital era.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the seminar on the introduction of artificial intelligence (AI) and the Variety of Research Tools in writing scientific papers in the Library of Ambarrukmo Tourism College (STIPRAM) Yogyakarta, and the role of seminars on students’ information literacy skills. Descriptive and qualitative research methods were used. Data were obtained through interviews, documentation, and observations. The researchers choose a descriptive qualitative method because of its ability to integrate all data produced descriptively through written expressions, sourced from interviewees, and considered reliable. The results showed that the seminar on the introduction of artificial intelligence (AI) and various research tools in writing scientific papers was well received by students. The material is provided in the form of an explanation of the concept of information literacy, the introduction of artificial intelligence (AI), various research tools in writing scientific papers, the practice and utilization of artificial intelligence (AI) and various research tools in writing scientific papers. This training has the effect of improving the literacy skills of scientific writing. Thus, it can be concluded that the information literacy skills of students, who were originally still limited, are now improving with this seminar. These abilities include identifying information needs, accessing and evaluating information, and utilizing the information wisely and effectively.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui bagaimana seminar pengenalan Artificial Intelligence (AI) dan Ragam Research Tools dalam penulisan karya ilmiah di Perpustakaan Sekolah Tinggi Pariwisata Ambarukmo (STIPRAM) Yogyakarta, dan peran seminar terhadap ketrampilan literasi informasi penulisan karya ilmiah mahasiswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan deskriptif kualitatif. Pada penelitian ini, data di peroleh melalui wawancara, dokumentasi dan observasi. Peneliti memilih metode deskriptif kualitatif karena dalam mengintegrasikan seluruh data yang dihasilkan secara deskriptif melalui ungkapan tertulis, bersumber dari narasumber yang diwawancarai serta dianggap dapat dipercaya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa seminar pengenalan Artificial Intelligence (AI) dan ragam research tools dalam penulisan karya ilmiah yang dilaksanakan dapat diterima baik oleh mahasiswa. Materi yang diberikan berupa penjelasan konsep literasi informasi, pengenalan Artificial Intelligence (AI) dan Ragam Research Tools dalam penulisan karya ilmiah dan praktik serta pemanfaatan Artificial Intelligence (AI) dan Ragam Research Tools dalam penulisan karya ilmiah. Pelatihan ini berpengaruh dalam meningkatkan keterampilan literasi penulisan karya ilmiah. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa keterampilan literasi informasi mahasiswa yang semula masih terbatas, kini semakin meningkat dengan adanya seminar ini. keterampilan tersebut meliputi cara mengidentifikasi kebutuhan informasi, mengakses informasi, mengevaluasi informasi, dan memanfaatkan informasi secara bijak serta efektif.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze the satisfaction of using the library website at the UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta Library with the websqual 4.0 method which consists of usability, information quality and service interaction quality. The sample used was 98 respondents who were users of the UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta Library website. The data collection method in this study used a questionnaire with a Likert scale distributed using googledocs. The data analysis method uses Descriptive Statistical Analysis, while for hypothesis testing using Multiple Linear Regression with SPSS version 24. The results showed that the quality of usability could provide positive and significant user satisfaction to the use of the UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta Online Library during the Covid-19 Pandemic with (sig t-count value (0.000) <Level of Significant (0.05)). the quality of information can provide positive and significant user satisfaction to the use of the Online Library of UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta during the Pandemic Period with (sig t-count (0.034) <Level of Significant (0.05)) and the quality of interaction can provide positive user satisfaction and significant to the use of the Online Library of UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta during the Pandemic Period with (sig t-count (0.019) <Level of Significant (0.05)).

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the security system used in the digital library application developed by the Bank Indonesia Library iBI Library against cybercrime behavior such as data thief or data theft, joy computing, hacking or hacking, data diddling and electronic mutilation and data vandalism. The research method uses literature study, which is research to collect data from reading literature from various sources, namely articles, journals and books that are still relevant to the research as a data source to support the research conducted by the author. The results of this study found that the iBI library application security system uses 4 types of security, namely: 1) service information security consisting of confidentiality, integrity and availability, 2) copyright security in accordance with the Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 28 of 2014 concerning Copyright, 3) collection data security in the form of digital rights management and secure content repository, 4) user security such as single sign on and secure socket layer. In conclusion, the iBI Library application already uses a security system so that libraries and users are safe to use it. This research seeks to analyze the security system that exists in iBI Library, the Bank Indonesia library application to protect the library from potential threats originating from cybercrime. Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out the strategy to create an inclusive library, including in the Grhatama Pustaka (Grhatama Library). The research method used is descriptive qualitative. Data collection was obtained through interviews with librarians, observation, and documentation. The results showed that the Grhatama Library to realize an inclusive library was carried out through 3 aspects, namely the function aspect as an information provider, the facility aspect whose design was friendly to disability, and the human resource aspect through training, but this had not been carried out thoroughly but the library took the initiative to hold a Braille Literacy event (LIBRA) and Whispering Cinema or Whispering Screen (LASIK). Abstract

Abstract: Interpersonal skills are one of the mandatory assets that librarians must have to be able to carry out the Social Inclusion-Based Library Transformation program, because in its concept, social inclusion is closely related to library relations with the community. This study aims to find out why interpersonal skills become cultural capital in the Social Inclusion-Based Library Transformation program. This research uses a literature review design which is carried out by reviewing, summarizing, and pouring the thoughts of researchers from several library materials such as books and journals. The result of this research is that so far the library has a program with a brilliant idea but it is not achieved well because of the librarian's inability to communicate it. Thus, interpersonal skills are very important The TPBIS program is carried out as planned. Based on Pierre Bourdieu's capital practice, there are four capitals to achieve goals, namely economic capital, cultural capital, social capital, and cultural capital. Interpersonal skills are cultural capital. With one cultural capital, he can automatically attract three other capitals because Bourdieu's capital practice has a butterfly effect that can bind the other three capitals. Keywords: Interpersonal skills; Librarian; Social Inclusion-Based Library Transformation; Cultural Capital. Abstrak: Keterampilan interpersonal merupakan salah satu modal wajib yang harus dimiliki pustakawan untuk dapat melaksanakan program Transformasi Perpustakaan Berbasis Inklusi Sosial, karena dalam konsepnya, inklusi sosial sangat erat kaitannya dengan hubungan perpustakaan terhadap masyarakat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui mengapa keterampilan interpersonal menjadi modal kultural di dalam program Transformasi Perpustakaan Berbasis Inklusi Sosial. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain kajian literatur (literature review) yang dilakukan dengan cara mengulas, merangkum, dan menuangkan pemikiran peneliti yang berasal dari beberapa bahan pustaka seperti buku dan jurnal. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah selama ini perpustakaan mempunyai program dengan ide brilian akan tetapi tidak tercapai dengan baik karena ketidakcakapan pustakawan di dalam mengkomunikasikannya. Maka, keterampilan interpersonal menjadi sangat penting agar Program TPBIS terlaksana sesuai rencana. Berdasarkan praktik modal Pierre Bourdieu terdapat empat modal untuk mencapai tujuan yakni modal ekonomi, modal kultural, modal sosial, dan modal kultural. Keterampilan interpersonal merupakan modal kultural. Dengan satu modal kultural, maka ia secara otomatis dapat menarik tiga modal lainnya karena praktik modal Bourdieu mempunyai butterfly effect yang mampu mengikat tiga modal lainnya.Kata Kunci: keterampilan interpersonal; pustakawan;  transformasi perpustakaan berbasis inklusi sosial; modal kultural.

Abstract

Conflict is not a new phenomenon in the library environment, but librarians must be able to deal with it. Emotional intelligence is needed to create existing conflict management. Emotional intelligence is a skill related to emotions such as the ability to control individual and other people's anger so that managing anger is to examine thoughts and actions. Emotional management skills can help individuals understand and manage emotions and use information to influence thinking and behavior when interacting with others in certain organizations. Librarians must be able to deal with moods, emotions and feelings so that librarians don't get emotional easily and don't even affect their performance. It also helps build empathy because when a librarian understands her mood and other people's feelings. Thus introducing a person to work better with others and preventing conflicts.
