Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of Risk-Based Business Licensing through the Online Single Submission Risk-Based Approach (OSS-RBA) system in Sibolga City from the perspective of the government and business actors, and identify obstacles that influence the increasing legal presence of business actors. The study uses an empirical legal method with a descriptive-analytical juridical-sociological approach. Data were obtained through interviews, observations, and literature studies, then analyzed qualitatively using an interactive analysis model. The results show that the implementation of OSS-RBA has driven the transformation of licensing services towards a faster, more transparent, and integrated risk-based digital system. From the government's perspective, OSS-RBA provides benefits in the form of administrative efficiency, business data integration, and permit issuance. Meanwhile, business actors gain ease of business legalization through the publication of a Business Identification Number (NIB). However, the implementation of OSS-RBA still faces various legal and non-legal obstacles, such as regulatory requirements, weak supervision, low digital literacy, limited technological infrastructure, and a low legal culture in the business community. Therefore, the success of OSS-RBA is not only measured by the number of permits issued, but also by its ability to build legal awareness and a culture of legal business in society.

Abstract

Sneaker culture has evolved from footwear use into a space for expressing identity, community affiliation, nostalgia, and symbolic consumption. Air Jordan occupies a prominent position in this culture by combining sports history, design, celebrity narratives, scarcity, and collectible value. Nevertheless, enthusiasm for models, colorways, collaborations, and resale prices is not always accompanied by the ability to read signs critically. This community service article introduces the SEPATU Model as an accessible semiotic literacy mentoring approach for sneaker communities. SEPATU stands for observing signs, exploring contexts, mapping meanings, analysing sign systems, examining authenticity, and testing consumption decisions. The program is designed through a participatory sequence consisting of an initial assessment, an introduction to semiotics, an Air Jordan object clinic, group discussion, presentation of analyses, and critical-consumer reflection. Evaluation uses pretest-posttest instruments, analysis worksheets, participation observations, and satisfaction surveys. The model connects the concepts of icon, index, symbol, denotation, connotation, and myth with product knowledge and ethical consumption considerations. Its primary outputs are a concise learning module, a sign-reading matrix, and a purchasing-decision checklist. Conceptually, the SEPATU Model expands community engagement in communication and design by moving beyond product aesthetics toward a critical understanding of the relationships among signs, identity, popular culture, authenticity, and responsible consumption decisions.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of supervisors' social support and self-efficacy on academic anxiety in students who are preparing their thesis at Malahayati University. This study uses a quantitative approach with a research sample of 137 students. Data were collected through the academic anxiety scale, the supervisor's social support scale, and the self-efficacy scale which was compiled in the form of a questionnaire with the Likert scale. Data analysis was carried out using multiple linear regression with the help of the SPSS program. The results of the study showed that simultaneously the social support of the supervisor and self-efficacy had a significant effect on academic anxiety by 50.4% Partially, the social support of the supervisor did not have a significant effect on academic anxiety, while self-efficacy had a significant effect on academic anxiety. These findings show that self-efficacy is a more dominant factor in influencing academic anxiety in students who are preparing their thesis and plays an important role in helping students face academic demands during the study completion process.
