The results of the partial analysis show that the t-value is 7.959 > 2.03 (t-table) and sig 0.000 < 0.05, so H1 is accepted and H0 is rejected, it can be concluded that return on assets has a significant effect on profit growth. The t-calculated value is 0.792 < 2.03 (t-table) and sig 0.434 < 0.05, so H2 is rejected and H0 is accepted, it can be concluded that return on equity has no significant effect on the company's profit growth. The t-calculated value is 0.702 < 2.03 (t-table) and sig 0.488 > 0.05, so H3 is rejected and H0 is accepted, it can be concluded that the net interset margin has no significant effect on profit growth. The calculated F value of 24.391 is greater than the F table which is 3.24 with a significance level of 0.000 which is much smaller than 0.05, so it can be concluded that hypothesis H4 is accepted which means return on assets, return on equity and net interest margin have a significant effect simultaneously. on profit growth.

Abstract

The flash flood in Belawan sub-district was caused by the entry of water from the Belawan and Deli rivers into the area when the sea water was at high tide. The inundation caused by the elevation of the land is below the level of the tide and river water enters through the drainage channel. Rob research in Belawan uses descriptive and qualitative methods. The distribution of inundation was analyzed using tidal analysis using the admiralty method which was the input to calculate the distribution of inundation using GIS. The flood risk index is calculated using the threat index and vulnerability index parameters. The results of this research show that the disaster risk index in Belawan sub-district is already at high risk with a risk index of 0.78.

Abstract

Increased population growth causes land needs to increase and forces underprivileged people to live in inappropriate areas such as river banks. The purpose of this research is to identify the types of spatial utilization and the dynamics of spatial utilization of non-conformity to spatial planning regulations in the Deli River border corridor in Medan City. This research uses a descriptive-qualitative approach with Geographic Information System (GIS)-based spatial analysis method, particularly overlay technique, to compare the regulation of Medan City Regional Regulation on Regional Spatial Plan Year 2022-2042. The analysis in 2024 showed significant discrepancies between the existing space utilization and the planned spatial pattern of the RTRW, indicating deviations between planning and actual conditions that may affect ecological and economic functions and hinder sustainable development. The identification of mismatches in various areas shows that incompatible land uses can disrupt the balance of the ecosystem and require more effective spatial adjustments.

Abstract

This study examines the role of competence, career development, and organizational commitment as factors influencing employee retention at PT Perkebunan Nusantara IV (Persero), a State-Owned Enterprise (BUMN) in Indonesia engaged in the management and processing of plantation products. The research addresses the significance of human resources in achieving company goals, emphasizing the need for effective employee retention strategies to prevent turnover and ensure organizational success. The study highlights how competence, as defined by Spencer and Spencer (1993), and career development are crucial in retaining employees. Organizational commitment, encompassing normative, affective, and continuous commitment, is explored as a mediating variable that may clarify the relationship between competence and employee retention. The findings suggest that higher levels of competence and perceived organizational support positively influence organizational commitment, which in turn enhances employee retention. This study contributes to the literature by offering insights into the mediating role of organizational commitment, providing a unique perspective on how companies can improve retention rates by fostering employee competence and career development.
