Abstract

One of the factor causing road damage that often occurs and can had to futher damage the groves without any cracks. This damage will be examined using the four samples taken from drill cores in a way that develoving cracks in street groove without cracks.  The sample is then carried out the testing of physical properties and testing of Marshall.The result showed that the factors that cause, such as: asphalt concrete mixtures by using asphalt concrete that’s too small, insufficient in weighing aggregate, because too much use of fine-grained aggregate and the amount of sand used is greater than fifteen percent, which is not in accordance with the specifications required. This resulted in unstable asphalt concrete mixtures, so that when traversed by vehicle will cause the grooves that made an impression of vehicle wheels.

Abstract

Dewasa ini perkembangan beton sangat pesat, sehingga kriteria mengenai beton juga berubah sesuai dengan perkembangan jaman dan kemajuan tingkat mutu beton yang dapat dicapai. Karena itu banyak sekali bangunan yang menggunakan beton sebagai bahan utamanya, apalagi bangunan tingkat tinggi atau bangunan yang mempunyai bentang lebar akan membutuhkan beton yang mempunyai kekuatan tekan yang tinggi.  Kekuatan tekan beton dipengaruhi oleh kualitas bahan pembentuknya, kepadatan dan rasio air semen, sehingga pengaruh kadar air dalam pembuatan beton mutu tinggi sangat penting. Dengan demikian menggunakan bahan tambah Superplasitcizer yang dapat mengurangi penggunaan air diharapkan meningkatkan kekuatan tekan beton tetapi memudahkan dalam pekerjaannya.Penggunaan bahan tambah mineral ( additive ) untuk mendapatkan beton mutu tinggi saat ini sudah merupakan bahan yang penting. Bahan tambah mineral merupakan bahan tambah yang mengandung pozzollan. Pozzollan adalah bahan tambah yang kandungan utama silika dan alumina . Abu sekam padi yang mempunyai kandungan silika yang tinggi dapat dimasukkan sebagai  pozzollan.Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan abu sekam padi sebagai pengganti sebagian semen terhadap kuat tekan dan kuat tarik beton mutu  K – 500 . Dalam penetilian ini persentase pemakaian abu sekam padi sebesar  2,5 % ; 5% ; 7,5 % dan 10 % terhadap semen. Benda uji beton berbentuk kubus berukuran ( 15x15x15 ) cm untuk kuat tekan dan benda uji berbentuk silinder berukuran diameter 15 cm dan tinggi 30 cm digunakan untuk uji kuat tarik belah .Dari hasil pengujian didapatkan hasil bahwa kuat tekan dan kuat tarik pada beton yang menggunakan abu sekan padi kekuatannya meningkat bila dibandingkan dengan beton normal ( beton tanpa abu sekam padi ).

Abstract

Under conditions of rapid change, then every organization needs to act as an adaptive consequence of internal and external environmental changes that occur with an orientation to provide the best service to its customers. Various efforts were made Department of Civil Engineering Politeknik Negeri Sriwijaya is an effort to improve service and convenience to the students by building facilities and infrastructure and curriculum programs. This study aims to determine the extent of student satisfaction to the utilities in the Department of Civil Engineering Politeknik Negeri Sriwijaya, to know the attributes or indicators that need to be improved, and learned attributes or indicators that need to be maintained in giving satisfaction to the students of the Utilities Department of Civil Engineering at Politeknik Negeri Sriwijaya. The research is an applied research, a systematic study of a problem with the objective to be used immediately for specific purposes. This study is also an observational study is the observation of the studied object, trying to gather data from a phenomenon that has emerged. The study using 168 samples with Stratify Proportional Random Sampling technique. Variables studied variables in the Service Quality Dimensions that are used as indicators of Quality of Service. Dimension is divided into two main parts: Variable Interest ; a student's perception of the utility in POLSRI expectations, and satisfaction variables ; a student's perception of the utility's performance in POLSRI. The variables studied are variable in the dimension of service quality : Tangible, Reliability, Responsiveness, Assurance, and Empathy. Analytical techniques used Importance-perfomance is also called the Gap Analysis. Gap Analysis results will be described with Cartesian Diagram, by calculating the average of the interest assessment which is a dimension of ServQual and satisfaction of each variable or attribute. The results showed that the level of student satisfaction of utility in the Department of Civil Engineering Politeknik Negeri Sriwijaya amounted to 3.274 from 5.0 Scale. Level of student interest to utilities amounted to 4.390 5.0 Scale. Rate Gap students in the utility is equal to -1.116 5.0 Scale. Above findings obtained in this study, then there are some suggestions that can be given, is to optimize the handling of student satisfaction better, Conduct periodic customer satisfaction research, and the tendency of "operations oriented" to move on "service oriented", and understanding of social conditions and consumer culture in South Sumatra, may also be considered in formulating a strategy that can be given excellent service to students.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to  determine and compare the value of compressive strength, tensile strength, heavy volume, and workabilities concrete produced from a mixture of concrete with substitution of oil palm shells with coarse aggregate with a variation of 10%, 20%, 30%, 40% and 50% by adding additional ingredients (additives) superplasticizer. Quality concrete planned in this study is  K-250.  The test result shows  that the oil palm shell concrete mixed by adding additional ingredients (additives) superplasticizer, resulting in compressive strength, tensile strength of concrete is lower and lighter weight concrete, the more the percentage of oil palm shells is substituted  with coarse aggregate, the more decline the compressive strength, tensile strength of concrete will be, but  weight concrete is also lighter. Meanwhile, by adding  superplasticizer to the mixture of oil palm shell concrete, workabilities and the concrete compressive strength  produced will be  better than normal  mixture concrete.  Percentage reduction in compressive strength  obtained in a mixture of oil palm shell concrete superplasticizer + 28 days is 25.72% - 67.39%., The decrease percentage  in tensile strength is obtained in a mixture of oil palm shell concrete age of 28 days which is  33,43 d 28 days which is 10,67% in the variation OPS 10%, whereas in the OPS mixture of 40% and 50% ratio ft / fc' is very small.

Abstract

Perumahan merupakan salah satu kebutuhan dasar manusia dan merupakan faktor penting dalam peningkatan harkat dan martabat kehidupannya.  Bagi masyarakat berpenghasilan rendah, untuk memperoleh rumah yang layak, sehat, aman, serasi dan teratur, baik untuk pemilikan rumah maupun untuk pembangunan/ perbaikan rumah sederhana sehat sangat sulit, untuk itu perlu dilakukan suatu kajian terhadap kemampuan membeli rumah bagi masyarakat berpenghasilan rendah.Data yang dibutuhkan untuk mengkaji besaran subsidi yang harus disediakan yaitu pola penghasilan dan pengeluaran, kemampuan mengangsur, besaran keluarga dari masyarakat berpenghasilan rendah dan nilai jual rumah pada saat sekarang.  Untuk selanjutnya dianalisis hubungan antara kemampuan finansial masyarakat berpenghasilan rendah dan pengadaan rumah serta daya beli masyarakat berpenghasilan rendah.Dari hasil survey didapat kan bahwa masyarakat berpenghasilan rendah di kota Palembang rata-rata memiliki penghasilan sebesar  kurang dari Rp 600.000,00 sampai dengan Rp 1.000.000,00. Dengan Kemampuan mengangsur berkisar anatara Rp 100.000,00 sampai dengan Rp 200.000,00.  Dan dari hasil perhitungan didapat bahwa masyarakat berpenghasilan rendah di Kota Palembang memiliki kemampuan membeli rumah tipe 36 dengan cara mencicil dengan jangka waktu 15 tahun yaitu sebesar Rp 122.126,00 dengan tingkat suku bunga bank yang berlaku kurang lebih 12 % per tahun.

Abstract

Politeknik Negeri Sriwijaya adalah salah satu dari tiga Perguruan Tinggi yang ada di Sumatera Selatan, yang dalam kiprahnya sebagai penyelengara pendidikan tinggi, dituntut untuk selalu meningkatakan pelayanan kepada masyarakat.  Hal ini dapat dilihat perannya dari tahun ke tahun dengan terjadi peningkatan jumlah mahasiswa yang diterima.  Dengan terus bertambahnya jumlah mahasiswa akan berpengaruh kepada penyediaan prasarana yang ada, termasuk lahan perparkiran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: mengetahui fasilitas tersedia berdasarkan peruntukannya,  mendapatkan karakteristik parkir, pemanfaatan lahan yang ada dan kebutuhan parkir pada lima tahun mendatang serta rekomendasi untuk pengembangan.  Metoda yang dipakai adalah dengan pengamatan langsung selama satu hari dengan tetap memperhatikan arus lalulintas disekitar kampus.Dari analisa diperoleh : akumulasi parkir sepeda motor = 1320 kendaraan, roda empat =161 kendraan.  Luas lahan yang tersedia berdasarkan peruntukan sepeda motor = 280 m2 dan untuk roda empat= 1036 m2  Berdasarkan pemanfaatan (optimasi) lahan luas lahan parkir roda dua = 2080 m2., roda  empat = 4.912,7 m2Kebutuhan luas lahan parkir lima tahun mendatang untuk roda dua =2.940 m2 sedangkan untuk roda empat = 4.596,7 m2.  Untuk kelancaran arus lalulintas dalam kampus, perparkiran perlu dilengkapi marka dan rambu sesuai dengan fungsinya.  Disarankan untuk membedakan arus keluar dan masuk kampus mengingat berdekatan dengan jalan utama Srijaya Negara

Abstract

Sungsang Village placed in Musi River downstream, littoral terrain of Sumatra Island. Nevertheless, its inhabitant has difficulty in acquiring sanitary water. Existent water resources are still hampered by limited quantity and quality, as well as the costly price. Water Treatment Plant (WTP) at Sungsang Village which was provided by the authorities -applying ultrafiltration and reverse osmosis technology- could not be functioned since 2007 considering that operational funding inadequacies and unavailability of the water distribution systematization. This research aims to analyze feasibility on water distribution network system at Sungsang Village wchich is focused on the amount of investation needed. The analysis method in this study includes to observe the water needs aspects by conducting the water utilization survey at the household stratum, then to analyze technical aspect and finally to analyze the engineering economic aspects. There are two configuration alternative models, which are technically calculated and simulated using computer program. Subsequently, the whole of investments is evaluated in financial feasibility with certain criteria that have been determined. This research concudes that alternative I is more feasible than that of alterntive II.

Abstract

Concrete is construction material which frequently used in the field of civil engineering. In constructing process, concrete material is a part of building structure with some superiorities, among others, are: high compressive strength, being able to be formed as needed, no serious maintenance needed, and relatively fireproof and weatherproof. Various studies and experiments in the field of concrete as part of efforts to improve the quality of concrete. One way to increase the strength of concrete is to increase the compacting, which minimizes pores or cavities formed in the concrete. The additive material used in this study is fly ash. Fly ash is a waste of coal burning. The fly ash in this study was taken from PLTU Bukit Asam Tanjung Enim. The type of fly ash used is fly ash F class, which is the result of burning of coal of anthracite/bituminous with low content of CaO, less than 10%.  Maximum density of concrete can be attained by compacting the fresh concrete. The main goal of compaction of the fresh concrete is to eliminate air cavities and to achieve maximum density. The concrete compressive strength will increase if the density of concrete also increases. The compaction of 75 kg / cm ² with no fly ash added   generates  the strength of compressive of concrete  41.08 MPa. The greater compaction of fresh concrete is given, the more compacted the concrete will be, surely the  weight of the concrete content will get heavier. This is because the concrete that has been compacted  will be more compacted, so that air pores in the concrete will be smaller than normal concrete. The maximum weight of concrete of compaction   75 kg / cm ² with no fly ash added is  2.518 ton / m³. In this study the crack tend to form columnar type.
