Abstract

The Correlations among English Teachers’ TPACK, TISE, ITOE, and Teaching Implementation. Objectives: This research is correlational research that aimed to find out the correlations among Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK), Technology Integration Self-Efficacy (TISE), Instructional Technology Outcome Expectation (ITOE), and Teaching Implementation. Methods: TPACK-EFL Survey and Motivation of Technology Integration in Education Scale Questionnaires were distributed to 60 students of the English language teacher professional education program at Sriwijaya University in the academic year 2018/2019. Findings: The findings of this research showed that the students have a high understanding level of TPACK, high level of TISE, high level of ITOE, and good in teaching implementation, and there are positive significant correlations among TPACK, TISE, ITOE, and teaching implementation. Conclusion: Not only the technical equipment but also the qualified teachers who understand how to advance the ICT are very needed. Therefore, both understanding TPACK and acquiring TISE-ITOE are necessary. Keywords: Teacher Professional Education Program (PPG), TPACK, TISE, ITOE. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpp.v10.i3.202013

Abstract

Using Peer Editing and Peer Feedback Techniques in Writing to Private University Students. Objectives: this reserach is to find out whether there was any significant difference betweeen the students are taught by using Peer Editing and Peer Feedback Technique. Methods: Quasi-Experimental method was used by providing two groups as an experimental group and control group. The total of students from both groups was 100 students. The data were analyzed by paired sample t-test and independent sample t-test. Findings: The result of paired sample ttest innexperimental and control group showed that value of p-value was .000. At the signicance level p > 0.05 for two tailed test. Conclusion: the use of Peer Editing and Peer Feedback technique can improve students’ in writing narrative text. Keywords: peer-editing technique, peer feedback technique, writing skill DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpp.v10.i3.202001

Abstract

Online Learning during Covid-19 Pandemic: Does it run well? Objectives: This article was aimed to identify the challenges that occur in the implementation of online learning during Covid-19 pandemic in several developing countries from teachers and students perspectives. Methods: We applied a systematic review of literature using search protocol based on the PRISMA recommendation statement. The initial step of the study was the formulation of the research problem, then search of relevant research results from national and international journals with the keyword “Covid online learning” on ScienceDirect, Directory of Open Access Journals and Google Scholar search engine. Then, an analysis of relevant research results was carried out in relation to challenges in the implementation online learning during Covid-19 pandemic in all level of educations. Findings: As a result, teachers mostly face challenges on the planning, implementation and evaluation of online learning. Technological challenges are the main challenges that students face in online learning during Covid-19 pandemic. Conclusion: There should be further investigations to identity challenges that teachers and students face in online learning. Keywords: online learning, challenges, covid-19, teachers, students DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpp.v10.i3.202006

Abstract

The Use of Molecular Simulation-Assisted Discovery Learning in Improving Science Process Skills. Objectives: This study aimed to describe the effectiveness of molecular simulationassisted discovery learning (MSADL) in improving science process skills (SPS) on chemical equilibrium. Methods: This research used the matching-only pretest-postest control group design. The population in this study was all students of XI MIA at MAN 1 Bandar Lampung in 2019/ 2020. The sample was XI MIA 5 and XI MIA 6 obtained by purposive sampling. The data analysis technique used the t-test. Findings: The results showed the average n-gain of students’ SPS using MSADL was 0.76 in high criteria, while the average n-gain of students’ SPS using conventional learning was 0.54 in moderate criteria. The t-test results showed that the average n-gain of students’ SPS using MSADL was higher than students’ SPS using conventional learning. Conclusion: It can be concluded that MSADL is effective in improving students’ SPS on chemical equilibrium. Keywords: discovery learning, science process skills, chemical equilibrium. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpp.v10.i3.202012
