Abstract

Background: Treatment efforts with albendazole have been implemented for a long time but intestinal worms are still a problem in Indonesia and even in the world, there are aspects or non-pharmacological factors that affect the treatment of intestinal worms with albendazole. The purpose of this study was to determine the nonpharmacological aspects of albendazole treatment in intestinal worms. Method: This research is a systematic review. Sources of research articles were taken from the PubMed database, Science direct, Wiley online library and Google scholar, with the keywords "worms" or "helminthiases" or "soil transmitted helminthes" and "albendazole" or "albendazole" and "drug adherence" or " drug compliance” and “nutrition” or “nutritional” and “age” or “age” and “gender” or “sex” and “environment” or “sanitation”. A total of 6,322 articles were obtained from the initial search and from all these articles, 4 articles were found that met the criteria for analysis. The literature search was carried out in February-March 2021. The article selection process was in accordance with the guidelines from the Preferred Reporting Item for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analysis (PRISMA). Results: A total of 6,322 articles were obtained from an electronic search by searching the PubMed database, Wiley on library and Science Direct as many as 592 articles and 5730 articles found through additional searches from Google Scholar. After screening by title, abstract and fulltext, 4 articles were found that were carried out in Asia (1 study) and in Africa (3 studies). The non-pharmacological aspects found were one study for drinking adherence factors, 1 study on nutritional factors, age and sex factors simultaneously and 2 articles related to environmental factors. Conclusion: This study conclude that four non-pharmacological aspects that affect the medication of albendazole in intestinal worms. There are medication adherence, nutrition, age and gender, and environmental factors. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct further research to see the relationship between compliance, nutrition, age, gender and environmental factors.

Abstract

Background: Corona Virus Disease 2019 (Covid-19) has become a worldwide pandemic. Covid-19 is still a public health problem, especially in Indonesia. One of the problems to faced in controlling Covid-19 is community knowledge, attitudes and action. The purpose of this study is to description knowledge, attitudes and action on public actions regarding government policies in an effort to control Covid-19 in the city of Manado. Method: This is an observational study with a cross-sectional approach. The research was carried out in the Manado city in September 2020 - February 2021. The respondents in this study were residents of the Manado city who met the inclusion criteria. This study used 385 respondents. The research variables are knowledge, attitudes and actions. Informants were obtained using an online questionnaire using the google form application. Data analyzed univariatly. Results: The results showed that the most respondents are 17-25 years old (69.1%), female (66.2%), have college education (74.8%) and work as students (36.9%). Furthermore, most of the respondents fall into the very good category for knowledge (88.3%), attitude (67.0%) and action (54.8%). Conclusion: That can be conclude the people of the city of Manado have excellent knowledge, attitudes and actions about control policies of Covid-19. Therefore, it is necessary to continuously disseminate information about efforts to control and prevent Covid-19.

Abstract

Background: Premarital sexual behavior in adolescents is currently in a frightening stage where more and more teenagers have had sex. There are several factors related to this behavior such as knowledge, information media, religiosity and family roles. The purpose of this study was to analyze the factors related to premarital sexual behavior in adolescents at the State Vocational High School (SMKN) 2 Tondano. Method: This is an observational research with a cross sectional study approach. This research was conducted at SMKN 2 Tondano in April-May 2018. The subjects in this study were 74 students aged 16-18 years. Samples were taken using a simple random sampling. The variables studied in this study were premarital sex behavior as the dependent variable. Knowledge, sources of information, religiosity and family roles as independent variables. Data obtained through interviews. The measuring instrument used is a questionnaire. Data analysis was carried out univariate and bivariate. Results: The results showed that the most distributed respondents were in poor knowledge (55.4%), good sources of information (58.1%), good religiosity (56.8%), good family roles (55.4%) ) and unfavorable premarital sex behavior (63.5%). The results of the bivariate analysis showed that knowledge, sources of information and family roles were related to premarital sex behavior in adolescents while religiosity was not related. Conclusion: The conclusion of this study is that knowledge, sources of information and family roles are factors related to premarital sex behavior in adolescents at SMKN 2 Tondano. Therefore, there is a need for programs that can increase knowledge such as counseling, disseminating correct sex information and increasing parental supervision of teenagers.

Abstract

Background: The Covid-19 pandemic was changed the learning methode to online so that was disrupt the education method. Factors such as physical activity, fatigue, time management to learning motivation are often the main causes. The purpose of this study was to analyzed the correlation between learning motivation and the student academic achievement in offline and online learning methods during the Covid-19 pandemic. Method: This is a correlation research. The Research respondents were students of the Faculty of Sports Science, Manado State University, class of 2017 as many as 75 respondents. The research was carried out in February-May 2021. The variables were the learning motivation and academic achivement. The questionnaires in the form of google forms as a research instruments. The data were analyzed univariately and bivariately. Results: The results showed that the motivation to learn offline with a 5th semester GPA was in good category (29.3%) and very good (70.7%). Motivation to learn online in the Covid-19 situation with a 6th semester GPA in good category (76%) and very good (24%). The results of the bivariate analysis showed that there was a correlation between learning motivation and academic achievement (p=0,001). Conclusion: The conclusion of this study is that there is a correlation between learning motivation and academic achievement.
