Abstract

Dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) is a disease caused by dengue virus transmitted through the bite of the Aedes aegypti mosquito. Environmental factors, such as rainfall, temperature and altitude influence the spread of DHF. This study aims to determine the correlation of rainfall with the incidence of DHF in Tomohon City in 2015-2017. This type of research uses correlational quantitative research using Time Series data. The study population was DHF sufferers who were recoded at the Tomohon City Health Office in 2015-2017. The sample of this reseach is the total population. Data were analyzed using Microsoft Excel and SPSS. Data is displayed in graph and table form. The correlation test results between rainfall and the incidence of DHF in Tomohon City obtained p = 0.019 which means the value of p <0.05. The conclusion of this study is that there is a relation between rainfall and the incidence of DHF in Tomohon City in 2015-2017.

Abstract

Background: In-patient ward is vulnerable to infectious diseases due to hospital activities. An infectious disease often encountered in hospitals is a nosocomial infection caused by germs. The most potentially potential source causes nosocomial infections in the treatment rooms, medical tools and air. The purpose of this research was to measure the microbial density rate in each in-patient ward on the Hospital Level IV LANUD Sam Ratulangi Manado. Method: A cross-sectional study has been conducted in in-patient wards of Hospital Level IV LANUD Sam Ratulangi Manado. The  microbial density rate of indoor air in seven in-patient wards (male room  class 2, male room class 3, female room  class 2, female room class 3, children room  class 2, children room class 3, and general inpatient room) were measured two times (morning, and before sunset) at three different sampling sites of each room. Result: The results show that the microbial density rate between 505,5-1916 CFU/m2.The highest rate was found in female room class 2 and the lowest rate was found in general inpatient room. Conclusion: In conclusion, the microbial density rate between 505,5-1916 CFU/m2 and there was 100% quality of air do not comply with the health requirements as regulated in the Ministry of Health Decision of 1204/MENKES/ SK/X/2004.

Abstract

Stroke is a functional brain disorder in the form of paralysis of the nerves due to impaired blood flow in one part of the brain. Ischemic stroke is the flow of blood to the brain stops due to blood clots that block blood vessels. The incidence of ischemic stroke occurs between 70% - 85% of stroke events. The prevalence of stroke in Indonesia in 2013 was 7‰ and increased in 2018 to 10.9‰. Based on Riskesdas in 2018, North Sulawesi ranks third highest for stroke sufferers in Indonesia. This research purposes to determine the relationship between hypertension, diabetes mellitus, and hypercholesterolemia with the incidence of ischemic stroke at GMIM Pancaran Kasih General Hospital Manado. This research uses analytic observational study with case control design and using Chi-Square test. The population in this study were all outpatients who came for treatment at the Neurology Polyclinic of GMIM General Hospital Pancaran Kasih Manado. The total sample of the case and control group was 72 respondents. This study uses secondary data on medical record files using a checklist. The results showed that hypertension was associated with the incidence of ischemic stroke with the results of the chi-square test obtained p value = 1,000 (p> 0.05) and OR value = 1.24 (95% CI; 0.342 - 4.498). The conclusion of this study is that there is a relationship between hypertension and the incidence of ischemic stroke and there is no relationship between diabetes mellitus and hypercholesterolemia with ischemic stroke.

This research aims to know how much residual pesticide levels of orgonophosphate in plants in the agricultural land Mahena subdistrict Tahuna. Method: Research method, this research is a quantitative research laboratory based. The research was conducted in September 2019 until October 2019. Sampling in this research is taken from 4 locations with a total of 4 sanpel in the farm land Mahena subdistrict Tahuna. Result: The results of this study using the maximum residue limit (BMR) with the type of pesticide insecticide active ingredient Dimacide 400 EC showed that the average value of laboratory test Results Location 1 (0.63014), location 2 (0.1464), location 3 (0.28339), location 4 (0.0137) can still be tolerated with a maximum residue limit. The results of this research are based on laboratory test faculty of MIPA UNSRAT. Conclusion: The results of this research can be concluded that to 4 samples of the level of pesticides orgonophosphate still meet the requirements of the maximum residue type of vegetables Kangkung in Menkes No 39 Tahuna 2015 because less than 1 ppm.

Abstract

Background: Climate and environmental factors that are most instrumental in DBD disease are air temperature, humidity, and water availability. When Earth warming gradually increases, the effect is the acceleration of mosquito repellent. The research aims to describe the incidence of Dengue Haemorraghic Fever (DHF) in South Minahasa Regency in 2016-2018. Method: It is a correlational quantitative study using Time Series. This research was located in the South Minahasa district of North Sulawesi Province on September-October 2019 Data analyze univariatly and bivariatly. Result: The results of the research based on Spearman correlation test conducted obtained by the value p 0.959 mean that there is no significant relationship between air temperature and the incidence of DHF, Spearman correlation test conducted obtained the p-value of 0.031 is mean There is a significant link between the rainfall with the incidence of DHF, Spearman correlation test conducted obtained by the value of 0.273 This means there is no significant link between the humidity of air with the incidence of DHF, the Spearman correlation test obtained p-value of 0.776 This means there is no significant relationship between population density with the incidence of DHF. From the results of the research conducted on macro climate relations and population density with the incidence of DHF in the region of South Minahasa Regency in the year 2016-2018. Conclusion: It can be concluded there has no correlation between temperature, humidity and population density with the incidence of DHF but has correlation between the rainfall with the incidence of DHF.
