Abstract

In the contemporary digital era, the design of user interfaces (UIs) and the subsequent experience of users (UEs) of systems and applications have become pivotal in enhancing the quality of interaction. It is evident that APE Cafe, a commercial entity operating within the culinary sector, necessitates a web design that is both intuitive and aesthetically pleasing in order to optimise the user experience. The objective of this study is to design the user interface and experience (UI/UX) for the APE Cafe website using the Figma software and a design thinking approach. The methodology employed comprises five stages: empathy, definition, ideation, prototyping and testing. During the empathy stage, researchers gathered information about user needs and expectations through interviews and surveys. In the subsequent phase, the identification and formulation of user problems was initiated. In the ideation stage, a variety of ideas for solutions were developed, followed by the creation of prototypes that allowed for design visualisation. In the final stage of the research process, the prototypes were subjected to a series of user tests with the objective of eliciting valuable feedback. The findings of the study demonstrate that the resulting design is aligned with user needs and enhances the quality of interaction. The utilisation of Figma resulted in enhanced efficiency and collaboration within the design process, enabling the team to expeditiously adapt to alterations and user feedback. It is anticipated that this research will positively contribute to the development of the APE Cafe website and enhance customer satisfaction through the provision of a superior user experience. Moreover, the findings of this study can function as a reference point for other businesses seeking to design effective and efficient user interfaces and user experiences.

Abstract

Efficient logistics distribution is a significant challenge in Papua, especially for products that are in high demand such as Troy cigarettes. This study focuses on optimizing the distribution process from two central warehouses—Abepura and Kotaraja—to eleven destination points throughout Papua. The initial distribution plan was created using the Least Cost method to identify the minimum cost allocation. This allocation was then evaluated using the Stepping Stone method to measure its optimality and efficiency. The results of the analysis showed a total distribution cost of IDR9,900,000, with no negative opportunity cost values ​​found in the evaluation. This indicates that the initial allocation was optimal. The workload was evenly distributed, with each warehouse supplying 100 of the total 200 slops. The results of the study stated that the incorporation of optimization methods into research operations can significantly reduce logistics costs and improve delivery efficiency, especially in areas with complex geographic and transportation challenges. Companies are advised to apply this approach regularly and update data costs to maintain the accuracy of future logistics planning.

Abstract

Pisang lumpur merupakan salah satu jajanan tradisional Indonesia yang digemari masyarakat karena cita rasanya yang khas dan harganya terjangkau. Namun, proses produksinya pada UMKM seperti Pisang Lumpur Kabul masih dilakukan secara manual dan belum mengoptimalkan penggunaan bahan baku. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengoptimalkan kombinasi bahan baku agar biaya produksi dapat diminimalkan tanpa mengorbankan kualitas produk. Metode yang digunakan adalah Linear Programming dengan pendekatan grafik untuk memvisualisasikan solusi optimal secara dua dimensi. Data produksi mencakup dua varian produk, yaitu pisang coklat keju dan pisang coklat keju kacang, dengan keterbatasan bahan baku berupa pisang, tepung, dan telur. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa solusi optimal diperoleh dengan hanya memproduksi 100 unit pisang coklat keju (X₁) dan tidak memproduksi pisang coklat keju kacang (X₂), dengan total biaya minimum sebesar Rp274.000. Penggunaan bahan baku seperti pisang dan tepung telah dimaksimalkan, sedangkan telur memiliki surplus. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa metode pemrograman linier dapat digunakan secara efektif untuk meningkatkan efisiensi produksi UMKM kuliner.

Abstract

Combating narcotics crimes poses a serious challenge for the criminal justice system in Indonesia. This article examines the effectiveness of the criminal justice system, which includes the roles of the police, prosecutors, courts, and correctional institutions in addressing narcotics-related offenses. This study employs a normative and empirical juridical approach, analyzing relevant legal regulations and reviewing case data and field practices. The findings indicate that despite intensive law enforcement efforts, the effectiveness of the criminal justice system is still hindered by limited resources, weak inter-agency coordination, and the need for rehabilitative approaches toward drug users. Comprehensive reform of the criminal justice system is necessary, including strengthening the capacity of law enforcement institutions and optimizing restorative justice as an alternative to punishment.

Abstract

The development of digital technology requires service businesses such as barbershops to have an attractive, informative, and easily accessible online platform for users. A well-designed user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) play an important role in creating a first impression, increasing customer satisfaction, and loyalty. This study aims to design the UI/UX of the Ape Barbershop profile website using the Human Centered Design (HCD) approach and conduct usability testing with the System Usability Scale (SUS). The HCD method applied consists of three main stages, namely Inspiration, Ideation, and Implementation. At the Inspiration stage, observations and questionnaires are distributed to prospective users to explore the needs, preferences, and obstacles experienced when accessing barbershop information online. The Ideation stage produces a design of interaction flows, information structures, and UI elements based on the results of the user needs analysis. Furthermore, the Implementation stage realizes the website prototype and tests it on users using the SUS method. The test results show that the final design has a good level of usability with a SUS score of 85%, which is included in the "Excellent" category. This shows that the HCD approach is able to produce website designs that are in accordance with user needs and preferences. This study concludes that the application of HCD and evaluation using SUS is an effective combination in producing optimal UI/UX designs for web-based services such as barbershops.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the level of end user satisfaction with the e-learning website at SMK Pelayaran Ampari using the End User Computing Satisfaction (EUCS) approach. The EUCS method includes five main variables, namely content, accuracy, format, ease of use, and timeliness. Data collection was carried out by distributing questionnaires to 60 respondents who were active students who had used the website. The results of data processing showed that the average score for each variable was: content 3.97; accuracy 3.88; format 3.85; ease of use 3.90; and timeliness 3.83. Of the five variables, the content variable had the highest score, indicating that the information presented in the system was considered relevant and according to user needs. However, the timeliness variable got the lowest score, indicating that the speed and timeliness of the system in presenting information or exam access still needed to be improved. Overall, the average score of 3.89 indicated that users were quite satisfied with the available system. Recommendations for improvement are directed at improving system performance in terms of access speed, exam time management, and interface features to be more interactive and responsive. It is hoped that the results of this study can be a reference for developers and system managers in improving the quality of e-learning services during exam implementation.

Abstract

Masih banyak sekolah yang menghadapi tantangan dalam mengelola keuangan secara manual, termasuk SD YPK Maranatha Ardipura IV di Kota Jayapura, Papua. Pencatatan yang dilakukan melalui buku dan file Excel sering kali menyebabkan keterlambatan laporan, kesalahan input, hingga risiko kehilangan data. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk merancang sebuah sistem informasi pembayaran siswa yang mampu meningkatkan efisiensi, ketepatan, dan transparansi dalam pengelolaan keuangan sekolah. Data diperoleh melalui observasi langsung serta wawancara dengan kepala sekolah dan bendahara guna memahami kebutuhan serta permasalahan yang dihadapi. Pengembangan sistem menggunakan metode prototype, yang memungkinkan pembuatan model awal sistem, lalu diuji dan diperbaiki berdasarkan masukan dari pengguna. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keterlibatan aktif pengguna dalam setiap tahapan pengembangan sangat membantu dalam menciptakan sistem yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan di lapangan. Sistem yang dirancang diharapkan dapat menjadi solusi digital yang tidak hanya memudahkan administrasi keuangan, tetapi juga mendorong pengelolaan yang lebih akuntabel dan modern di lingkungan sekolah.

Abstract

In the digital era, the use of information technology is the main need to improve administrative efficiency in various sectors, including higher education. Universitas Sepuluh Nopember (USN) Papua faces obstacles in the process of admitting new students which are still carried out manually, causing various problems such as inefficiency, risk of data errors, and limited information. To overcome this, this study aims to design a new student admission information system using the Unified Modeling Language (UML) approach that is able to describe the system visually, structured, and easy to understand. The research method used is software engineering with data collection techniques through observation and interviews. The results of the system design are visualized through use case diagrams, activity diagrams, sequence diagrams, and class diagrams to model the process and structure of the system as a whole. It is hoped that the results of this research can provide information system solutions that are more effective, efficient, and support transparency and accountability in the process of accepting new students in the university environment.

Abstract

Sistem kasir Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan membangun sebuah sistem informasi kasir penjualan sembako berbasis web pada Toko Lina Surya, dengan menggunakan metode pengembangan sistem prototyping. Sistem ini dirancang untuk menjawab berbagai permasalahan yang sering terjadi di toko sembako, seperti pencatatan transaksi yang masih dilakukan secara manual, rawan kesalahan input, keterlambatan dalam pelayanan kepada pelanggan, serta kesulitan dalam menghasilkan laporan keuangan dan stok barang secara cepat dan akurat. Fitur utama dalam sistem yang dikembangkan mencakup pencatatan transaksi penjualan secara otomatis, cetak struk pembelian, pengelolaan data barang dan pegawai, laporan penjualan dan keuangan, notifikasi stok barang menipis, serta login multi-level untuk admin, kasir, dan pemilik toko. Metode prototyping dipilih karena bersifat iteratif dan memungkinkan keterlibatan langsung pengguna melalui umpan balik selama proses pengembangan, sehingga sistem dapat disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan operasional di lapangan. Implementasi sistem dilakukan menggunakan teknologi berbasis web dengan bahasa pemrograman PHP dan basis data MySQL. Pengujian sistem dilakukan dengan metode black-box untuk memastikan bahwa semua fungsi bekerja sesuai harapan. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa sistem ini mampu meningkatkan efisiensi operasional toko, mempercepat proses transaksi, meminimalkan kesalahan pencatatan, serta memberikan dukungan pengambilan keputusan melalui laporan yang tersaji secara real-time. Sistem ini juga meningkatkan kenyamanan bagi pelanggan dan mempermudah pemilik toko dalam memantau kinerja usahanya dari berbagai perangkat.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of information technology has brought significant improvements in the efficiency of healthcare services, especially in patient registration systems. Klinik K24 Abepura currently relies on a manual system, leading to long queues, data entry errors, limited access to doctor schedules, and poor data security. This research aims to design an online registration and queue management system using a website platform with the Design Thinking approach, which consists of five stages: Empathize, Define, Ideate, Prototype, and Test. Observations and interviews were conducted to identify user needs. The resulting system allows patients to register online, view real-time doctor schedules, and receive queue notifications. A prototype was developed using Figma for three user roles: patients, doctor assistants, and administrators. Usability testing involving 10 respondents used the System Usability Scale (SUS), resulting in an average score of 81.5, categorized as “Excellent.” The system enhances administrative efficiency, reduces queues, and improves the overall user experience. Additionally, security measures such as encryption and user authentication ensure the protection of sensitive medical data. These findings suggest that the system is feasible and can serve as an adaptive digital solution to existing challenges in healthcare clinic services.
