Abstract

Various activities and programs have been implemented to develop English education, especially in Kudus, Central Java. However, there are still several urgent problems that need to be resolved, namely the teaching competence of MA English MGMP teachers in Kudus, which needs to be improved through the provision of assistance and the implementation of the English Key learning model and ICT media. This community service program has four areas of focus, namely learning management, tenses learning model, human resources and supporting competencies. The method used is provision and mentoring. The solution will be implemented through the following methods and stages: 1. Socialization and Deliberation, 2. Training and Provision, 3. Implementation of competency in teaching tenses and ICT Media, 4. Mentoring and Evaluation, 5. Program Sustainability. In implementing this Community Service Program, the science and technology used by the implementing team is the implementation of the Wrench and TOEFL Approach which are provided and used in carrying out provision and mentoring to partners. The wrench and TOEFL approach were chosen because of their effectiveness, systematicity and ease of learning even for beginners, considering that implementers have limited time to achieve maximum results.

Abstract

Building farmer groups has the potential to enhance both administrative and organizational management, as well as the technical aspects of agriculture. Weak institutional management can hinder the efficiency and effectiveness of farmer groups in carrying out agricultural activities. One of the weaknesses in the institutional management of farmer groups is related to the organizational structure, management, and coordination among group members. The Baleubat Dua farmer group in Cidewa Hamlet Dewasari Village Handap Herang District, Ciamis Regency is the object of community service activities related to institutional management of farmer groups with a total of 20 members of farmers and breeders. The method of approach is by conducting counseling and discussions related to the obstacles faced by farmer groups in terms of management and institutions that farmers want to know and the solutions provided to build more professional and competent farmer groups. The activity's outcomes demonstrated that participants were highly engaged in counselling activities, resulting in two-way contact between the communicator and the participants. The communicator's questions, suggestions, and productive conversations substantially aided this activity. The implementation of good management will strengthen collaboration among farmer group members and open up opportunities for diversification of farming businesses.

Abstract

Tasikmalaya Regency, with its abundant agricultural potential, is a strategic location for the Integrated Farming System Development Project in the Highlands (UPLAND). This project aims to increase agricultural productivity through a holistic and integrated approach, focusing on developing location-specific, export-oriented agricultural commodities. The 1st Batch of Livestock Business Management Field School was held to improve the knowledge and skills of farmers in livestock business management. The method used was participatory learning based on experience, with 80% of the time spent on direct practice in the field. The evaluation results showed an increase in the average score of participants from 69.60 to 84.40, proving the effectiveness of the Field School in improving knowledge and skills. The practice of cultivating Green Forage was the most popular activity. The Field School has proven to be effective in improving the knowledge and skills of farmers in various agricultural sectors, in line with previous research. This activity ended with the preparation of a follow-up plan by participants to apply the knowledge gained. However, the limited duration of the training and the evaluation that was limited to measuring knowledge were noted. For the future activity, a more comprehensive evaluation and development of a more in-depth training module are needed.

A Likert-scale survey and qualitative feedback were utilized as evaluation instruments to assess the program's effectiveness. The results indicated a significant improvement in students' knowledge and comprehension, entrepreneurial innovation skills, attitudes, motivations, and high levels of participant satisfaction. Additionally, the program was perceived as highly relevant to the context of the Asian community. The dissemination and promotion of the program through social media and mass media further enhanced its visibility and strengthened the academic reputation of Universitas Galuh. The program successfully met its objective of preparing students to become sustainable entrepreneurs. This achievement was attributed to the well-structured curriculum, the expertise of invited speakers, interactive pedagogical approaches, and the materials' relevance. Given its success, this program has the potential to serve as a model for the development of future sustainable entrepreneurship education initiatives.
