Abstract

One of the case studies in the Interior Product Design class is that students learn to use leftover industrial materials, namely wood and paper, into decorative works that have functional and aesthetic value. The aim of this lesson is to determine the effectiveness of the learning by doing method in optimizing the quality of designing student room accessories and to provide awareness to students about the importance of reprocessing waste into new creative works, namely interior accessories. Creation of work through a simple design thinking process, namely Inspiration, Ideation and Implementation and using the Learning by Doing method in the implementation process. The results obtained from this program are a creativity process using the learning by doing method which allows for direct learning experiences independently and collectively as well as a deeper understanding of the process of creating interior accessory works. Students also become skilled in processing wood and paper waste and are able to be creative by transforming wood and paper waste into decorative lamps for residential purposes.

Abstract

The year 2020 witnessed unprecedented global changes due to the COVID-19 pandemic, profoundly affecting daily life. The education sector, a significant casualty, underwent considerable transformation in Indonesia. Swift government policies highlighted the commitment to prioritize education amid adversity. This study employs both functionalism and Victor Turner's social drama to comprehend the educational shifts during the pandemic. Using a literature review, diverse sources were analyzed through Turner's social drama concept. The pandemic's impact on education unfolded in breach, crisis, redress, and outcome stages. Significant adjustments in learning methods ensued, challenging all stakeholders. A governmental response with new policies aimed to mitigate the crisis. A year later, persistent challenges led to the introduction of the Kurikulum Merdeka. Despite learning disparities, signs of recovery surfaced, attributed to factors like the Kurikulum Merdeka, teacher development, and local government support. While facing challenges, effective implementation of the Kurikulum Merdeka requires comprehensive support. Turner's social drama model provides a nuanced understanding of societal dynamics during crises, complementing functionalism's macro-level focus. Its flexibility enables a productive analysis of societal crises, contributing to a holistic view of societal events.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the steps for character education through the Tahfidz Al Qur'an program at SD I Batusangkar, to identify the Islamic character of students at SMAN I Batusangkar through the Tahfidz Al Qur'an program. This research uses a qualitative descriptive research type with data triagulation analysis techniques. To obtain information, researchers used interview techniques, observation and documentation with the subject teachers and school principals. Based on the results obtained: Steps for Islamic character education through learning Tahfidz Al Qur'an at SNAN I ; SMAN I Batusangkar has provided a form and pattern of Islamic character education in learning Tahfidz Al Qur'an which includes 5 characters, namely: Religious, clean, istiqomah, disciplined and patient in learning. The aim of this research is 1. To know the steps for Islamic character education in learning Tahfidz Al-Qur'an. 2. To find out the implementation of Islamic character education in learning Tahfidz Al Qur'an.

Abstract

This study aims to enhance the engagement and learning outcomes of 7th-grade students at MTsN 2 Aceh Timur through the implementation of a learning scenario based on the "Snakes and Ladders" game. The research method employed is Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consists of the stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data were collected using observation sheets to measure student engagement and learning tests to assess the improvement in understanding the material. Data analysis was carried out descriptively and quantitatively to determine the development of student engagement and learning outcomes from one cycle to the next. The results showed a significant increase in student engagement during the learning process. Additionally, there was an improvement in student learning outcomes, as indicated by the increase in the average student scores in each cycle. The application of the learning scenario based on the "Snakes and Ladders" game proved effective in creating a more interactive and enjoyable learning environment, which ultimately had a positive impact on students' learning outcomes.

Abstract

Sekolah berbasis kearifan lokal memberikan kesempatan bagi peserta didik untuk mengenal, memahami, dan melestarikan nilai-nilai budaya daerah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk program, pelaksanaan, dan strategi manajemen pembelajaran berbasis kearifan lokal di MTsN 9 Aceh Timur. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan subjek terdiri dari wakil kepala sekolah, komite sekolah, dan guru. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepala sekolah melaksanakan tiga fungsi manajerial utama dalam program ini, yaitu: (1) Perencanaan berbasis visi-misi sekolah dan kebutuhan lingkungan, dilakukan secara partisipatif dengan mempertimbangkan kesiapan sumber daya; (2) Pelaksanaan mencakup arahan, pembagian tugas, pembentukan tim kerja, penyediaan fasilitas, serta kolaborasi dengan masyarakat; (3) Pengawasan dilakukan untuk menilai kesesuaian pelaksanaan dengan rencana dan memperbaiki kinerja secara berkelanjutan. Dalam kepemimpinannya, kepala sekolah menerapkan gaya demokratis, otokratis, dan paternalistik sesuai situasi dan karakter guru, guna menciptakan lingkungan kerja yang efektif dan mendukung budaya mutu. Strategi ini mendukung tercapainya sekolah yang berprestasi dan berkarakter lokal.
