Abstract

In this article, we look at how teachers can use folk oral works - proverbs, riddles, fairy tales, and folk songs - across several school subjects in primary grades. Instead of keeping these materials only in native language classes, we tested what happens when teachers bring them into math, science, music, and art lessons. We ran a two-year trial with 240 students in schools across Bukhara region. Our results showed that students in the test group did better than their peers in learning new ideas, thinking more freely, and holding onto what they learned. We argue that folk oral works, when teachers use them in more than one subject, become a much stronger teaching tool than they are under the usual approach.

Abstract

In the modern education system, increasing students’ active participation and developing their cognitive abilities are considered among the most pressing issues. In traditional classroom settings, opportunities for students to freely express their opinions are limited, which restricts the full manifestation of their creative and critical thinking abilities. The relevance of this study arises from the need to improve the process of eliciting and effectively utilizing students’ ideas through the use of interactive and digital tools in higher education institutions. The main purpose of this research is to experimentally investigate the effectiveness of expressing and sharing students’ opinions using the interactive platform Padlet Sandbox. A mixed-methods methodology was employed in the study, combining quantitative and qualitative analyses. A total of 60 third-year students from the Samarkand State Pedagogical Institute participated in the research and were randomly assigned to experimental and control groups. In the experimental group, classes were organized using the Padlet Sandbox platform for 12 weeks, while traditional teaching methods were applied in the control group. Data were collected through questionnaires, observations, in-depth interviews, and content analysis. Statistical analyses (t-test, ANOVA, and regression analysis) were conducted using SPSS 26. The results demonstrated that the level of opinion expression among students who used the Padlet Sandbox platform was 34% higher than that of the control group (p < 0.01). In addition, collaborative skills among students in the experimental group increased by 28%, while creative thinking abilities improved by 41%. The platform also ensured anonymity among students, reduced hesitation, and increased the level of active idea exchange. The findings of the study theoretically expand the possibilities of applying constructivism and connectivism educational theories in practice. From a practical perspective, the results suggest that higher education institutions can organize learning processes using interactive platforms, value students’ opinions, and promote their cognitive development through appropriate methodological recommendations. The limitations of the study include the selected sample size and duration. Future research is recommended to investigate the effectiveness of this platform in different cultural and linguistic contexts.

Abstract

Game-based learning has emerged as a significant pedagogical approach in contemporary education systems due to its capacity to enhance cognitive engagement, motivation, and meaningful learning experiences. At the same time, traditional folk games represent a valuable cultural resource that has remained underutilized within formal school curricula. This study examines the pedagogical foundations for integrating traditional folk games into modern primary education programs and evaluates their impact on pupils’ intellectual development and learning engagement. A quasi-experimental research design was employed involving primary school students divided into experimental and control groups. The experimental group participated in structured learning activities incorporating traditional folk games aligned with curriculum objectives, while the control group followed conventional instructional methods. Data were collected through classroom observations, cognitive development tests, and student engagement questionnaires. Quantitative and qualitative analyses demonstrated significant improvements in attention, memory performance, problem-solving ability, and collaborative learning behavior among students exposed to folk game–based instruction. Findings indicate that culturally grounded play activities support active learning environments, strengthen socio-cognitive skills, and foster deeper conceptual understanding. The study contributes to international pedagogical discourse by proposing a structured integration model linking cultural heritage with competency-based education frameworks. Results highlight the importance of culturally responsive pedagogy and provide practical strategies for educators seeking innovative instructional approaches. The research confirms that integrating traditional games into modern curricula promotes holistic child development while preserving cultural identity within globalized educational contexts.

Abstract

This article presents a scientific and theoretical analysis of methods aimed at developing pragmatic competence in students of foreign language philology. It is grounded in Noam Chomsky’s theory of linguistic competence, the communicative competence model developed by Michael Canale and Merrill Swain, as well as J.L. Austin’s speech act theory. Additionally, the didactic features of methods such as task-based learning, role play, case studies, project-based learning, the use of authentic materials, and digital simulations, as well as the skills they develop and their role in education, are examined in accordance with the requirements of CEFR standards and UNESCO strategies. Furthermore, it is demonstrated that applying these methods as an integrated and complementary system contributes to the comprehensive development of students’ communicative competence.

Abstract

This work provides an in-depth analysis of the methods for forming fundamental knowledge in the process of teaching information security technologies. In the modern digital society, ensuring the security of information resources and information systems has become one of the most important socio-economic and technological challenges. Therefore, training specialists in the field of information security who possess qualified, profound theoretical knowledge and can adapt to rapidly changing technological environments is one of the pressing issues in the education system. The paper elucidates the concept of educational fundamentalization and its close connection with teaching information security disciplines. Fundamental knowledge includes not only practical skills but also a deep understanding of basic concepts such as cryptography principles, mathematical and logical protection of information, algorithm theory, network technologies, operating system architecture, and security policies. The article systematizes and defines effective approaches to forming fundamental knowledge, which is necessary for successfully teaching information security technologies. This includes, in particular, focusing on interdisciplinary integration of study objectives; problem-based learning and teaching conceptual modeling; alignment of theory with practical application; and a focus on the development of analytical and logical thought. This way they do not only use a tool, but understand the theoretical basis for security processes.
