Abstract

This community service program aimed at enhancing the financial management practices of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Jakarta through the SI-APIK application. The program addressed the challenges SMEs face in managing their finances by providing targeted training and hands-on use of the SI-APIK application, designed to help businesses maintain accurate financial records in accordance with SAK-EMKM standards. The intervention resulted in a significant improvement in financial literacy, with 75% of participants gaining a clear understanding of financial reporting standards. Furthermore, 90% of the SMEs adopted the SI-APIK application for regular financial transaction recording, and 60% of participants reported improved access to financing due to more transparent financial documentation. The study demonstrated that digital financial tools, when combined with financial literacy training, can significantly enhance the financial management capabilities of SMEs, contributing to better decision-making, business growth, and financial sustainability. The study also identified areas for improvement, including the need for ongoing digital literacy training and follow-up support to ensure long-term adoption of digital tools.

Abstract

This community engagement program aimed to address the environmental problem of untreated liquid waste generated by household-scale tempeh production in Plaosan Village. Using a participatory action research approach, the program facilitated collaborative learning, hands-on fermentation training, and reflective planning with 35 tempeh-producing households. The intervention focused on transforming nutrient-rich soybean wastewater into a usable liquid organic fertilizer (LOF) using EM4 technology and local materials. The results indicated significant improvements in environmental knowledge, fermentation skills, and behavioral change: post-test knowledge scores increased by 44.5%, and 77% of participants reduced direct waste discharge. Moreover, three women emerged as peer educators, leading micro-replication efforts. This initiative demonstrated that dialogical, experiential learning can successfully promote sustainable waste management practices, empower local actors, and catalyze grassroots environmental stewardship.

Abstract

In the current era of globalization, access to information is becoming increasingly fast and easy, including in the field of accounting. MSMEs can now utilize Android devices for accounting record-keeping without the need for a computer. This community service aims to provide an understanding of Android-based accounting through online training via webinars, where participants can directly ask questions without the need to gather physically. An evaluation was conducted through a Q&A session at the end of the event. The results of the training showed that participants' paradigms were open, and their interest in registering businesses using smartphones increased. This training successfully raised their awareness about the importance of accounting record-keeping using mobile technology.

Abstract

This community service program was designed to enhance the teaching competence of elementary school teachers in Bangkalan Regency by introducing them to the use of Science City learning media. The training aimed to address the lack of innovation and creativity in classroom practices, equipping teachers with the skills to incorporate interactive media into their lessons. The results demonstrated that the training successfully improved the teachers' ability to use educational media, increased their creativity in lesson delivery, and boosted student motivation and engagement. The program also encouraged teachers to explore new teaching strategies, ensuring a more student-centered learning environment. Moving forward, the program's continuation is expected to foster further innovation in teaching, ultimately leading to improved student learning outcomes. This initiative highlights the importance of integrating media into the teaching process as a means of enhancing both teaching practices and educational quality.
