Abstract

Healthy food is food that contains substances needed by the body. Healthy foods contain balanced nutrition, which is food that is full of nutrients and is well consumed by the body. Media commonly used such as video media and posters, which are expected to help change student behavior. The design used in this study is quasi experiment with one pre-and post-village design. The results of the study obtained media health education through video and posters had a positive influence on knowledge (p = 0,000), attitude (p = 0.003), and actions (p = 0.002) of students in choosing healthy snacks. Students' knowledge before intervention is mostly in the good category and increases after being given health education through videos and posters. Media of health education through video and posters has a positive influence on the knowledge, attitudes and actions of students in choosing healthy snacks.

Abstract

Obesity is caused by several factors, one of them is the use of contraception in particular the use of hormonal contraceptives that its use can cause various side effects such as changes in body weight-acceptor. The research aims to determine the relation of hormonal contraception use with obesity in women of childbearing age (WUS) of public health insurance participants in the Lamongan clinic. This study is an Observational Analytics with cross-sectional. The total sample of 77 respondents. The respondents who use hormonal contraception are 49 respondents while the respondents who did not use contraception are 28 respondents. The respondents who use hormonal contraception and were obese are 22 respondents. Conclusion: The type of contraception most widely used by women of childbearing age is hormonal contraceptives and there is no relationship between the use of contraception with obesity in women of childbearing age at Lamongan clinic.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the blood glucose influence on cholesterol and blood pressure of patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. This research was correlative analytic study. The sample consisted of 24 respondents. Data analyzed using Spearman’s rho. Spearman's rho test results on blood glucose and cholesterol are a significance value of 0.001 and a correlation coefficient of 0.619. This can be interpreted that there is an influence between blood glucose and cholesterol with a strong relationship. Spearman's rho test results on blood glucose and blood pressure are a significance value of 0.000 and a correlation coefficient of 0.798. This can be interpreted that there is an influence between blood glucose and blood pressure with a strong relationship. The conclusion of this study is that there is an influence between blood glucose with cholesterol and blood pressure in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus

Abstract

The study revealed as many as 6 species from 3 families used in the preparation of betimun herb, Zingiberaceae was the family with the highest number of species (4 species). The used part of all plant species was leaves, while the acquisition source was from homegarden. The betimun herb was made by boiling the plants leaves. The usage way by confining the user with a sarong then the herb placed between his/her legs. Biological activities contained in the secondary metabolite compound composition of betimun herb were anti-fungal, anti-bacterial, antioxidant, aromatherapy, anti-oxidant, anti-glycation, sedative, anti-hypertensive, and astringent. This study proved that the betimun concoction has roles in eliminating body odor, fatigue, and aches; preventing and treating vaginal discharge; recovering the postpartum women's condition; slowing down the aging process, and accelerating the metabolic process. Betimun concoction potentially to be developed as a ready-use product such as phyto-simplicia.

Abstract

The World Health Organization (WHO) defines hypertension as a "silent killer" disease because the most of hypertension has not signs or symptoms. Nationally, Indonesia in 2016, the prevalence of hypertension is also higher in urban areas by 31.7% than in rural areas by 30.2%, the prevalence of hypertension is increasing with the increasing of ages. This study aims to analyze the factors that influence the incidence of hypertension and to determine the most influential factor at risk in the incidence of hypertension based on differences in the location of urban-rural respondents. The research design used in this study was observational analytics based on secondary data from the Indonesia Life Survey 5. The population study is the Indonesian community while the total sample as a whole amounted to 14,824. Conclusion: factors that influence the incidence of hypertension in urban and rural areas are BMI, age, education, marital status and smoking status.

Abstract

Postpartum is a risky period for complications, wherein almost 60% of maternal deaths occur after childbirth and 50% of maternal deaths occur in the first 24 hours after childbirth. Factors that cause complications during postpartum period are anemia, personal hygiene, fatigue and childbirth history, such as prolonged labor, PROM, or traumatic labor. This study aims to determine the correlation between postpartum traditions and the process of uterine involution. This was an observational descriptive study. This study site was conducted at Private Practice Midwife Domingas . The population in this study were all women in postpartum Days 3-10. The samples were chosen with Total Sampling Technique. Data were analyzed using Chi Square test. The results showed that 14 respondents (36,8%) respondents did not practice postpartum traditions. The result of data analysis obtained (ρ=0.744). It can be concluded that there was no correlation between Postpartum Traditions and Uterine Involution

Abstract

This study discusses the increase of drop out rate on contraceptives usage and its various underlying factors in the use of family planning in Central Sulawesi as one of many phenomena that occurs in the community. Logistic regression results of 2017 Indonesian Demographic and Health Survey on contraceptives usage data showed that injection had the highest drop out rate (31.9%), followed by Pills (11.9%), coitus interruptus (4%), and implant (2.4%). Some contraceptives methods that had below 2% drop out rate are periodic abstinence (1.8%), male condoms (1.3%), IUD (1%), LAM method (0.5%) and other traditional methods (0.3%). The high drop out rate of contraceptive usage will affect the continuity of the Family Planning program.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out the knowledge of the Health Corps Volunteer Team of the Indonesian Education University about basic life support. Research design with the quantitative descriptive approach, sampling with a total sampling of 60 respondents. Results showed the respondents' knowledge into 2 categories: 46 participants (76.67%), enough 14 participants (23.33%) while there were no respondents. Knowledge is influenced by several factors; some are based on gender, age and the faculty of study. Knowledge of important basic living rocks is given to students in addition to health. Suggestions for increasing knowledge and training on basic life support with the aim of numbers helps to reduce mortality

Abstract

Nursing documentation is written evidence of the implementation of nursing care, but in some hospitals documenting nursing care is still problem and far from the Indonesian Ministry of Health, Which is 80%. This study aimed to determine the factors associated with Nursing documentation of inpatient care at the Ibnu Sina Islamic Hospital Pekanbaru. The design of this study was observational cross sectional. A sample of 82 nurses used a proportional random sampling technique.The results showed that there individual factors 72 % were early adult nurses, 51,2 % were old nurse with long time, 95,1% were high educational level. Organization factors showed that there 70,7 % were head nurse good category, 75,5% were employee available category, 52, 4% were nursing care good category.There were significant differences of length of work and level of education with documentation of nursing care.

Abstract

Living at boarding school environment requires to approach the environment well. Because of the demands or burdens of some complain of dizziness, fear of not being able to memorize according to the target, unable to concentrate which is a sign and symptom of stressfull. Research aim to find out the relationship between life style management of mental health and stress levels. Study uses Cross Sectional Design, the sample was 153 students taken by simple random sampling. The independent variable was mental health life style management, the dependent variable was the level of stress. The instrument uses a questionnaire. Data analysis with the Spearman's Rho. Results showed p = 0,000, which means there was a relationship between life style management of mental health with stress levels. Life style management it needs to be applied in Islamic boarding schools in order to increase their productivity and stay mentally healthy.
