Abstract

Preschoolers with a poor parenting style allow the possible child’s development problems to occur in the future. This study aimed at knowing the significant difference between parenting styles of parents and grandmothers’ parenting styles to preschoolers’ development at Kindergartens in Cukanggalih village. This study used a cross-sectional design. Purposive sampling technique was used with a total sample of 30 people. The instrument used in this study was a development pre-screening questionnaire (KPSP). The processing of statistical data analysis was done using an independent t-test. The finding showed that there was a significant difference between the parenting styles of parents and the grandmothers’ parenting styles against the child’s motor development. The parenting style of parents is more suitable for a child’s motor development than the grandmothers’ parenting style

Abstract

A total of 538 people were respondents in this study. The median knowledge of respondents was 37 and 71% of respondents had good knowledge. Respondents came from Nursing, Midwifery and Nursing Professional Education study programs. As many as 61.3% of students work as health workers. The respondent's province of residence consists of 19 provinces in Indonesia. Respondents aged <20 years to> 40 years, most 45.7% aged 20-25 years. The three most common sources of information COVID-19 are the internet 37%, television 25.3% and superiors and colleagues at work 19.7%. Cumulative Achievement Index (IPK) between 3.0 - 3.5 is the most IPK of respondents (59.7%). Median knowledge scores 37 and 71% of respondents have good knowledge. There was a significant relationship (p <0.05) between COVID-19 knowledge and the student's employment status, study program and health science student age.

Abstract

Performance appraisal is problematic if it does not describe competence. Design of the research was explorative descriptive research with a research and development approach. The sample was 110 nurses obtained by cluster sampling based on inclusion criteria. Data were then analyzed using descriptive analysis. Development of instruments based on Focus Group Discussion and expert discussion. The result show evaluation of components in the nurse performance appraisal system when viewed according to its indicators, most are rated in the sufficient category. Assessment criteria and performance records get enough categories in the highest percentage of 76.4%, evaluation of the standard components of work behavior assessment is mostly not done with percentages above 20%, performance appraisal instruments do not describe the performance of nurses and do not conform to standards.

Abstract

Every process of industrial activity generates potential waste as air pollutants. Air pollution needs to be analyzed to estimate the magnitude of the risk posed. The purpose of this study was to investigate environmental health risks in exposure to SO2, NO2, NH3, and dust gases for workers in Surabaya, Gresik, and Sidoarjo. The method of this research is by collecting secondary data was obtained from BBTKLPP Surabaya. The secondary data collected was calculated using the Environmental Health Risk Analysis (ARKL) method by finding the concentration value, the amount of intake, and the characteristics of the maximum and minimum health risks of each chemical agent in the air parameters in the work environment. The research results show that the concentrations of exposure to SO2, NO2, NH3, and dust in the safe category at the industrial centers of Surabaya, Gresik, and Sidoarjo for workers.

Abstract

Acute respiratory infection (ARI) is a health problem that causes morbidity and mortality in Indonesia. This infectious disease most often affects infants and toddlers . Massage therapy that aims to relax and overcome various health problems in infants and toddlers. Massage therapy is the initial treatment of minor ailments such as coughs, colds, and lack of appetite. This literature review aims to analyze the benefits of massage therapy in ISPA infants. The research method used by the author is a literature review using a database through Pubmed, Science Direct, Ebsco, and Google Scholar from 2009 to 2019 This article discusses massage therapy in ARI infants with upper respiratory infections and lower respiratory tract infections. Literature search results show that massage therapy provides recovery benefits for ARI symptoms such as overcoming fever, overcoming sleep difficulties, improving the immune system, improving the work of the respiratory system, blood circulation, increasing concentration etc.

Abstract

This research is a type of qualitative research using a descriptive phenomenological approach. This research aims to determine the impact of the fire disaster of the Tamangapa garbage dumpsite, Makassar. The results of the analysis showed that the health impacts that people felt were coughing, shortness of breath, dizziness, headaches and sore eyes. The environmental impact felt by the community is the presence of smoke, smog and foul odors. The social impact felt by the community is reduced income and schools are closed. Fire disasters for landfills have resulted in environmental damage which also has an impact on health and social issues, especially for people who live ≤ 500 meters from the landfill, experiencing the heaviest impact

Abstract

This research was Quasy Experiment with a pre-test-post-test with control group design. Sample this research was 30 pregnant women, that were divided into 2 groups : the intervention group who were given beet with Fe supplementation (n = 15) and the control group was given Fe tablets (n = 15). Supplementation of beetroot to a pregnant women with anemia who were recieived Fe supplementation could increase hemoglobin levels (p = 0,000), hematocrit levels (p = 0,000), number of erythrocytes (p = 0.001), so there were significant differences in mean delta hemoglobin levels, hematocrit, and erythrocyte counts. There were differences in hemoglobin and erythrocyte levels in the intervention and control groups before and after treatment. Supplementation of 8 gram beetroot powder for 14 days to pregnant mother with anemia who were receive Fe tablets could increase hemoglobin and hematocrit levels, and number of erythrocytes

Abstract

Hypertension is the most medical problem encountered in pregnancy to postpartum period and remains one of the most causes of maternal death. High nitrate content of beetroot as well as potassium and flavonoids of celery may lower blood pressure. This study investigate the effectiveness of beetroot extracts on reducing blood pressure postpartum mothers with hypertension. The study was a Quasy-experimental control group pre-posttest design. A total sample of 30 postpartum mothers with hypertention was enrolled in the study and randomly assigned in 2 groups. The consumption of beetroot extract decreased systolic BP 27,40 and diastolic 13,47. Meanwhile in CG, BP was reduced by 8,40 for systolic and 10,53 for diastolic. There was a difference in mean decrease systolic BP between the intervention and control group (p<0.05), there was no differences in mean diastolic BP (p>0.05). Beetroot extract effective reducing blood pressure postpartum mother with hypertension without worrying about side effects.

Abstract

The cause of postpartum anxiety is still unknown. Many adverse developmental effects after anxiety can be caused to the mother, baby, and her family. The research aims to analyze factors related to postpartum anxiety level at Citra Insani Maternity Home, Semarang. This study used an analytic observational research design with a cross sectional approach. Sampling was conducted at the Citra Insani Maternity Hospital in Semarang City from February to March 2020 using purposive sampling. The study subjects are 40 postpartum mothers in the second day. The instrument used was a Postpartum Specific Anxiety Scale questionnaire. The factors studied were age, parity, education, employment status, and history of anemia. Data analysis was performed using the Chi-square test. The results is the majority of mothers experienced moderate anxiety (60%). Based on data analysis, there is no significant relationship between age, parity, education, employment status and history of anemia with postpartum anxiety levels

Abstract

The understanding of positive gender equality in society has many benefits in life, especially in reducing cases of gender injustices, household problems and improving maternal health, especially in pregnancy. Husbands should be willing to spend some time to take care of employees work in addition to earning a living. Support husband in participating in the role of domestic important in preventing complications during pregnancy until after childbirth. The purpose of this research is to analyze factors that are influenced by the role of domestic husband. The research method used is quantitative with Cross sectional design. Data is obtained by conducting interviews on husbands who accompany expectant pregnancy with a questionnaire guide. The factor affecting husband's participation in household work is knowledge and desolation about gender. Education to the public about gender equality is seen from a much needed role to reduce incomprehension and misrepresentation of society on Gender Equality
