Abstract

There are various kinds of complications in the delivery process, one of which is the birth canal, namely perineal rupture. One of the ways to reduce perineal rupture is by performing perineal massage to improve health, blood flow, and perineal elasticity. This research was performed to examine the effect of perineal massage on perineal rupture among mother with primipara childbirth in Kasih Ibu clinic 2020. A quasi-experiment was used to conduct the current research by using post-test with control group design was conducted. There were 15 in the intervention group and 15 others in the control group. A total sampling was used. The independent t – test was used to identify the mean differences between groups. Results obtained that there was a significant effect of perineal massage on perineal rupture among mother with primipara labor in kasih ibu clinic 2020 with p-value = 0.009 (p-value < α = 0.05)

Abstract

This research was carried out through a quasi-experimental study involing two groups, in which pre-test and post-test design were used. Results revealed that the mean value of labor pain during the first stage of active phase before warm water compresses was given was 8.40 with a standard deviation of 0.632 and after giving warm water compress, the mean value of labor pain was 4.40 with a standard deviation of 2.131. Whereas, in the back massage, the mean labor pain scale before back massage was given was 8.33 with a standard deviation of 0.979 and after giving back massage the average labor pain became 3.73 with a standard deviation of 1.981. It can be summed up that there was an effect of giving warm water compress and back massage on labor pain during the active phase, but neither method was superior in reducing labor pain seen from p value 0.382> 0.05.

The sampling technique used was total sampling, namely 37 postpartum mothers on day 1 and day 2. Data collection was done using a questionnaire that contained 14 questions. Based on the results of the validity test, it was obtained a value of rcount > 0.6139. This means that 14 questions in the questionnaire were declared valid. Data were then analyzed using univariate and bivariate analysis with the chi-square test to determine the correlation between COVID-19 pandemic anxiety and breast milk production in postpartum mothers at Bidan Praktek Mandiri (Independent Practice Midwife) Ucu M, in East Jakarta in 2021. The results show that there is a correlation between COVID-19 pandemic anxiety and breast milk production in postpartum mothers at Bidan Praktek Mandiri Ucu M, in East Jakarta in 2021.

Abstract

This pre-experimental research design used a one-group pre-test-post-test design. Using the purposive sampling technique, the sample in this study was 58 respondents who are residents of Sukakarya Village, Megamendung District, Bogor. The data were analyzed using the paired sample t-test which was previously tested for normality. Univariate analysis of adolescents' knowledge on the prevention of COVID-19 through audiovisuals obtained an average value of 25.57 and an average post-test score of 30.83. Meanwhile, the bivariate analysis showed the effects of providing education on COVID-19 prevention by using audiovisuals on adolescents' knowledge with a significance value of 0.000. Audiovisual media affect adolescents' knowledge on COVID-19 prevention. It is hoped that adolescents can increase their COVID-19 prevention knowledge by using video media so that they can change their behavior in efforts to prevent COVID-19 transmission

Abstract

The current research was conducted through a quasi-experimental research using two group pretest-posttest design. Furthermore, data analysis was done by using dependent t-test and independent t-test. As many as 30 pregnant mother suffering from anemia were involved and divided into two groups. The first group consumed tomatoes juice, while the second group consumed spinach juice every day for 14 days. All mothers also consumed Fe tablet every day according to the regulation. This research was carried out in Tangerang District on January 2021. These research results revealed that there was significant differences on the hemoglobin level before and after tomatoes juice and spinach juice consumption on the experimental groups. Significant differences on hemoglobin level were also found between the effectiveness of tomatoes juice and spinach juice on trimester pregnant mothers suffering from anemia (p value 0.037).

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of dates consumption on increased hemoglobin levels in third trimester pregnant women at BPM “E”, Serang. This study used quasi experimental method with non-equivalent control group using a control group and experimental group. Data were collected using observation sheets of increased hemoglobin levels for 14 days. Univariate analysis showed that mean increase in hemoglobin levels in pregnant women who consumed Fe tablets was 0.3 g / dL and those who consumed dates was 1.8 g / dL. In the bivariate analysis using the paired t-test, P value of the experimental group was 0.000 (P <0.05) and independent t-test obtained P value of 0.03 (P <0.05) which can be concluded that there was an effect of dates consumption on increased hemoglobin levels in third trimester pregnant women. It is expected that pregnant women can use natural methods by consuming dates to increase hemoglobin levels

Abstract

The research design used a Quasi-Experimental with two group pretest posttest designs. The instrument used was the FLACC scale to assess the condition of the infants before and after compressing and immunization, in which cold compress carried out 10 minutes before the immunization, while warm compress were carried out 15 minutes before immunization. The data distribution was tested using the Shapiro-Wilk test, Wilcoxon test and Mann Whitney test. The Wilcoxon test results showed that both of them have an effect on pain by getting the sig value. of 0.001 ≤ 0.05. Based on Whitney's mann test analysis, the mean difference of before and after the warm compress was 23, while before and after the cold compress was 8. The comparison of the effectiveness of warm compress and cold compress in pain management had a p-value of 0.000 indicating that there was an influence in pain management.
