Abstract

The objective of this research is to investigate the effects of FDI on Myanmar’s development especially on manufacturing, service and infrastructure industries. The study adopts an explanatory quantitative research approach using Sectional data collected from reliable sources such as world bank and Directorate of Investment and Company Administration (DICA). The research methodology involves using regression analysis to assess the impact of FDI on the GDP growth, Pearson’s correlation analysis to measure the FDI’s correlation with employment and technology transfer as well as the use of Analysis of variance (ANOVA), whereby the economic performance sectors with FDI is compared to that of sectors without FDI. Estimations presented here show that FDI has positive effects on Myanmar’s economic growth, rising from 3%. 42% to 6. 85% post-FDI. New employment rates were also documented to have increased from 68. 2% to 73. 4%. Furthermore, the technology transfer also expanded significantly pointing to FDI as a means to build up Myanmar’s technological endowment. In light of the findings of the study, it is therefore argued that FDI has positively enhanced economic development but there is the need to redouble efforts in trying to address some of the key issues that FDI faces in the country like bureaucratic procedures and regulations.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effects of trade wars on global supply chains and economic growth, focusing on the economic and business disruptions caused by escalating tariffs and protectionist policies. Using quantitative data from official sources such as the World Bank, IMF, and WTO, the study examines key metrics including trade volumes, GDP growth, tariff rates, and supply chain performance between 2016 and 2020. Methods such as descriptive statistics, difference-in-differences analysis, regression analysis, time series analysis, were employed to assess the impacts of the trade wars, particularly between major economies such as the United States and China. The results show a significant decline in trade volumes and GDP growth during the peak years of the trade wars, with both countries experiencing severe supply chain disruptions, evidenced by increased lead times and rising production costs. The findings underscore the negative economic consequences of protectionist measures, which extend beyond the countries directly involved, affecting global trade relations and supply chain resilience. The study concludes by highlighting the need for policymakers and businesses to address trade tensions through international cooperation, enhanced supply chain strategies, and sustainable economic development policies.

Abstract

This research aims to first assess FinTech’s effect on the worldwide banking industry, specifically in terms of adoption, efficiency, and customer satisfaction, of key applications. In this context, a quantitative, cross-sectional survey was completed with 478 respondents, comprising banking professional and FinTech users from North America, Europe, Asia, Africa, and Latin America. The study measured the impact of digital payments, online lending, blockchain solutions and robot advisors on customer conversion rates and quantum fund. The study shows that FinTech applications have a positive impact on banking productivity and customer satisfaction levels, especially in the developed countries because of sound legal environment and technologies. Thus, for Africa and Latin America, which have a relatively low level of FinTech development, the following problems are relevant: accessibility and security. These challenges can be effectively captured by t-tests, ANOVA, and multiple regression, the study suggests the requirement for a regional approach to improving the function of FinTech in global banking. Consequently, this study adds more comprehensive and comparative view to the existing literature on the impact of FinTech on the global banking systems and underscores the need for regulatory changes in promoting sustainable FinTech growth. In conclusion, this research makes important contribution to the literature regarding the role of FinTech for improving the inclusiveness and effectiveness of the global financial ecosystem.
