Abstract

Integrated thematic learning is integrated learning using themes that link several subjects so that learning provides meaningful experiences for students. In fact, learning outcomes in primary schools are not as expected. In connection with this problem, it is necessary to solve the problem to overcome it, one way to overcome this problem requires an appropriate learning model so that learning outcomes are optimal so that the results obtained by students can be satisfactory. One of the best models to solve this problem is the Discovery Lerning model. This study aims to provide benefits to readers in adding insight and knowledge about the application of the Discovery Learning model in the integrated thematic learning process. The type of research carried out is literature research. Based on the literature study research that researchers have done, it can be concluded that application of the Discovery learning model can provide an increase in student learning outcomes. It can be seen that learning using the Discovery Learning model, learning using the Discovery Learning model increases understanding for students so that learning outcomes in primary schools increase

Abstract

This type of research is classroom action research (PTK) using qualitative and quantitative approaches. Held in two cycles, the first cycle consisted of 2 meetings, and the second cycle consisted of 1 meeting. The subjects of the study were 26 fourth grade students of SDN 21 Taluak, Banuhampu Subdistrict. The results showed an increase. The study was conducted in two cycles. The results of the first cycle study on lesson plans averaged 81,25% (B), increasing in the second cycle to 96,8% (SB). The implementation of the first cycle on teacher activities averaged 87,5% (B), increasing in the second cycle to 96,4% (SB). The implementation of the first cycle on student activities averaged 87,5% (B), increasing in the second cycle to 96,42% (SB). Student learning outcomes in the first cycle averaged80,6% (B), increasing in the second cycle to 88,2% (SB) Thus, it can be concluded that the Problem Based Learning model can improve student learning outcomes in integrated thematic learning in elementary schools.

Abstract

The purpose of the research is to describe the implementation and improvement of integrated thematic learning outcomes using the Cooperative type Think Pair Share (TPS) model in grade IV of SDN 24 Talamau Kabupaten Pasaman Barat.. This type of research is classroom action research and uses qualitative and quantitative approaches. This research was conducted on class IV SDN 24 Talamau Kabupaten Pasaman Barat.totaling 10 people consisting of 4 male students and 6 female students. In term of lesson plans, the score increased from 81,8% in cycle I to 95% in cycle II. In term of teacher’s aspect, the score enhanced from 77,5% in cycle I to 95% in cycle II. Meanwhile, in term of the student’s aspect, the score increased from 77,5% in cycle I to 95% in cycle II. The student’s learning outcomes reached a percentage of completeness 60% with an average value of 79 increased in the second cycle percentage of completeness 90% with an average achievement of 90,3.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model in integrated thematic learning in elementary schools. The model that has been widely adopted to support the learning centered learning model and emphasizes the involvement of students in the active learning process as in the integrated thematic learning process is the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model. In integrated thematic learning students are directed at student-centered learning, students are actively searching, group-based learning, and using real-world problems as a context for students to learn about critical thinking and problem solving skills. This is in line with the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model. In this study researchers used a literature study (library research). First the researchers formulated the research problem, then proceeded to search for electronic journals via google schoolar. From the search, 15 relevant journals were analyzed for their role in integrated thematic learning using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model. The keywords used for journal research are Problem Based Learning, learning outcomes, elementary school. The analysis turned out to show that the Problem Based Learning model was able to improve student learning outcomes starting from the lowest 28% to the highest 93% with an average of 58%.
