Abstract

Taufik Abdullah's statement regarding the weakness of the pedagogical strategy of Indonesian history can still be found today. However, the Merdeka curriculum provides a glimmer of hope for history teachers in creating more interesting and meaningful history learning. This novelty can be used to insert local-based knowledge into students. For history teachers, this can be done by integrating local history into learning materials. Integration of local history can be a way out of the problem of weak history education strategies at the school level. This article aims to analyze the effectiveness of using YouTube as a medium in integrating local history into history subjects to improve students' critical thinking skills. The method used is the Kemmis and McTaggart model of classroom action research carried out in two cycles. Furthermore, this study uses a qualitative approach with data collection techniques in the form of observation and written tests. The results of this study indicate that the use of YouTube as a learning medium equipped with the integration of local history can improve students' critical thinking skills. This can be seen from the increase in the quality of analysis, understanding of the material, discussions, and answers given when the test is given. The success of this research is also inseparable from the influence of several factors such as (1) the relevance between the discussion theme and the background of the students; (2) the needs of the students; (3) the availability of learning materials; and (4) the use of digital media as part of learning activities.

Abstract

This research compares the implementation of e-procurement in Indonesia and Australia using a qualitative literature study method. Despite similar processes, there are differences in approach, system features, data security, transparency and accountability. Indonesia uses the SPSE one-stop system, while Australia uses a decentralized approach through AusTender. Both countries face challenges in e- procurement adoption such as change resistance, technological infrastructure, and complex system integration. Support programs and user training are key to effective implementation. Efforts to increase transparency and accountability continue despite concerns about limited information and lack of standardization of reporting. This research highlights best practices, challenges and collaboration potential for further e-procurement development.

Abstract

Abstrak ditulis dalam bahasa Inggris, berisi uraian secara singkat pendahuluan, tujuan penelitian, metode, hasil dan kesimpulan. Abstrak ditulis dalam format satu kolom. 200-250 kata. Rata kiri kanan (justify The purpose of this study is to analyze and compare the recruitment process of the State Civil Apparatus (ASN) in Malaysia and Indonesia. Both countries have comprehensive ASN recruitment systems, but there are differences in terms of the mechanisms, selection criteria, and regulations followed. In Malaysia, the recruitment process is overseen by the Public Service Commission (PSC), which ensures that candidates are selected on merit through administrative selection procedures, written exams, interviews, and entry-level courses. However, in Indonesia, the National Civil Service Agency (BKN) oversees the recruitment process, which includes administrative selection, basic competency test (TKD), special competency test (TKB), and work experience, with guidelines set by the Minister of Administrative Reform and Bureaucratic Reform Regulation (PermenPAN-RB).The study findings show that although both countries have merit-based selection criteria, Malaysia places more emphasis on work performance and educational qualifications, while Indonesia places more emphasis on CPNS test results. Both countries also face challenges such as corruption, nepotism, and administrative control; however, Malaysia's governance mechanism has become more organized and efficient. On the other hand, administrative procedures in Indonesia are often slow, reducing recruitment efficiency.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of Design Thinking in the UI and UX design model of an elementary school academic system, and evaluates its quality through usability testing based on ISO 9241-11. Design Thinking is a user-centered approach that aims to understand the needs and challenges faced by users such as students, teachers, and parents. The process involves five stages: empathize, define, ideate, prototype, and test. The resulting prototype was tested using usability testing, with ISO 9241-11 as a reference to measure effectiveness, efficiency, and user satisfaction. The findings indicate that Design Thinking can produce UI/UX designs that are more intuitive and responsive to user needs. Evaluation based on ISO 9241-11 demonstrates that the designed system meets the expected quality standards, with high scores in effectiveness, efficiency, and user satisfaction. Consequently, this study concludes that when appropriately implemented and tested against ISO 9241-11, Design Thinking can significantly enhance the quality of UI/UX design in elementary school academic systems.
