Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to describe the education and learning challenges based on information technology in the Industrial Revolution 4.0 Era and Indonesia's readiness to answer the challenges of education in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0 in building an information technology-based learning system. In Indonesia, readiness to face the challenges of education in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0 is to immediately improve the capabilities and skills of human resources through education by producing reliable operators and analysts in the field of education management as a driver for advancing information technology-based education in Indonesia to answer the challenges of Industry 4.0 which continues to advance rapidly. Education management policies in Indonesia currently encourage all levels of education, especially higher education to take advantage of advances in digital technology and educational computing in the era of the fourth industrial revolution. Some solutions that can be done include the suitability of curricula and policies in education, the readiness of human resources in utilizing ICT, optimizing the abilities of students, and developing the character of students, and the readiness of digital-based learning facilities and infrastructure.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the variables that influence employee turnover intention in Batam City. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of job stress and job satisfaction toward employee turnover intention partially and simultaneously. Total of Samples are 96 respondents which were taken by using purposive sampling method and then the data was analyzed by SPSS Program. Methodology in this research is descriptive with a quantitative approach. This study shows that job stress partially has positive and significant effect on employee turnover intention with t value 3.532 and significant value 0,001. Job satisfaction partially has negative and significant effect on employee turnover intention with t value -2.509 and significant value 0,014. Simultaneously, this Research shows that job stress and job satisfaction have positive and significant effect on employee turnover intention with t value 13.213 and significant value 0,000.

Abstract

PT Indoritel Makmur Internasional Tbk or better known as Indomaret is one of the companies engaged in retail in which this company every day must meet the needs of consumers. Consumers tend to pay attention to prices on label and product layout. At the price tag, the promo price and promo period are shown. However, when the promo period is still ongoing, the desired product kosumen is empty. In addition, the laying of the product on the shelf is not in accordance with the habits of consumers when buying the product simultaneously in one time. This causes disappointment to consumers who can not meet their needs. Therefore the company should look at the purchase patterns made by consumers. To know the product purchased simultaneously, use association rule (data association rule) that is Data Mining technique to find association rule of a combination of items. The association search process uses the apriori algorithm method which can generate the knowledge contained in the customer's transaction data, regarding the purchase pattern by the consumer. Based on the calculation of apriori algorithm that meets the minimum value of confidence and tested with Tanagra software, the highest Indomaret rule store that appears on Instant Oil and Noodle products with Support value 43.3% and confidence 92.8%, this is the same as manual calculation a priori algorithm. Then can be arranged product layout adjacent to facilitate the existence of the product and make it easier in determining inventory of product promo desired by consumer and can be used as decision Support manager in managing company activity.

Abstract

This study aims to determine how the influence of business scale, business income and business experience on the use of accounting information for MSME actors in the city of Batam. This type of research is quantitative research and uses primary data in the form of a questionnaire distributed by google form. The population in this study were all MSME actors who registered their business at the Batam City Cooperative and UMKM office. The sampling technique used simple random sampling and used the Slovin formula in order to obtain a sample of 94 MSMEs. Data analysis techniques used instrument tests (validity and reliability), descriptive analysis, classical assumptions consisting of normality, heteroscedasticity and multicollinearity tests, multiple linear regression, partial test, simultaneous test and coefficient of determination test. Based on the results of data processing using the SPSS program, the following research results were obtained: Partially, business scale and business income have a positive and significant effect on the use of accounting information. Meanwhile, business experience partially does not have a significant effect on the use of accounting information. Simultaneously, business scale, business income and business experience have a significant effect on the use of accounting information for MSMEs in Batam. Based on the coefficient of determination, the Adjusted R Square figure is 0.428, indicating that business scale, business income and business experience have an effect of 42.8% and the rest is influenced by other variables outside of this study.

Abstract

Batam City is now starting to turn into a tourism city. However, Batam tourism has not been equipped with a souvenir sales center to introduce Batam city characteristics. The aims of this research is to evaluate the important of availability the souvenir centre for Batam City Tourism. The method used is the descriptive-quanititative model from the data that has been collected. The data collected by voice of curtomer method to find the gap of the needed of souvenir centre for the tourist. Based on the research results will find that the location of souvenir centre is important to support Batam Tourism. This is because souvenirs are part of the process of introducing the culture of an area to tourists. Therefore, the Batam city government needs to pay attention to the needs of tourists who travel to Batam City by providing a souvenir center in the tourist center of Batam City.

Abstract

Consumer satisfaction is a very important measure for the sustainability of a business. One example is the business in the food sector. This business requires active consumers because it is related to consumer taste and satisfaction. Bakso Akbar as a business in the food sector certainly has many competitors. For the sustainability of this business, it is necessary to review what things make consumers satisfied and dissatisfied. One way is to analyze customer satisfaction with Service variables with Good or Not Good, Speed, Location Access with Easy or Difficult options, Cleanliness with Clean or Not options, Taste with Good, Not bad or Not good choices and the last one is Price with Expensive or Cheap stuffing. These variables will be filled in by consumers from the distributed questionnaires, which will then be recorded and processed using Data Mining. The C4.5 algorithm is considered to be one of the Data Mining algorithms that is able to give good results because it produces decision tree rules. The results showed that the Rasa variable got the first highest gain with a value of 0.3659. Subsequent calculations obtained the Cleanliness variable with a value of Gain 1. The resulting rule is 4, 2 rules resulting in a decision of Satisfaction with the condition if the taste is good, the consumer is satisfied and if the taste is good and the cleanliness is clean then the consumer is satisfied. The purpose of this analysis is so that the Bakso Akbar business can retain its customers and fix any shortcomings based on consumer assessments.

Abstract

The development of information technology is currently growing rapidly, moreover the formation of The purpose of this study is to find answers to determine the effectiveness of parking tax and the contribution of parking tax to local revenue, where in the era of regional autonomy, local governments are required to always increase their regional revenues, such as increasing local tax revenues through billboard tax revenues. Tax revenue through advertising billboards in the city of Batam provides an undeniable contribution to regional revenue. However, in practice it has not yet come close to its true potential, besides that the preparation of this tax target is only based on previous years' experience. The length of this research was conducted from April to July 2016. The object of this research is Batam City Dispenda. The sampling technique used is non-probability sampling, namely the sampling technique using certain considerations or purposive sampling using financial reports from 2015 to 2019. The results of hypothesis testing using the multiple regression analysis method show that simultaneously the effectiveness of parking tax and the contribution of parking tax has a significant effect on local revenue. While partially the effectiveness of parking tax has a significant relationship to local revenue, however, the contribution of parking tax has a significant effect on local revenue at the Batam City Dispenda.

Abstract

Information technology that can be used in this recruitment process is the recruitment of employees for web-based companies, smartphones and so on. e-Recruitment is a system that assists in the recruitment process of employees when selecting employees for recruitment at companies or at certain agencies. With an integrated employee recruitment system it will also make it easier for admins to control applicants who meet criteria and those who do not meet the criteria. Information technology-based e-recruitment can also be implemented for small companies to large companies. A website is a collection of pages that contain information stored on the internet that can be accessed or viewed via the internet network on devices that can access the internet itself such as computers. MySQL is one type of database server that is very popular, this is because MySQL uses SQL as the base language for accessing its database. MySQL is Open Source, this software is equipped with source code (code used to create MySQL), its executable form or code that can be run directly in the operating system UML (Unified Modeling Language) is a language for specification, visualization, building and documentation of an OO (Object-Oriented) based software system.

Abstract

Credit is a facility provided by the owner of the fund to the party that needs the funds with the provision stipulated in the credit agreement, including interest rates. Interest rates are used as a benefit to the lender because it has lent funds to debtors. This research aims to look at the effect of credit rates on credit-making decisions on financing companies in Batam. The object of this research is the financing company that exists in the city of Batam. The respondents in this study were customers who borrowed from financing companies. The determined customer who applied for credit as a respondent is due to the purpose of this study to see the decision of credit making. The number of respondents in this study was 96 respondents. Data is obtained by disseminating questionnaires to respondents. Data that has been obtained, tabulated and analyzed using the SPSS program. The data analysis used in this study is data quality test, normality test, heteroskedastisity test, determination coefficient analysis, partial hypothesis test. From the results of the study, it was obtained that the interest rate of credit was significant to the decision-making of the credit, the correlation value in this study was 65.5% which means that the loan interest rate is able to explain the decision of the credit making at 65.5%, while the remaining 34.5% is explained by other variables that were not included in this study.

Abstract

The Covid 19 pandemic has spread throughout the world, including Indonesia. The effects of the pandemic caused the national economy to decline by minus 5.23%. In Batam City, the Covid 19 Pandemic caused many small, medium and large businesses to go out of business. The direct effect of the pandemic on the lower middle class is the financial turmoil of the family. There was a decrease in income and expenditure as well as a change in the clustering of expenditure items. Internet quota has become a mandatory expense for education. The initial objective of this study was to obtain facts, the current condition of society. The research object is the middle to lower class of society. This research is a descriptive qualitative research. Collecting data in research using the method of observation and questionnaires. Observation through limited interviews, by observing and visiting and discussing directly with the community. People also fill out an online questionnaire via a google form link, to reduce physical contact. The sample size was determined by accidential sampling method. The results showed that 80% of respondents experienced a decrease in the number of stages during the COVID 19 pandemic. Meanwhile, respondents have a job from home (WFH), have courageous schooling, are in the trend of family spending on food, electricity bills, water bills, and education quota costs. The final objective of this research is expected to be additional material for the Batam City government in economic policies that can help the life and welfare of the community.
