Abstract

Helical gears are a type of gear with a slanted tooth direction (not perpendicular to the face of the gear). The inclination or helix angle of the teeth on these gears is about 15-30 degrees. Computer-aided design & computer-aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM) software is used to design and manufacture prototypes, finished products, and product production processes. CAD/CAM applications are used to design products and program manufacturing processes, in particular, CNC machining. The purpose of this research is to discuss the process of making Helix Gears in Mastercam for 4-Axis Vmc-550L Cnc Machine, the implementation method starts from observation, problem formulation, library research, data collection, engineering drawings (CAD) design, CAM creation, simulation in applications, the final result of the helix gear the process takes 4 hours 9 minutes

Abstract

Soybean is one type of multipurpose beans because it can be used as raw material formaking food. Nowdays, tofu entrepreneurs especially the scale of SMEs (Small andMedium Enterprises) in Indonesia still using soy grind tool so that the results of soybean mill is insufficient.The grinder of SMEs Tahu Marina where the grinding machine used has a soy container that does not fit the needs of the next process so it requires 2 times the grinding process. To overcome these problems, the authors developed a container soy grinder machine driven by an electric motor. The purpose of this research is to design the container of soy grinder machine in accordance with the needs of the know-making process in SMEs know marina. The result of this research is the design of soybean machine container with capacity 64,5 kg / hour, with height of tube of 52 cm soybean, which is refuted with skeleton which have height 60 cm, length 120 cm, width 60 cm, using electric motor with 3 HP. The capacity of the grinding machine container designed by this author is in accordance with the capacity of the soybean soybean machine container required by SMEs Tahu Marina

Abstract

Loading and unloading are the processes which are perform at before and afterwelding process. On this processes, there is a fixture-lifting activity from assembly table move to the Welding machine. The lifting activity as well is perform at after welding process; to uninstall the fixture from the machine then move it to assembly table. This process is performed by 2 persons, because the fixture is quiet heavy, 50 Kg with 40 Inches in diameter and 2.5 inches in the thickness. However, the distance from assembly table to the welding machine is 300 cm. Approximately By this condition, based on The Rapid Entire Body Assesment (REBA) Analysis is resulted Final Score 9 and categorized as a High Risk Level Process. As well based on the scoring of Nordic Body Map (NBM) shows result that there is a high potential pain on the nape, shoulders, arms, back, waist and calves, hence than this activity is consider as Not Ergonomic Process for the worker. Based on the condition as describe above, survey been conducted with Quality Function Deployment (QFD) approach, which concluded that the loading and unloading process is need a lifting tool or equipment to lift up and move the welding fixture. For this purposes to eliminate this difficulty, proposed to have a Lifting Equipment Design could be a trolley or a lifter.

Abstract

Utilization of renewable energy is very important to support for development in everyMicro Small Medium Enterprises. MSMEs Tahu Marina is one of the tofu-makingbusiness in batam since 2006 which has entered market share like some hotels, hospitals and traditional markets. This study aims to apply biogas from tofu pulp as a substitute for firewood which became one of the problems in MSMEs Tahu Marina. Strategic planning using Strength, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats (SWOT) methods to determine biogas implementation strategy. The results of the research can be a reference of the strategy of MSMEs Tahu Marina. From the results strategic planning of SWOT application of biogas in MSMEs Tahu Marina is in quadrant 1 (SO) with coordinate SW = 1.00 and OT = 1.02. in quadrant I is a favorable position, the application of biogas to MSMEs Tahu Marina has the power that can be used to exploit the opportunities that exist. The strategy undertaken is to develop new product to minimize non-permanent costs (firewood), utilize the waste as biogas feedstock build enough installations to meet the needs of steam combustion.

Abstract

PT. Ecogreen Oleochemicals is a company engaged in the field of oleochemicals. The problem faced by the company is related to the products produced by the company, which in reality is always there is a difference with the standard specifications that have been established and damaged that tend to be high. The purpose of this study to analyze the factors causing and types of product damage that occur the better the quality of raw materials used, the better the quality of fatty alcohol produced. The method used in this study using statistical tools contained in Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Statistical Quality Control (SQC) and Fishbone diagram to determine the causal factors. Collecting data by collecting reports relating to production activities in the field. Based on the pareto chart that has been made obtained the highest level of damage is the type of damage due to tearing to the amount of damage 968 bag, then the second highest is the type of damage due to fall 542 bag. Other types of damage is product damage due to overheating as much as 436 bags and other types of damage as much as 99 bags.

Abstract

The aspect of ergonomics is greatly influenced by work attitude and work risk level.. Attention to the problem of ergonomics of workers is very less, especially in Micro Small Medium Enterprises (UMKM). UMKM Tahu Marina is one of the business ofmaking tofu in batam which has 6 employees. Based on observations in the field known in the process of soybean milling there is a problem of fatigue factor aspect of ergonomics. Therefore, in this research, ergonomic aspect analysis is done on knowingmilling process using REBA method through anthropometric measurement. This research is expected to analyze the fatigue level of the employees at UMKM Tahu Marina. Based on anthropometric measurement, it is known that the future range of theanthropometry in accordance with the anthropometry of the employee is 60.8 cm, the height of the vertical range of 135.3 cm and the height of the water tanks is 161.8 cm, whereas based on the final REBA score there is on the activity of raising soybean from floor to machine with Score 11. The lowest ergonomic level with a final REBA score of 9 is in the activity of taking soybeans.

Abstract

Work measurement system is very important for the company, it aims to know whether or not achieved the target company. The use of the tool can only be repaired and controlled properly if the right performance measurement system is used, to know the value of a machine or equipment effectiveness it is necessary to use a method of Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), to obtain the OEE value required calculation 3 (three) Availability Ratio, Performance effeciency, Rate ofQuality. The research was conducted on the Wheel Loader CLG-856 engine. The data used in this study consisted of data for one year. OEE calculation results from January 2016 - December 2016. The average value of Availability wheel loader no 16 from january 2016-december 2016 is 87.10%, Value Performance efficiency wheel loader no 16 from January 2016-December 2016 is above the value Ideal> 95%, Rate of Quality wheel loader no 16 from January 2016 - December 2016 is above ideal value> 99%, and OEE indicates that it is still below ideal value> 85%, where the average value of OEE is 84 , 73%, and the value is categorized acceptablebut needs to be over 85% improvement and move towardswordclass.

Abstract

Nowadays,the development of industry is increasing very rapidly. It can be knownasthe high competition between companies. Not only large and international scaled companies, small and medium-sized companies are also face the same challenges in theglobal competition. Based on the preliminary study it is known that quality control is only done within the checking limit of the number of defective products produced without being evaluated or analyzed further. It is therefore necessary to analyze the defect product data generated and evaluate the results. The purpose of this study was to analyze the incompatibility of Comb 1 mm products. Map p is used in this study to analyze the number of defective products. Then a fishbone diagram is used to analyze the cause of product nonconformity. The results showed that there were no data within the control limits and most of the products were out of the median line of the P control chart. From the fishbone diagram found that human factors, machinery, raw materials, methods, and environment are the causes of mismatch comb products 1 mm. This research is expected to be useful for companies to improve product quality and customer satisfaction.

Abstract

PT Caterpillar Indonesia Batam is a limited liability company in heavy equipment industry, in making its products Caterpillar has 4 sub production process should be carried Fabrication, Machinning, Painting and Assembly in this study aimed to analyze problems that occur in the process of painting. In the production period from February 2015 through October 2016 variation amount of paint used and therefore this study will discuss and analyze the factors that cause variations in the amount of paint used in painting Truck Body 777 using Cuase And Effect analys (fishbone diagram) then proceed to determine the dominant factor with Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) the results obtained total weight of each factor of production, namely: human (65%), the method (62%), machinery (48%), materials (75% ), environment(50%), then gained the most dominant factors that cause variations in the amount of paint used in painting process 777 Truck Body is a material factor weighing highest score is 75%

Abstract

Health and Safety (K3) is one of the problems that occur in the company. Occupational accidents usually occur because of factors of the workers themselves or the work environment. Occupational safety is a primary means of preventing work accidents which may result in injury or injury, defects or death, property loss, equipment or machinery damage and extensive environmental damage. Preventing accident can know the risk, one of them through Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, and Risk Control (HIRARC). PT Indotirta Suaka is a company engaged in pig farming. The purpose of this study is to determine the factors that dominate and the level of occupational risk that is in the department of production phase 4, data collection is done by secondary data tracking, observation, and in-depth interviews of the workforce . Risk assessment result of all potential hazard known risk value and risk percentage that is low (low risk) as 7 risk category (33%), medium risk 14 risk category (67%), while for high risk (high risk ) There are 3 potential hazards to be kicked in pigs, 2 potential dangers of pigs, 2 potential poisoning hazards, 2 potential dangers hazardous, 2 potential for falling hazards from altitude, and 2 potential dangers trampled and all dominantly classified as risk Medium (medium risk). Risk control is done by Administration Control, and Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
