Nursing Care Journal is a journal published by STIKES Telogorejo Semarang twice a year in May and November. We accepts articles in the field of nursing, including: child nursing; maternity nursing; medical-surgical nursing; critical nursing; emergency nursing; psychiatric nursing; community nursing; gerontik nursing; family nursing; and leadership and nursing management. We accept the articles including original research, review, case study, and editorial. The article language to accept with English. The submission process is open throughout the year. All texts submitted will be through multiple peer reviews and editorial reviews before being accepted for publication. This journal is used as a means of communication for practitioners, lecturers/lecturers, and researchers, especially in the field of community nursing science, for the development of science and technology according to current trends and issues.

Diabetes mellitus (DM) self management can improve health problems due to diabetes mellitus. DM Patients are susceptible to various infections due to decreased immunity. Research on the effect of self management on the immune status of patients with diabetes mellitus is still limited. Increased blood glucose for a long time and not getting good management can have an impact on all body systems, including the immune system which triggers the emergence of infectious diseases and the public perception of DM patients getting sick easily becomes something that is considered true. This study aimed to investigated the relationship between self management and the immune status of diabetes mellitus patients. We use questionnaires concerning self management and seeing the results of laboratory examinations for leukocyte types. This study involved the participation of 40 patients. The median score of self management was 2,5 days in 7 days prior to treatment. the lowest self-management behavior was physical exercise and foot care with a median was 1.3 and 1.25 days, and the highest was diet regulation behavior as much as 2.8 day. The median of leukocytes, lymphocytes and monocytes were 12.4, 25.2, and 4.2 mg/dl. There was no correlation between self management and the immune status of DM. Although there is no relationship between self management and immune status but all patients have self management behavior below 50%. Self management also needs to be improved so that the immune status is better.

Abstract: Coronary Heart Disease (CHD) is a heart function disorder due to a lack of heart muscle blood due to narrowing of the coronary arteries. One of the invasive measures that the usual way to treat CHD is Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI). The problem that often arises in pre-PCI patients is anxiety. The anxiety must be treated, because it can disrupt the patient's hemodynamic condition becomes unstable. This study aims to determine the effect of EFT on the anxiety of patients who will be treated undergoing PCI. This research design uses a quasi-experimental with the approach of one group pre-post test with control group. Number of samples in the study. These are 24 respondents who are divided into 2 groups, so that 12 respondents become intervention group and 12 respondents became the control group with a sampling technique sample using purposive sampling. The statistical test used is Paired T-Test to compare the pre-test and post-test scores in each group and Independent T-Test was used to compare the difference in anxiety between groups intervention and control groups. The results showed that EFT administration had significant effect on the level of anxiety of patients who will undergo PCI with difference in score 2.833 and p-value 0.05 (0.0001). The recommendation of this research is that EFT can be one of the additional interventions to overcome the anxiety of pre PCI patients.

Diabetes mellitus isa set of metabolic disorders characterized by increased blood glucose levels (hyperglycemia) due to damage to the insulin system, insulin action, or both. Diabetes mellitus will accompany patients for life so that it will affect the anxiety of patients both from the state of physical, psychological, social and environmental health. This is a qualitative research by using phenomenological approach. This study aimed to determine the experience of psychological adaptation to patients with diabetes mellitus at the public health center Putri Ayu. This study used in-depth interview. Taking participants in this study as many as 5 people and 5 informants, it used purposive sampling technique, interview, observation and document review toward patients with diabetes mellitus. This study uses colaizi data analysis. The finding answer obtained 3 themes, namely: theme I response to loss of people with diabetes mellitus, theme 2 family support for people with diabetes mellitus, theme 3 coping strategies used by people with diabetes mellitus. The loss response indicated when diagnosed with diabetes mellitus is in the form of an acceptance and (acceptance) response (denial). Family support obtained by people with diabetes mellitus in the form of emotional support and information. Coping strategies used by people with diabetes mellitus are problem focused coping and emotional focused coping. For other researchers to conduct and continue qualitative research on the physiological adaptation experience of people with diabetes mellitus.

The World Health Organization (WHO) declares pulmonary TB as a very important and serious public health problem worldwide and is a disease that causes a global emergency because in some countries of the world, pulmonary TB disease is uncontrolled due to the large number of patients who are not successfully cured, as well as as the main cause of death caused by infectious diseases. the number of patients with pulmonary TB by 0.36% in West Kalimantan. According to the Pontianak City Health Profile in 2017, it was found that lung TB sufferers in 2016 in pontianak city as much as 64.28%, while in 2017 as much as 77.19%, based on this figure can be known to increase the percentage of pulmonary TB in 2017 compared to 2016. This study aims to find out the picture of nursing care in patients with respiratory system disorders, Pulmonary Tuberculosis (pulmonary TB). The research method used is the case study method. A case study is a study that explores a nursing problem in detail, has in-depth data retrieval and includes a variety of sources of information. The results of the study: after a study obtained the results that psien before illness is an active smoker, this is supported by Novita statement, smoking behavior can cause an increased risk of tb to 2 times. Problems are found ineffectiveness of breath patterns, activity intolerance, readiness to improve sleep.

This study aims to identify the relationship between self-esteem and student anxiety in preparing the final scientific paper and is expected to provide benefits for finding various conditions in students when preparing the final project and can be developed in nursing interventions. The results of the study conducted through interviews with ten Nursing undergraduate students, STIKES Guna Bangsa showed that students in composing a thesis felt anxious. Six people were moderately anxious, three people were very anxious, and one was mildly anxious. The results of the interview also revealed that the ability of students in writing thesis answers to students varied, two students were confident and confident, eight students felt unable to compile a thesis. To know relationship between self-esteem with anxiety in preparing a thesis on the students. This research was a quantitative descriptive research with cross sectional approach. This research involved 58 students. The study instrument used an anxiety questionnaire and Rosenberg's Self-Esteem Scale (RSES). Technique of data analysis used pearson- product moment correlation test. 1) Students‟ self-esteem is mostly in medium category as number of 31 people (53,4%), 2) students‟ anxiety is mostly in medium category as number of 48 people (82,8%), 3) There is corelation between self-esteem and anxiety in making thesis on the students with a significant value of 0.001 (p <0.05). There is a relationship of self-esteem and anxiety of making a thesis on the students.

Parents are the main and first educators for children. Adolescents enter a phase of searching for identity and a period of transition to adulthood. Smoking is a deviant behavior and poses a health risk to teenagers. As many as 8 students at South Tangerang Private High School are used to smoking. The aim of the research was to determine the relationship between smoking parents and smoking behavior among students at South Tangerang Private High School. Cross sectional research design. The sample in the research consisted of 80 students at private high schools. Data analysis used the Chi-Square test. The research results showed that the majority of respondents were 18 years old, their parents were smokers, and students were used to smoking. There is a relationship between smoking parents and students' smoking behavior (P value= 0.013; α<0.05). It is hoped that this research can be used as material for school evaluations regarding student smoking behavior.

Introduction: Community-Acquired Pneumonia (CAP) is a lower respiratory tract infection that can affect children. Handling CAP requires comprehensive nursing care to minimize complications. This case study aims to evaluate the implementation of nursing care in two cases of CAP in the Children's Emergency Room at RSUP Dr. Wahidin Sudirohusodo Makassar. Method: used in this case study is a descriptive method, with case presentation and using a nursing process approach with a focus on one of the important problems in the selected case, namely nursing care for Community Acquired Pneumonia (CAP) clients. Results: Implementation of nursing care was carried out during the first 6 hours after entering the hospital. In An.L's case, evaluation showed that airway clearance was ineffective and the ineffective breathing pattern had not resolved. In the case of An.A, airway clearance is ineffective, breathing patterns are ineffective, and the risk of infection has not been resolved Analysis: The main inhibiting factors are limited implementation time and the patient's response to nursing interventions is not yet optimal.Conclusions and Suggestions: Evaluation shows that nursing problems have not been completely resolved in both cases. Suggestions to the hospital to provide regular education and training, especially regarding the latest service methods for patients with emergency nursing cases, to increase knowledge and skills for nursing staff, especially those in the pediatric emergency room at Dr. RSUP Hospital. Wahidin Sudirohusodo Makassar.

The hospital environment has the potential for disease transmission, nurses as implementers of nursing care are at risk of contracting infectious diseases in carrying out their duties. In hospitals there are occupational hazards including biological hazards, chemical hazards, ergonomic hazards, physical hazards, and psychosocial hazards). The purpose of this study was to determine the description of work hazards in nurses at SMC Telogorejo Hospital. This research is a descriptive survey by conducting observations and interviews, nonprobability sampling technique Purposive Sampling type with a large sample size of 228 respondents. The results of this study illustrate that the majority of nurses have exposure to physical work hazards (cold climate), biological work hazards (airborne), chemical hazards (use of disinfectant liquid and handscoon), ergonomic work hazards (medical actions), and psychosocial work hazards (workload). From this study it was found that overall nurses at SMC Telogorejo Hospital were exposed to work hazards in the mild category. It is expected that SMC Telogorejo Hospital monitors and evaluates the application of OHSRS to Nurses in carrying out their duties and responsibilities so as to improve the performance, safety and health of Nurses.

Data collection using questionnaire self care management from Self-Care of Coronary Heart Disease Inventory (SC-CHDI) and World Health Organization Quality of Life-BREF ( WHOQOL-BREF) . Statistical test results use Spearman Rank isobtained results p value 0.000 (<0.05), with mark coefficient correlation 0.463. Based on results study obtained conclusion that there is connection between self care management with quality life CHD Patients During Covid-19 Pandemic at Tugurejo Regional Hospital Semarang. Recommendations from study This is for energy health can notice as well as increase self care management with give education management of PJK with well , so will influential to improvement quality life CHD patients . Patient safety is an important part of health care. Patient safety is important in preventing and reducing risks, errors and injuries that can occur during service. The role of nurses in improving patient safety in hospitals must be able to actively participate in realizing it properly. Nurses' knowledge of patient safety greatly influences the performance of nurses in implementing and implementing patient safety actions in hospitals. This study uses a descriptive correlation research design type of quantitative method with a cross-sectional research approach. The results of this study are expected to be a reference for improving the quality of nurses' professionalism in implementing patient safety. Based on data analysis using the Sparman Rank statistical test between nurses' knowledge and patient safety attitudes, the results of the p value were 0.033 (<0.05) which means Ha is accepted, where there is a significant relationship between nurses' knowledge and patient safety attitudes, with a correlation coefficient value of 0.428, namely the level of relationship strength is sufficient, with a positive correlation direction. The results of this study are expected to be a reference for improving the quality of nurses' professionalism in implementing patient safety.
