Abstract

Preschool age children are children with an age range of 4-6 Children at this age show further motor development and show the ability to move more activities. The 4M collage technique activity is an activity where children can learn to write, cut, stick and fold using a child's fingers, from these small movements that can provide a stimulus or stimulation in children's fine motor development because 4M collage technique activities require eye-muscle coordination. - finger muscles, so that children's fine motor development develops optimally. The design in this study used a quasi-experimental design using a one group pre-post test design, with a total sample of 38 respondents. Data collection using the observation sheet Denver II to determine fine motor development before being given the 4M collage technique. To find out the difference before and after the 4M collage technique, the researcher used the test analysis Wilcoxon. With the results showing a p value of 0.000 0.05, it can be concluded that there is an influence of the 4M collage technique on the fine motor development of preschool children aged 4-6 years in Rw 07 Purwodadi District. Recommendations from this study are teachers can add learning activities using collage techniques as a stimulation for fine motor development of preschool children.

Abstract

Elderly is someone who has reached the age of 60 years and over. The elderly are a group that is included in the vulnerable category, as a vulnerable group. The elderly have the characteristics of various changes in all aspects of life which include physiological, psychological, social and spiritual changes. Hypertension is a chronic condition without symptoms in which the arterial blood pressure is very high. So prevention of further hypertension can be done by using the following strategy (measure blood pressure regularly, continue to take medication regularly and recommend drinking traditional herbs). This study aims to determine the effect of the ULA strategy on hypertension blood pressure levels in the elderly. This type of research uses a pre-experiment one group pre-post test design. The sampling technique used was accidental sampling with a total of 30 respondents. The statistical test used is Wilcoxson. From the results of this study, 25 respondents obtained ULA strategy data that routinely intervened, while the mean artery prausure (MAP) 2 respondents occupied stage 1, 7 respondents occupied stage 3 and 19 respondents occupied stage 4. The results of this study indicate that there is a significant influence between before and after being given the intervention with a p value: 0.000 (<0.005). Recommendations from the results of the study are that the ULA strategy can be used as an intervention to reduce blood pressure levels.

Abstract

Background: Schizophrenia is a chronic mental disorder characterized by disturbances in thought, perception, and behavior. One of the major challenges in managing schizophrenia is the high rate of relapse, which is often influenced by the family’s level of knowledge and ability to provide home care. Objective: This study aimed to determine the relationship between family knowledge and relapse among schizophrenia patients at the Psychiatric Clinic of Tk II Robert Wolter Mongisidi Hospital, Manado. Methods: This research used a quantitative analytical design with a cross-sectional approach. A total of 89 respondents were selected using purposive sampling. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using the Chi-Square test. Results: The findings showed that most families (76.4%) had poor knowledge, and most patients (79.8%) experienced relapse. The Chi-Square test revealed a significant relationship between family knowledge and relapse among schizophrenia patients (p = 0.000, p < 0.05). Conclusion: There is a significant correlation between family knowledge and relapse among schizophrenia patients. Families with better understanding of schizophrenia are more capable of providing effective care and preventing relapse. Continuous education and family empowerment are essential to improve patient outcomes and reduce relapse rates.

Abstract

Seniors who have entered the age of over 60 are prone to experiencing various health problems, including physical and psychological changes that have an impact on sleep quality. This study aims to determine the relationship between physical activity and sleep quality of the elderly at ILP Flamboyan 02 Karangsari, Adipala. The study used a quantitative approach with a correlational design and a cross sectional design. The sample totaled 55 respondents who were taken through the total sampling technique. Data collection was carried out using a questionnaire and analyzed with the Chi-Square test. The results of the univariate analysis showed that most of the elderly had moderate levels of physical activity (60.0%) and poor sleep quality (78.2%). Bivariate analysis showed that there was no significant relationship between physical activity and sleep quality in the elderly. However, a significant relationship was found between feelings of loneliness and the quality of sleep of the elderly (p value = 0.013). These findings indicate that psychosocial factors such as loneliness have a greater influence on sleep quality than physical activity. Therefore, interventions that focus on improving social interaction and reducing loneliness need to be considered in efforts to improve the sleep quality of the elderly. This research contributes to the development of promotive and preventive strategies for the health of the elderly in the orphanage or similar community.

Abstract

Emergency hypertension is an increase in blood pressure ≥180/120 mmHg accompanied by new or worsening damage to the target organ, and is the main factor in the occurrence of Intracerebral Hemorrhage (ICH). ICH is an intracranial hemorrhage due to a rupture of blood vessels in brain tissue. Based on Riskesdas data, there are around 100 thousand cases of emergency hypertension that have an impact on ICH in Indonesia. Proper management, both pharmacological and non-pharmacological, is very necessary. Nonpharmacological interventions such as 30° head up position and Benson's relaxation can help lower intracranial pressure (ICT). The 30° head up increases blood flow to the brain and prevents an increase in ICT, while Benson's relaxation lowers the activity of the sympathetic nervous system, dilates arteries, and facilitates tissue oxygenation. The purpose of this paper was to analyze the application of 30° head up nursing interventions and Benson relaxation in ICH patients with decreased intracranial adaptive capacity. The results of the study showed blood pressure of 185/95 mmHg, MAP of 118 mmHg, and the results of the CT-Scan showed ICH in the thalamus to the right radial corona. The intervention was carried out for three days and proved effective in reducing ICT. This scientific paper is expected to improve the quality of neurological nursing care as well as understanding and critical thinking skills in handling ICH cases.
