Abstract

Poverty remains an important development issue that is influenced by fiscal capacity, labor market conditions, and economic performance. This study aims to analyze the effect of Regional Original Revenue (PAD) and Open Unemployment Rate (TPT) on poverty through economic growth in Indonesia using a path analysis approach. This study uses secondary panel data from 34 provinces in Indonesia and employs two structural equations to examine direct and indirect relationships among the variables. The analysis is conducted using panel data regression and the Sobel test to assess the mediating role of economic growth. The results show that PAD and TPT have negative but insignificant effects on economic growth. Meanwhile, PAD and TPT have negative and significant effects on poverty, while economic growth has a positive but insignificant effect on poverty. The Sobel test indicates that economic growth does not significantly mediate the effects of PAD or TPT on poverty. These findings suggest that the effects of PAD and TPT on poverty are more evident through direct relationships rather than through economic growth as an intervening variable.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effects of Average Years of Schooling, economic growth, and government spending on the poverty rate in 33 regencies/cities in North Sumatra Province during 2020–2024. The study employs a quantitative approach using panel data sourced from the Central Statistics Agency and local government spending data. The data were analyzed using panel data regression with the assistance of EViews 10. Based on the Chow test and Hausman test, the Fixed Effect Model (FEM) was selected as the most appropriate model. The results show that Average Years of Schooling has a negative and significant effect on poverty, while economic growth has a negative but insignificant effect. Government spending also has a negative and significant effect on the poverty rate. Simultaneously, the three variables have a significant effect on poverty. The R-squared value of 0.990207 indicates that the model is able to explain 99.02 percent of the variation in the poverty rate, while the remaining 0.98 percent is explained by factors outside the model. These findings highlight the importance of improving education and managing government spending in supporting poverty reduction efforts in North Sumatra.

Abstract

Abstract

The rapid growth of the foreign culinary industry specializing in Japanese food in Indonesia creates intense market competition. Product attributes such as halal assurance and product authenticity are critical aspects considered by consumers in decision-making. This quantitative research aims to analyze the partial and simultaneous effects of halal assurance and product authenticity on consumer satisfaction at Kedaishi Ramen in Malang City. The sample consisted of 100 respondents selected through purposive sampling based on specific criteria, and data were collected via direct questionnaire distribution. Data analysis was conducted using classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression analysis, correlation tests, and hypothesis testing. The partial test results indicate that halal assurance has a positive and significant effect on consumer satisfaction. Similarly, product authenticity also exerts a positive and significant effect on consumer satisfaction. Simultaneously, both independent variables significantly influence consumer satisfaction. Furthermore, the coefficient of determination demonstrates that halal assurance is the most dominant factor influencing changes in consumer satisfaction. Management is advised to maintain halal compliance and strengthen the authentic visual and cultural presentation of the restaurant.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effects of capital expenditure, economic growth, and the Human Development Index (HDI) on poverty levels in regencies and municipalities across North Sumatra Province during the 2020–2024 period. This study employs a quantitative approach using panel data covering 33 regencies and municipalities over five years of observation. The data are analyzed using panel data regression with the assistance of EViews software. Model selection is conducted through the Chow test and the Hausman test, with the Fixed Effects Model (FEM) selected as the estimation model. The results show that, partially, capital expenditure and economic growth have no statistically significant effect on poverty levels, while the HDI has a negative and statistically significant effect on poverty levels. Simultaneously, the three independent variables have a statistically significant effect on poverty levels. The Adjusted R-squared value of 98.50% indicates that the model explains most of the variation in poverty levels, while the remaining variation is explained by other factors outside the research model. These findings highlight the importance of improving the quality of human development in supporting poverty alleviation efforts in North Sumatra Province. Therefore, local governments need to strengthen policies that support improvements in education quality, healthcare, and living standards, while ensuring that capital expenditure allocations and economic growth generate more equitable benefits for the community.
