This study aims to determine the level of macrozoobenthos diversity and water quality based The biodiversity Index This study was conducted in May-June 2015 by using purposive sampling method in five different locations of community activities. The research showed 20 species belonging to the 17 families, 4 orders, and 2 classes. The highest density on the station I found the Anadara cornea species of 171.43 ind/m2, the station II on the Anadara cornea species of 304.76 ind/m2, the station III on the species of Murex trapa amounted to 266.67 ind/m2, the station IV in species Volema Myristica and Anadara cornea of 190.48 ind/m2, the station V on the species Monodonta canalifera of 152.38 ind/m2. The highest diversity index of 2.88 at the station I classified in the level of diversity rate as medium and the lowest at station IV of 2.70 were classified in the level of diversity rate as medium. Uniformity index ranged from 0.92 to 0.96 with the uniformity of species category is relatively evenly distributed. Based on the diversity index is known that the estuarine waters of the Coral Ivory wildlife reserve in the category of medium polluted. Keywords :Macrozoobenthos, Diversity, Pollution Level.

Abstract

Percut Sei Tuan Estuary has 3,820 meters length, is influenced by the tide and the shipping line and tourist activity. Macrozoobenthos diversity and the measurement of physical and chemical factors is one of the parameters used to determine changes in water quality in the estuary Percut Sei Tuan. The purpose of this study was to determine the physical and chemical waters in relation to water quality standards under PP No. 82 of 2001 with Storet method as well as the density and macrozoobenthos diversity. This research was conducted over two months, from March until April 2016 Percut Sei Tuan estuary District of Deli Serdang North Sumatera province. Percut Sei Tuan Estuary is categorized at third class water classificatized that can be used for water recreation facilities, fishing ponds and water tourism and for irrigation. Pollution level belongs to the class C is lightly polluted accordance with Method Storet. Values Index Diversity (H') macrozoobenthos obtained at each research station : station 1 is 1,375, station 2 is 1,444 station 3 is 2,050. These results indicate that the diversity of macrozoobenthos was moderate. Pearson correlation analysis results showed that the temperature, salinity and pH highly correlated, BOD5 classified as moderate, and light penetration is low DO and COD relatively very low correlated. Keywords: Estuaries Percut Sei Tuan, Macrozoobenthos Biodiversity, Water Quality

Abstract

Research was carried out at the Sitardas Village, Badiri Subdistrict, Tapanuli Tengah District on April 2016. The research aim were to know covered percentage and density of seagrass at Sitardas Village, Tapanuli Tengah District. Seagrass observations using transect quadratic method. In this research, found 4 species of seagrass consist of Enhalus acoroides, Cymodocea serrulata, Cymodocea rotundata and Halophila ovalis. Physical-chemical parameter of waters obtained temperature ranges 28-29°C, water depth ranges 50-95 cm, salinity ranges 27-29 ppt, pH ranges 7.8-8.0, speed of water flow ranges 0.10-0.70 m/s, DO ranges 5.1-6.4 mg/l and water transparency was 100%. Type of substrates obtained were loam sandy, silty loam and sandy loam. The mean seagrass covered percentage was 5.24%, Seagrass covered percentage per species obtained Enhalus acoroides was 4.99%, Cymodocea serrulata was 0.19%, Cymodocea rotundata was 0.06% and Halophila ovalis was 0%. Seagrass density of each spesies were Enhalus acoroides 26 individual/m², Cymodocea serrulata 5 individual/m², Cymodocea rotundata 3 individual/m² and Halophila ovalis 2 individual/m². Dispersial pattern seagrass Enhalus acoroides and Cymodocea serrulata was uniform while Cymodocea rotundata and Halophila ovalis was clumped. Keywords: Covered percentage, Density, Seagrass, Sitardas Village

Abstract

Catfish is consumption fish , with a chewy meat structure, easily separated with its thorns and low calorie content, 120 calorie each 3.5 ounce. Catfish are also used as ornamental fish in the aquarium with a shiny silver body color, as well as agile body movements make catfish widely favored ornamental fish lovers. The purpose of this study was to determine effect of probiotic in addition on growth and feed conversion ratio of catfish. This study used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with four treatments, namely, P0 (without the addition / control), P1( probiotic addition 1 g / kg), P2 (probiotic addition 2 g / kg), P3 (probiotic addition 3 g / kg ). The treatment P1 provides a significant influence on weight gain, but no significant effect on the length catfish. The treatment P1 is the best dose for the growth catfish with growth 8,54 cm long value and weight value 7,56 g and feed conversion ratio 0,82.Keyword: Catfish, Growth, Probiotics. FCR
