Abstract

Abstract The objective of this research is knowing the influence of marketing mix strategy towards purchasing decisions Simpati Telkomsel Card at faculty of Economics undergraduate program students University of North Sumatera. The kind of this research is explanatory research. Analysis method to test the hypotezis by using multiple linier regression, simultaneous test and partial test. SPSS 16.0 for windows was used to calculate and analyze the data of research. The data that used consist of primer and secondary data. This research used 96 respondents which determined by using accidental Sampling. The result of this research by multiple regression test shows that based on simultaneous test marketing mix strategy consist of Product, Price, Promotion, and Place have positive and significant influence towards purchasing decisions Simpati Telkomsel Card at faculty of Economics undergraduate program students University of North Sumatera. And based on partial test showed that the price variable has the most dominant influence towards purchasing decisions Simpati Telkomsel Card at faculty of Economics undergraduate program students University of North Sumatera. And calculating the coefficient of determination (R2) obtained a value of 0.338 means that the determinant of the independent variables of product, price, promotion, and location of the dependent variable is able to explain the purchase decision of 33.8% and the remaining 66.2% is explained by other variables not examined in this study. Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this research is to obtain empirical evidence about the effect of the trading day on stock return LQ-45 in Indonesia Stock Exchange and the effects of the fourth and fifth Monday about  the lowest of stock returns on Monday. Sampling method in this study use purposive sampling design. The research sample consists of 35 firms that listed in the LQ-45 during August 2011 – July 2012. The analysis method used is descriptive analysis and multiple linear regression with no intercept (multiple regression through the origin) and hypothesis testing using t-statistics (t-test). The results of the study indicate that day trading effects significantly stock returns LQ-45 in Indonesia Stock Exchange or day of the week effect, but the study failed to prove the effect of the fourth and fifth Monday about the the lowest of stock returns on Monday or week-four effect. Abstract

ABSTRACT This  research to determine the influence of intellectual capital of financial performance on Regional Development Bank in Indonesian.  The independent variable in this research is the intellectual capital as measured by VAICTM and the dependent variable is financial performance as measured by Return On Assets (ROA), BOPO, Asset Turn Over (ATO) and Growth (GR).The obtained of data from18 Regional Development Bank publisher a complete the financial of reports for 5-year periods, it starting from 2008 until 2012. This research uses The Pulic Model (Value Added Intellectual Capital Coefficient-VAICTM) as the efficiency measure of intellectual capital component. The method used is descriptive analysis and simple regression analysis with use SPSS for windows to process. The result show that intellectual capital (VAICTM) has a positive and not significant to financial performance regional development bank, except BOPO and GR, intellectual capital (VAICTM) has a positive and not significant to financial performance regional development bank in the coming period, except BOPO and intellectual capital growth (ROGIC) has a positive and not significant to financial performance regional development bank except BOPO and GR.   Keywords  : intellectual capital, VAICTM, Return On Assets (ROA), BOPO, Assets Turn Over (ATO), Growth (GR), ROGIC

Abstract

Abstract The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Self-Efficacy, Motivation Of Business Success In Entrepreneur copy of The District Panyabungan Mandailing Natal district. The method of analysis used is deskrptif analysis methods and statistical multiple regression analysis. Techniques of data collection were interviews, questionnaires, study dokumentsasi. The formulation of the problem in this research is to investigate and analyze the effect of self efficacy, motivation to Business Success In Entrepreneur photocopy In Sub District Panyabungan Mandailing Natal. The results of this study showed that the test results to the value of 36.814 F indicates that the variable which consists of self-efficacy and motivation can be used to estimate the success of the business in the District Panyabungan. T significant test results (t test) states that the variables have a significant effect is self efficacy variable (X1), with a significant level of 0.016 <0.05, while the variable motivation (X2) should be increased again in order to estimate the effort success copy in Sub Panyabungan. Results determinant coefficient () is 0.156 meaning that 15.6% have the business success copy can be explained by the variable efficacy and motivation have a close enough relationship to the success of businesses in the district a copy of Panyabungan. Abstract

ABSTRACT   The purpose of this research is to analyze the differences and to compare financial performance between financial performance of PT HM  Sampoerna,Tbk and P.T Gudang Garam,Tbk. The data used are the annual financial statements of PT HM. Sampoerna,Tbk and PT Gudang Garam,Tbk, which have been audited from 2009-2011.This research is case study research. The method of data analysis is descriptive analysis. The analysis technique used is comparison of financial Ratios with the combined ratio analysis and statistical technique using Mann-Whitney (U-Test), with a significance level (α) = 5%. Analyzing data using statistical data processed by software SPSS for windows 16.0. The results showed that the financial performance of PT HM Sampoerna,Tbk better than PT Gudang Garam,Tbk. The Financial Performance is measured by liquidity, leverage, activity and profitability ratios. According to the result of Mann-Whitney (U-Test )method, conclude that there is a different of financial performance between PT HM Sampoerna,Tbk and PT Gudang Garam,Tbk comprehensively. Financial performance of PT HM. Sampoerna,Tbk better than PT Gudang Garam, Tbk. The hypothesis testing for 11 financial ratios both of them, show that 10 ratios are different significantly namely CR, QR, DAR, DER, ITO, TATO, NPM, ROI, ROE, TIE. Another ratio namely: EPS doesn’t show the significant difference. Key Words : Current Ratio, Quick Ratio, DAR, DER, TIE, Inventory Turnover Ratio, TATO, NPM, ROE, ROI, EPS.

Abstract

Abstract This research aims to determine and analyze the influences packaging, quality, branding and price for purchasing decision of shampoo Pantene on Faculty of Economic University of North Sumatera’s students. Sampling technique using a purposive sampling method. With target of 97 population are Faculty of Economic University of North Sumatera’s students who had purchased and using shampoo Pantene. This research using data by questionnaire and documentation. Measured data using Likert scale. Data processing with hypothesis testing using linier regresion analysis. The results of this research showed quality and branding have a positive and significant effect for purchasing decision of shampoo Pantene on Faculty of Economic University of North Sumatera’s students but packaging and price have a positive but not significant effect for purchasing decision of shampoo Pantene on Faculty of Economic University of North Sumatera’s. Rated R sequare = 59,6% mean that relation of variabel tight enough. Keywords: Consumer Involvement, Differences inter Brands, Buying Decision

Abstract

ABSTRACT This research is aimed to determine and to analyze the effect of financial variables that consist of return on assets (ROA), debt to equity ratio (DER), the amount of the company (size), earnings per share (EPS), the size of stocks offering (proceeds) and non financial variables that consist of firm age, underwriter reputation, auditors reputation, inflation, and interest rates effect on underpricing of company stock doing Initial Public Offering (IPO) in Indonesia Stocks Exchange (January 2007 to June 2012). The analysis method that is used multiple linear regression analysis. The sample of this research is 67 companies. The results of this research is ROA, DER, the amount of the company (size), earnings per share, the size of the stock offering (proceeds), the age of the company, underwriter reputation, auditor reputation, inflation, and interest rates with significancy (α = 5%), simultaneously effect on underpricing. Partially, only underwriter reputation that significantly and negatively related to underpricing, while ROA, DER, the amount of the company (size), EPS, the size of the stock offering (proceeds), age of firm, auditor reputation, inflation, and interest rates didn’t significantly effect on underpricing of company stock doing Initial Public Offering (IPO) in Indonesia Stocks Exchange (January 2007 to June 2012). Abstract

Consumer attitudes is the tendency of consumers to evaluate brands either liked or disliked by the consumer consistently. This study used questionnaires, in order to identify and analyze the effect of consumers' attitude toward product purchasing decisions on a BlackBerry phone extension management USU students. This study uses descriptive analysis. The population used in this study were students of the Faculty of Economics USU Extension Management using BlackBerry Mobile. With a sample as many as 65 students. The data was processed using simple linear regression analysis, determinasi coefficient and t-test. The results showed that the attitudes of consumers who use mobile phones BlackBerry has a positive and significant impact on consumer purchasing decisions at the Faculty of Economics, Management Students USU Extension. Value of coefficient of determination equal to 0.502 means the ability of variable consumer attitudes on BlackBerry mobile products in explaining the purchasing decisions at Management Students of the Faculty of Economics USU Extension by 50.20% and the remaining 49.80% influenced by other variables that are not included in this study. Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this research is to investigate and analyze the effect of stock returns, stock trading volume and stock price volatility toward bid-ask spread on companies that doing stock split activity in the Indonesia Stock Exchange. Type of this research is asosiative research. The population that is used in this research is 20 companies that doing stock split activity in the Indonesia Stock Exchange with some criterias. Hypothesis testing uses multiple regression method, with significance level 5%. The results of this research indicates that stock returns, stock trading volume and stock price volatility simultaneously have significantly effect toward bid-ask spread in the stock on companies that doing stock split activity in the Indonesia Stock Exchange. Partially, stock trading volume has positive effect and not significant, and stock price volatility has negative effect and not significant, only the stock return has positive and significant effect toward bid-ask spread on companies that doing stock split activity in the Indonesia Stock Exchange. Branch of MEDAN ISKANDAR MUDA The purpose of this survey is to know the influence to analyze of communication and motivation on business performance in PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. Branch of Medan Iskandar Muda. This research is a causal type, Data used in this research is the primary data and secondary data. Data analysis methods used is descriptive quantitative by using multiple linear regression. The population in this study were a total 50 respondents for study the sample, with saturation sampling technique. The study showed that the variable communication in a positive and not significant influence but to a variable motivation in a positive effect and significant to employee performance in PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk.
