Abstract

This article explores the vital role of sportsmanship within the context of sports, focusing on the development of positive values among adolescents and adults. Sportsmanship is not merely about physical competition but also encompasses attitudes and behaviors that reflect fair play. Among adolescents, participation in sports enhances not only physical performance but also fosters character development, responsibility, and the ability to cope with defeat in a resilient manner. Moreover, sportsmanship serves as a foundation for mutual respect and cooperation in social interactions. At the adult level, sportsmanship is essential for creating a positive environment in sports practice. Mutual respect, humility, and a willingness to collaborate form the basis for building an inclusive and supportive sports community. In the adult sphere, sportsmanship also contributes to reducing tensions and conflicts, thus positively influencing the workplace and daily life. Therefore, this article highlights the importance of sportsmanship as a valuable asset for character development and the cultivation of a society grounded in positive values.

Abstract

Pencak silat PRSH is a martial art sport based on the Setia Hati school. This martial arts has a coach and there are several problems. The problem that can be seen is the management of athlete achievement coaching. The purpose of this study was to determine the management of athlete achievement coaching. The subjects in this study were administrators, coaches, and athletes. Data collection used through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis uses data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Based on the results obtained that, 1) the first stage, namely athlete massaging, as a whole has not gone well because athletes do not know the actual vision, mission and goals, and lack of infrastructure to support training, 2) the second stage, namely athlete breeding, in this case the implementation has not gone well and can be seen from the recruitment of athletes who still do not have specific criteria, 3) the third stage, namely achievement results, is also still not going well, coordination and provision of information from administrators and coaches only through WhatsApp and Instagram groups, training programs are carried out only 3 months before the match so that the results of athlete development have not increased significantly. The conclusion from the results of this study is that the management of athlete achievement coaching is still not going well enough. The suggestion of this researcher is that the management of coaching athlete achievement still needs improvement, especially in training programs.

Abstract

This research aims to explore how the Merdeka Belajar curriculum is applied in Physical Education, Sports and Health (PJOK) learning at Ciasem 2 elementary schools. This research highlights the problem where the Ministry of Education and Culture has issued regulations regarding the Merdeka Belajar curriculum. The method used is descriptive qualitative with the main data source involving the school principal, PJOK teachers and students. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and documentation, with data analysis involving data condensation, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The data collection instrument also involves testing the validity of the data and testing credibility. The results of the research show that the implementation of the Merdeka Belajar curriculum in PJOK learning has been carried out optimally. However, there are obstacles related to teachers' understanding of the concept of the Merdeka Belajar curriculum and the lack of preparation by teachers in implementing it. The successful implementation of the Merdeka Belajar curriculum in PJOK learning is very dependent on the willingness to change in accordance with government regulations and the ability to see existing potential. However, Merdeka Belajar learning planning is not fully in accordance with theory and does not demonstrate the use of CP (Learning Outcomes), ATP (Learning Objective Flow), and MA (Teaching Modules) in the learning process.

Abstract

From the results of the author's observations, in the pencak silat extracurricular during training, that in terms of the use of front kicks there are still children who do not have kicking speed when performing straight kicking techniques due to lack of attention to speed training exercises on the muscle part, this can be seen when kicking the athlete does not reach maximum speed. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there is an effect of pliometric training on increasing the speed of the front kick of pencak silat at SMAN 1 Maja. The method used is experimental method with One Group Pretest-postest Design research design. The number of samples was 20 people, with total sampling technique. While the instrument uses a front kick martial arts test. From the results of hypothesis testing, the value of 0.015 is smaller than 0.5, it can be said that the hypothesis is accepted, this means that there is an effect of pliometric training on increasing the speed of front kicks.

Abstract

Neurobic Exercise is a training method that combines both physical and sensory faculty such as hearing, cognition and memory (Dighe, et al., 2020). Neurobic exercises provides stimulus that can improve cognitive abilities such as alertness, concentration, speed, perception, learning, memory, problem solving and creativity. Furthermore, to gain more optimal result in some exercise, we need to first understand how this kind of exercises method works. Therefore, this study aims to determine the level of knowledge of UNNES Sports Science students regarding the effect of neurobic training on improving cognitive function. This research is quantitative descriptive research with a survey method. This research uses questionnaire with 3 indicators with a total of 30 question items. A total of 56 samples were taken using purposive sampling method. Quantitative descriptive analysis technique was used to analyze the data sample. The results showed there were 45 samples having a good level of knowledge whereas other 11 were on moderate level of knowledge. The average score obtained was 22.9 with a standard deviation of 2.47. The highest score obtained was 28 while the lowest score was 17. The conclusion of this research is that UNNES Sports Science students have a good level of knowledge about neurobic exercise and its effect on improving cognitive function.
