Abstract

Empowering human resources at the village level, the country's first central point, is key to improving the quality of life and welfare of the community. However, there is an important issue that hinders stunting, which affects children's growth and development, thus affecting learning ability and productivity. Tlogotirto Village, Gabus Subdistrict, Grobogan, Central Java is one of the areas with a concerning stunting rate. In addition, this village is quite fertile with various natural potentials, including agricultural products, livestock, and water sources. However, community awareness of their potential is still low, which has an impact on the family economy. If this continues to happen, the handling of stunting cannot be done optimally, even though it is supported by government programs. For this reason, UNNES Giat 9 participants in Tlogotirto Village planned various programs including "Socialization of Entrepreneurship & Development of Selling Value Products, Mapping the Location of MSMEs Through Google Maps, Utilization of Used Cooking Oil Waste, Corn Cob Waste into Briquettes, and 3R Hazardous Waste Management".

Abstract

Jurangmangu Village is the smallest village in Pulosari District, Pemalang Regency, Central Java, Indonesia. Jurangmangu Village consists of 2 hamlets, namely Cikunang Hamlet and Krajan Hamlet, which are divided into 7 RTs and 2 RWs. The topographic condition of Jurangmangu Village consists of a plateau which has a height of 1200 meters above sea level and is close to Mount Slamet. The population in Jurangmangu Village at the end of 2022 was 1,344 people, consisting of 672 men and 672 women. Commodities that still exist today in Jurangmangu Village are coffee and tobacco plants. This tobacco plant is sold in various areas such as Parakan, Wonosobo, Temanggung and Magelang. Meanwhile, the coffee is processed by yourself and sold by word of mouth which is spread from cafe to cafe. Jurangmangu Coffee is managed by the Tunas Cikunang Group under the name D'Jav Coffe which was founded in 2018. Jurangmangu Village still has minimal use of the internet, during the 5 years it has been established the farmer group has experienced difficulties in promoting and marketing D'Jav Coffe products, especially via the internet. This causes the general public to be less familiar with D'Jav Coffee coffee products and unable to compete with other coffee products. Conditions like this will reduce selling power and will not be able to meet the targets expected by the Tunas Cikunang Farmers Group. The type of research used in this service research is qualitative research. The results of this research are to produce products with the aim of improving MSMEs in Jurangmangu Village. This service activity is used to implement the Women Agents of Pancasila. Jurangmangu Village was chosen as a Pancasila Activator Village which has indicators of success in producing products or services from training or mentoring activities for women's community groups targeting PKK women in Jurangmangu Village. The Jurangmangu Village Group held training on making coffee jam and body scrub which aims to improve MSMEs, improve the economy and open up job opportunities in Jurangmangu Village. With this training, PKK women will practice directly making coffee jam and body scrub using Jurangmangu Coffee as the main ingredient.

Abstract

Stunting remains a major challenge in Indonesia, particularly in rural areas like Sidorejo Lor. The "Dapur Sehat Atasi Stunting" (DASHAT) program was designed to address this issue through an educational and participatory approach focused on enhancing community understanding of balanced nutrition. The program's objective is to improve community knowledge and skills in creating nutritious menus utilizing easily accessible local foods. The target audience is the community of Sidorejo Lor, particularly Posyandu and PKK members. Methods used include counseling, training, cooking demonstrations, and 30-day mentoring. The implementation process began with education on basic nutrition, followed by training and cooking demonstrations to provide practical skills. Intensive mentoring was conducted to ensure the application of DASHAT menus in daily life. The results of this program indicate a significant increase in nutritional understanding and cooking skills, as well as active participation in program activities. The program successfully encouraged dietary changes in the community, potentially reducing stunting rates in Sidorejo Lor. This success highlights the importance of educational and participatory approaches in addressing public health issues.

Abstract

Rag waste, left over from textile production, poses a serious environmental problem in Indonesia due to its difficulty in decomposing and its often-perceived lack of value. In an effort to address this issue, the UNNES Giat 9 team conducted a community service program in Karangmojo Village, Sukoharjo Regency, aimed at transforming rag waste into economically valuable products. This initiative involved the waste bank community "Dadi Makmur" through socialization and training in making doormats from patchwork waste. The training not only improved the community's skills in waste processing but also successfully opened new business opportunities, evidenced by the sale of 7 out of the 10 mats produced during the program. This program also supports the concept of a circular economy by reducing waste and maximizing the reuse of existing resources. The results of this activity demonstrate that the utilization of patchwork waste has great potential to improve the economic welfare of the community while contributing to environmental sustainability. This success is expected to inspire other communities to undertake similar initiatives in efforts to create a cleaner and healthier environment while increasing income through the effective utilization of previously underutilized waste.

Abstract

SMEs (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises) play a crucial role in Indonesia's economy but often face challenges such as a lack of entrepreneurial mindset and managerial skills. This study aims to address the challenges faced by SMEs in Kaliputu Village, particularly jenang (traditional sweet) entrepreneurs, by strengthening their entrepreneurial mindset and providing training in business management, marketing strategies, and financial management. The methods used include socialization, regular training, and practical assistance. The subjects of this community service are the jenang SMEs in Kaliputu Village. The results show a significant increase in market reach and sales of jenang products, as well as improvements in business quality. Promotional videos and Shopee accounts have successfully expanded product visibility, while training has enhanced managerial, marketing, and financial management skills. With this program, SMEs in Kaliputu Village become more prepared and competitive in facing future business challenges. This community service has provided longterm positive impacts for the development of SMEs in Kaliputu Village, making them more competitive in a broader market and sustainable in running their businesses.

Abstract

Trasan Village in Magelang Regency is the leading village in Bandongan District in terms of opening up opportunities for the birth of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). However, MSME actors in the village are still dominated by men so that the role of women in the village community economy is still not optimal and there is the problem of MSME waste which has not been managed properly. The UNNES service team helped overcome this problem by creating an environmentally friendly entrepreneurship development program involving village PKK cadres to create an inclusive and environmentally responsible business climate. The service method used is training for a program for utilizing MSME waste oil into aromatherapy candle products and assistance for planning and business marketing programs for these aromatherapy candle products. The results of this program have increased the understanding of Trasan Village PKK cadres regarding the use of waste into products of economic value by 78% and understanding regarding business planning and marketing by 86%. PKK cadres have also been assisted with business consultations, creating business legality and marketing strategies by Village MSME facilitators.
