Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Standards, Operations, and Procedures on Employee Performance at Bina Darma University Postgraduate Program. The study used a descriptive quantitative method with a Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) approach based on Partial Least Squares (PLS). Data were obtained through questionnaires distributed to 53 employees, covering various job levels. The results of the analysis show that Standards, Operations, and Procedures do not have a significant influence on Employee Performance. However, SOPs have a substantial and positive impact, indicating that implementing well-structured and socialized SOPs can improve employee performance. The findings also identified several obstacles, such as lack of operational efficiency, complex work procedures, and standards that are less relevant to operational needs. This research highlights the importance of SOP optimization in supporting employee performance in the higher education sector. In conclusion, effective implementation of SOPs is a key factor in improving organizational productivity. At the same time, other aspects, such as work standards, operations, and procedures require strengthening through better evaluation and management strategies. This research is limited to the context of Bina Darma University, so further studies are recommended to expand the scope of the subject and add other relevant variables.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the importance of financial literacy in students' lives, especially in influencing their academic performance. Students with a good understanding of financial literacy tend to be more able to manage finances effectively, contributing to better academic achievement. This study aims to analyze the effect of financial literacy on student academic achievement: financial management as a mediating variable. The approach used in this research is quantitative using a survey method. The research sample consisted of 100 active students of Bina Darma University, who were selected using a non-probability sampling technique. Data was processed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) analysis through SmartPLS 4.0. The results showed that (1) financial literacy has a significant effect on student academic achievement, (2) financial literacy has a significant effect on financial management, (3) financial management has a significant effect on student academic achievement, and (4) financial management acts as a mediating variable in the relationship between financial literacy and student academic achievement. This finding confirms that an increase in financial literacy must be accompanied by good financial management skills to positively impact students' academic performance. Therefore, universities are expected to provide more intensive financial education to help students manage their finances more effectively.

Abstract

Artificial intelligence (AI) has influenced research rituals, beginning from its rigor, purposefulness, dependability, reliability, validity, and reporting. Before the advent of AI, postgraduate students were saddled with parsimonious philosophical strands and similarity thresholds. But, with the current trend of AI writing tools such as ChatGPT, most students in developing educational economies have started shifting their research posts toward writing technologies. Thus, using a cross-sectional survey design, this research aims to investigate the factors that motivate management science postgraduate students to use ChatGPT for their studies. Researchers collected data from doctoral students in management science using a questionnaire. Thus, two hundred and one (201) postgraduate students drawn from three state universities in southeastern Nigeria served as the respondents in this research. The formulated research propositions were analyzed with linear regression. The study found that postgraduate students were motivated by perceived usefulness, ease of use, and enjoyment. The result of the study revealed that perceived ease of use (PEOU), perceived usefulness (PU), and perceived enjoyment (PE) have a positive significant effect on ChatGPT usage.

Abstract

Big Data and Predictive Analytics (BDPA) have emerged as transformative forces in product development, creating opportunities to enhance innovation, efficiency, and resilience. This review highlights BDPA’s contributions to value creation by improving customer insights, optimizing design, strengthening operational efficiency, and mitigating risks. It synthesizes empirical and conceptual studies from multidisciplinary databases to demonstrate how BDPA shapes competitiveness across sectors. Comparative findings reveal adoption disparities between advanced and emerging economies, where infrastructural and skill-related constraints limit effectiveness. Addressing these barriers requires investment in human capital, cross-departmental collaboration, and supportive policy frameworks. Future research should prioritize longitudinal and sector-specific approaches to better capture BDPA’s sustained impacts and contextual dynamics.

Abstract

Blockchain technology has emerged as a transformative enabler in innovation management. It offers new opportunities for enhancing transparency, improving efficiency, and fostering trust across diverse sectors.. This narrative review aims to synthesize existing literature on blockchain adoption, exploring its applications in supply chains, finance, public administration, and Industry 4.0, while analyzing systemic barriers to implementation. Literature searches were conducted across major databases such as Scopus, Web of Science, and Google Scholar using a structured methodology that employed primary and secondary keywords combined with Boolean operators. Inclusion criteria emphasized peer-reviewed studies from the past decade, encompassing both qualitative and quantitative approaches. The findings highlight blockchain’s role in enhancing supply chain traceability, reducing transaction costs, improving access to financial services, and strengthening governance models through decentralized systems. Integration with Industry 4.0 technologies further demonstrates blockchain’s capacity to improve efficiency, sustainability, and knowledge management. However, adoption remains constrained by technical complexity, scalability challenges, cultural resistance, and regulatory uncertainties. Comparative evidence underscores disparities between developed and developing economies, with the former focusing on high-value applications and the latter emphasizing accessibility and inclusion. The discussion emphasizes the need for supportive regulatory frameworks, capacity-building initiatives, and incentives for early adopters. Future research should address gaps through longitudinal, cross-industry, and sociotechnical studies to provide holistic insights into blockchain’s long-term implications. The study concludes that education, collaboration, and clear governance structures are central strategies to overcoming barriers and unlocking blockchain’s transformative potential for innovation management.
