Abstract

Due to the high level of competence between students and schools, SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Medan needs to select the best and outstanding students in order to compete among students by involving various considerations. The consideration of the criteria taken are the average value of the report card, attitude value, skill value, extracurricular, and number of attendance. Currently, SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Medan is still conducting an assessment process that involves the subjectivity of the teaching teacher or homeroom teacher, resulting in a less than optimal assessment, due to partiality. Therefore, the researchers built a Decision Support System (SPK) application for selecting the best students using the Complex Proportional Assessment (COPRAS) method. The COPRAS method testing uses 10 alternatives and 5 existing criteria. The results showed that the Decision Support System (SPK) could help the SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Medan to complete the selection of the best students correctly and accurately.

Abstract

Program Indonesia Pintar (PIP) is an educational cash assistance from the government that finances students until they graduate from high school from the age of 6-12 years. the target of receiving the Indonesia Pintar Program (PIP) is the acceptance of the family hope program (PKH) or the acceptance of the prosperous family card (KKS) who come from underprivileged families. The provision of this assistance is often not on target, this is because the calculation of PIP acceptance still uses a manual system and has not been computerised. The ARAS method is expected to assist in the selection of students who are eligible to receive PIP assistance, because the ARAS method will carry out the ranking process based on criteria with different weights so that the results are more optimal. This research is to find the weight value for each criterion, then carry out a ranking process that will determine the optimal alternative as well in the selection of students receiving smart Indonesia card assistance. as for the 5 criteria that are used as a reference in the selection of students receiving smart Indonesia card assistance are having a prosperous family card (KKS), Participants in the Family Hope Card Program (PKH), Orphans, Disabilities and Victims of Natural Disasters or Calamities.

Abstract

The head of nursing is a profession or position in charge of leading and being fully responsible for controlling and organizing all nursing service activities in the hospital, by organizing and structuring nursing activities so that the head of nursing has an important task in coordinating his subordinates. In the selection of the head of nursing is very complicated because it requires the requirements that must be met in the selection of the head of nursing, the criteria that must be met include education, attitude, tenure, performance and others. Currently, the system used for selecting the head of nursing still uses a manual method by receiving input from other members of the nurses and assisted by the director or head of the hospital itself. The MABAC method is a multicriteria comparison method, this method the author chose because this method provides a consistent solution and is also very reliable in decision making compared to other methods in the process of selecting the head of nursing. Based on the calculations that have been carried out, the one who deserves to be appointed as the head of Nursing at Estomihi Hospital with a value of 0.68413 is Asfriani Simanullang (Alternative code A2).

Abstract

The BSM Program is a National Program that aims to eliminate barriers for poor students to participate by helping poor students obtain decent educational service requests, preventing dropouts, attracting poor students to return to school, helping students meet their needs in learning activities, supporting the 9-year compulsory education program (even up to high school level), and helping the smooth running of school programs. To obtain the Poor Student Assistance (BSM) funds, the government has set several criteria for who are the students who can be determined and are entitled to receive the Poor Student Assistance (BSM). These criteria will later help schools or educational institutions determine which students can be determined to receive the Poor Student Assistance Fund. Therefore, an educational institution must have a Decision Support System for recommending Poor Student Funds (BSM) using the Multi Objective Optimization on the Basis of Ratio Analysis (MOORA) method, with the existence of a decision support system for determining Poor Student Assistance (BSM) it is hoped that the determination process will run well, be on target, and be received by those who are entitled. The final result determines that Alternative A1 is ranked first with the highest score of 22.2679. Thus, decision makers can compare the performance between the old system and the BSM fund determination decision support system using the Multi Objective Optimization On The Basis Of Ratio Analysis (MOORA) method without having to re-request data on students who will be given Poor Student Assistance funds.

Abstract

The Indonesia Smart Card for Higher Education (KIP Kuliah) is a government-funded scholarship program designed for students with strong academic potential but limited economic resources, as regulated in Minister of Education and Culture Regulation No. 12 of 2015 on the Indonesia Smart Program. Universitas Budi Darma Medan is one of the universities entrusted to accept and select prospective scholarship recipients. However, the large number of applicants requires a decision support system (DSS) to make the selection process more objective, efficient, and accurate. This study applies the Multi-Objective Optimization by Ratio Analysis (MOORA) method to determine KIP recipients. The MOORA method was chosen for its simplicity, flexibility, and effectiveness in weighting and ranking alternatives based on several predetermined criteria, namely number of achievement certificates, parents’ income, interview test scores, written test scores, and home ownership. Data from seven applicants were analyzed using weights established by the university. The results show that MOORA successfully generated a clear and measurable ranking, with alternative A5, Fredy Fau, obtaining the highest score of 0.1725 and ranked first as the best candidate for KIP assistance. Therefore, the application of the MOORA method within a DSS proves effective in assisting universities to carry out the selection process objectively and transparently.

Abstract

This study discusses the development of a decision support system (DSS) to determine the best coffee shop using the Multi Attribute Utility Theory (MAUT) method and Rank Order Centroid (ROC) weighting. The background of this research is based on the rapid growth of the coffee shop business, which has led to intense competition, requiring business owners to have appropriate strategies and decision-making in choosing a strategic location, adequate facilities, and competitive pricing. The MAUT method is applied because it can accommodate various attributes and criteria that influence decision-making, while ROC is utilized to assign objective weights to each criterion. This study involved five alternative coffee shops, and five evaluation criteria. The results of the calculations show that Coffee Lab achieved the highest final utility value of 0.718, thus being ranked as the best coffee shop, followed by Coffeenatics with 0.395 in second place, Dominico with 0.233 in third place, Kallia with 0.188 in fourth place, and Kopi Tuya with 0.054 in the last position. These findings demonstrate that the application of the MAUT method with ROC weighting can provide objective, systematic, and accurate recommendations in determining the best alternative based on the established criteria. Therefore, this research is expected to serve as a reference for the application of DSS in the coffee shop business sector as well as in other areas that require multi-criteria decision-making.

Abstract

Cash Social Assistance (BST) is assistance in the form of money provided to poor, disadvantaged, and/or vulnerable families affected by the Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) outbreak. The amount of Cash Social Assistance is IDR 600,000/family/month. This Cash Social Assistance is a social safety net program of the Ministry of Social Affairs intended for poor and vulnerable families affected by Covid-19. This program is a special assignment assistance from the President. Social assistance for areas outside Jabodetabek is provided in the form of money, while for the Jabodetabek area it is provided in the form of basic necessities. The provision of BST assistance does not include recipients of the Family Hope Program (PKH), Staple Food Cards, and Pre-Employment Cards. To obtain the Cash Social Assistance (BST) funds, the government has set several criteria for which families can be determined and are entitled to receive the Cash Social Assistance (BST). These criteria will later help government agencies in determining which residents can be selected to receive the Poor Family Assistance Fund. Therefore, a government agency must have a Decision Support System for Cash Social Assistance (BST) recommendations using the Multi Objective Optimization on the Basis of Ratio Analysis (MOORA) method, with the existence of a decision support system for determining Cash Social Assistance (BST) it is expected to run well, be on target, and be received by the entitled people. Thus, decision makers can compare the performance between the old system and the decision support system for determining BST funds using the Multi Objective Optimization On The Basis Of Ratio Analysis (MOORA) method without having to re-request data on families who will be given Cash Social Assistance (BST) funds.
