Abstract

This study examines the effectiveness of a TikTok-style short video-assisted flipped classroom model on students' learning motivation in Islamic Cultural History (SKI) at MTs KHA Wahid Hasyim Bangil. Low motivation, driven by lecture-dominant teaching and a mismatch between instructional style and Generation Z learners' digital characteristics, served as the primary background. Using a quasi-experimental non-equivalent control group design, the study involved 64 eighth-grade students divided equally into experimental and control groups (n=32 each). A motivation instrument based on Keller's ARCS model was employed (α = 0.891). Results showed the experimental group achieved an N-Gain of 0.55 (moderate), compared to 0.28 (low) in the control group. An independent t-test yielded a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05), confirming a significant difference between groups. The Attention dimension showed the greatest improvement. This study offers an innovative approach integrating popular media formats into Islamic education at the junior secondary level.

Abstract

This study examines the role of ethnomathematics in mathematics education through a systematic literature review. The scope of the study includes an analysis of various research findings related to the integration of cultural elements in mathematics learning. The objective of this study is to identify the contributions of ethnomathematics to students’ conceptual understanding, numeracy literacy, problem-solving skills, as well as their affective and cultural development. The method employed is a literature-based study involving the review of relevant scholarly articles. The findings indicate that ethnomathematics is effective in enhancing conceptual understanding by connecting abstract mathematical ideas to cultural contexts that are familiar to students. In addition, this approach supports the development of numeracy literacy and problem-solving abilities, while also increasing students’ motivation and engagement in learning. Ethnomathematics further contributes to fostering cultural awareness and strengthening students’ cultural identity. However, its implementation still faces challenges, particularly in terms of teacher readiness and the limited availability of culturally integrated learning materials. In conclusion, ethnomathematics is a comprehensive instructional approach with strong potential to improve mathematics learning outcomes across cognitive, affective, and social domains.

Abstract

This study aims to examine students' self-confidence in classroom presentations from a personality psychology perspective. This study used a descriptive qualitative method involving three students who actively participated in lectures and had presentation experience. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation to obtain an in-depth picture of the students' experiences. The results showed that most students experienced high levels of anxiety and nervousness, especially during their first presentation in front of a class, characterized by physical symptoms such as a trembling voice and lack of eye contact. Student self-confidence was influenced by several key factors: mastery of the material, experience or frequency of presentations, and social support from lecturers and peers. Good mastery of the material was associated with increased self-efficacy, thereby reducing negative thoughts and fear. Furthermore, students employed various strategies such as independent practice, review of the material, presentation simulations, and relaxation techniques to manage anxiety. Therefore, self-confidence is not an innate ability but can be developed through practice, experience, and a positive and ongoing environmental support.

Abstract

This study examines the strategic management of educational of facilities and infrastructure withim the scope of institutional quality improvement. The objective of this research is to analyze how systematic infrastructure governance contributes to enhancing educational standards by utilizing a literature study method. This approach involves synthesizing data from academic journals, textbooks, and government regulations published withim the last decade. The results indicate that effective management relies on a comprehensive seven-stage cycle, including data-driven planning, accountable procurement, and digital-based inventory, which significantly fosters public trust and institutional accountability. Furthermore, the study highlights that well-maintained facilities, such as clean classrooms and functional laboratories, createva positive academic climate that boosts students' intrinsic motivation and learning outcomes. This research concludes that infrastructure management is an integral part of competitive quality assurance strategies in the modern era rather than just a technical logistic matter. These findings suggest that integrating digital management systems is essential for real-time monitoring and professionalism in addressing the gap between facility availability and curriculum needs.

Abstract

Educational supervision management is a crucial aspect in improving the quality of learning processes and outcomes in educational institutions. The background to this research is based on the finding that supervision implementation is still suboptimal, both in terms of planning, implementation, and follow-up, resulting in low learning quality. The purpose of this research is to analyze how educational supervision management can be effectively implemented to improve teacher performance and educational quality. The method used is a qualitative approach with library research, through analysis of various relevant literature sources. The results indicate that effective educational supervision management includes thorough planning, systematic supervision implementation, and continuous evaluation and follow-up. Collaborative and coaching-based supervision can improve teachers' pedagogical and professional competencies. The discussion confirms that the success of educational supervision management is strongly influenced by supervisor competence, effective communication, and support from the educational institution. Therefore, the implementation of structured and sustainable supervision management can be an important strategy in improving educational quality comprehensively.

Abstract

The development of information technology has brought many changes in various fields, including education. One form of utilizing this technology is the Education Management Information System (EMIS), which is used to support the management of educational data and administration more effectively. Through this system, various types of information such as student data, teacher data, and academic activities can be managed in a more structured manner. However, in practice, the implementation of EMIS does not always run as expected. Many educational institutions still face various obstacles in the implementation process. These challenges are not only related to technological aspects but also involve human resources, organizational culture, and policy support from management. This study aims to examine the various challenges that arise in the implementation of Education Management Information Systems and to explain why technology alone is not sufficient to guarantee the success of the system. This research uses a qualitative approach with a literature study method based on various journals, books, and previous studies relevant to the topic discussed. The findings show that the success of EMIS implementation is greatly influenced by user readiness, organizational support, and the existence of clear policies in system management. In other words, the presence of technology must be balanced with preparedness in various aspects so that the system can truly provide benefits for educational institutions.
