JURNAL MAHASISWA SISTEM INFORMASI GALUH (JMSIG) merupakan jurnal ilmiah yang diterbitkan oleh Fakultas Teknik, Prodi S1 Sistem Informasi, Universitas Galuh dengan frekuensi terbit dua kali dalam setahun. JURNAL MAHASISWA SISTEM INFORMASI GALUH adalah jurnal peer-review di bidang Informasi dan Teknologi bagi mahasiswa Sistem Informasi seperti RPL, Jaringan, IoT, dan lain-lain. Kemudian JMSIG bertujuan untuk menyebarluaskan hasil penelitian dan meningkatkan produktivitas publikasi ilmiah. Jurnal ini terbit 2 kali dalam setahun. Periode 1 terbit per bulan Mei dan periode 2 terbit per bulan Oktober. Batas maksimal penerimaan jurnal periode 1 yaitu pada bulan Maret dan periode 2 yaitu bulan September.

Abstract

This study aims to address inventory management problems at Rizki Wholesale Store, which still relies on manual record-keeping. The lack of an accurate prediction system often leads to overstocking of certain items or stock shortages for products that are in high demand by consumers. By applying data mining techniques using the K-Nearest Neighbor (KNN) method, this study processes historical transaction data from January to December 2024 to classify 50 types of products into the categories of “Best-Selling” and “Non-Best-Selling.” The analysis results indicate that the KNN algorithm is capable of providing accurate classification based on the proximity distance between sales data points. These findings offer strategic guidance for the store owner in managing inventory procurement, particularly for essential products such as food items and cleaning supplies, which consistently demonstrate high sales performance.

Abstract

This study aims to design and develop a web-based motorcycle workshop queue reservation system for the SME Budi Motor Sport to improve service efficiency and address issues related to manual record-keeping. The current system still relies on conventional methods using paper-based records, which are prone to errors, data loss, and inefficiencies in reservation management. The research methods employed include observation, interviews, and literature review to identify system requirements. System development was carried out using the Extreme Programming (XP) method, which consists of planning, design, coding, and testing phases. The system was designed using UML modeling, including use case diagrams, activity diagrams, sequence diagrams, and class diagrams. The system was implemented using PHP programming language, supported by HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and a MySQL database. The results of this study indicate that the web-based reservation system facilitates customers in making online bookings, improves the operational efficiency of the workshop, and minimizes recording errors. Additionally, the system provides features for managing reservation data and enabling communication between customers and the workshop.
