Abstract

Quality evaluation is a crucial instrument for ensuring that vocational higher education institutions achieve their strategic objectives effectively. This study examines how evaluation data are utilized to support strategic decision-making in a vocational higher education institution. The evaluation process integrates data from multiple sources, including stakeholder satisfaction surveys, monthly monitoring and evaluation reports, and internal quality audits. A mixed methods approach was employed by combining document analysis, survey data, and focused interviews with key institutional stakeholders over a one-year period. The findings indicate that quality evaluation functions not only as a tool for identifying institutional strengths and weaknesses, but also as an early warning system for strategic risks. The evaluation results reveal the need to strengthen academic governance through the implementation of structured student admission procedures, an integrated academic calendar, and updated selection instruments. In addition, the optimization of digital services and institutional websites is essential to support a safe and inclusive campus environment. From an academic perspective, strategic priorities include curriculum alignment with industry needs, the enhancement of certified practitioner lecturer selection, and strengthened monitoring of internships, project-based learning, and research downstreaming. Furthermore, the library and research management units are encouraged to improve organizational structures, service systems, and research roadmaps aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals and artificial intelligence development. This study demonstrates that data-driven strategic decision-making based on quality evaluation can enhance institutional competitiveness and sustainability in vocational higher education. The findings contribute to the development of an evaluation-based strategic management model and provide practical insights for institutions seeking to strengthen continuous quality improvement.

Abstract

Environmental degradation resulting from the special event and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conventions, and Exhibitions) sectors necessitates minimization through the awareness and tangible contributions of all involved parties. The primary objective of this study is to analyze the level of awareness among 2023 batch student committee members of Multimedia Nusantara Polytechnic (MNP) regarding environmentally friendly practices, specifically in minimizing the environmental impact of waste generated during the 2025 FestVent event. This research employs a qualitative descriptive and observational methodology, collecting data through in-depth interviews complemented by direct observation conducted from September 18 to 20, 2025. A total of 19 informants were utilized, comprising committee coordinators, volunteers, and event attendees. The interview findings will be analyzed to identify student perspectives concerning eco-friendly practices implemented during the 2025 FestVent. The results of this study will serve as key indicators of the organizing students' awareness and contribution towards realizing sustainable event management.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the perception of students at Multimedia Nusantara Polytechnic (MNP) regarding the use of technology in Event Management programs using the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). The study focuses on Perceived Usefulness (PU), Perceived Ease of Use (PEOU), Perceived Enjoyment (PE), Self-Efficacy (SE), Personal Innovativeness in IT (PII), and Behavioral Intention to Use (BII) to evaluate students’ readiness for digital transformation and technological proficiency. Data were collected through an online questionnaire from 78 Event Management students with relevant experience in technology usage. The analysis was conducted using descriptive statistics and Structural Equation Modeling with Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). The results indicate that students hold highly positive perceptions of the usefulness, ease of use, and enjoyment of technology, along with high confidence in their ability to operate it. Personal Innovativeness in IT significantly affects Self-Efficacy but does not directly influence PU, PEOU, or BII. PU and PE were found to be the dominant factors driving students’ intention to use technology in learning and professional practice. These findings highlight that MNP’s vocational education approach effectively prepares students to become adaptive human resources, capable of embracing digital transformation and optimizing technology utilization in professional and daily life contexts. This study provides implications for developing other vocational education programs to enhance workforce readiness in the digital era.

Abstract

Selecting the right wood Supplier is a critical factor in ensuring smooth production processes and maintaining the quality of raw materials used by a company. Mistakes in Supplier selection can lead to production delays, increased costs, and a decline in final product quality. Therefore, this study aims to determine the best wood Supplier using a Multi-Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) approach. This research employs a descriptive quantitative approach involving four alternative Suppliers and seven evaluation criteria: wood price, wood quality, delivery punctuality, Supplier distance, supply capacity, payment system, and Supplier reputation. Data were collected through structured interviews with company decision makers and a review of relevant internal documents. The analytical methods used are Weighted Product (WP) and the Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) to rank Suppliers based on the established criteria. The results indicate a difference in Supplier rankings between the two methods due to differing calculation approaches and evaluation concepts. The WP method emphasizes the consistency of Supplier performance across all criteria, while the TOPSIS method assesses the proximity of an alternative to the ideal solution. Based on the analysis, the Weighted Product method is considered more appropriate and is recommended for determining the best wood Supplier for the company.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the performance of packaging suppliers used by Nasi Tempong Nyonya as a crucial component of operational effectiveness in the fast-food industry. Packaging suppliers play a strategic role in supporting daily operations, as packaging quality directly affects food safety, product presentation, brand image, and overall customer satisfaction. Therefore, systematic supplier evaluation is required to ensure consistent material quality, price stability, timely delivery, and reliability of supply in meeting operational demands. Preliminary observations reveal several challenges in the procurement of packaging materials, including frequent price fluctuations, inconsistent material quality, limited use of environmentally friendly packaging, and suboptimal supplier responsiveness to sudden changes in demand volume. These issues have the potential to disrupt operational workflows and reduce service consistency. To address these concerns, this research adopts an evaluative approach by analyzing key supplier performance indicators, direct operational observations, and assessments aligned with the company’s operational needs and standards. The findings indicate that the current packaging supplier has not fully met Nasi Tempong Nyonya’s operational expectations, particularly in terms of material quality consistency and delivery timeliness. These shortcomings highlight the importance of implementing a more structured and objective supplier evaluation system. Such a system can serve as a strategic basis for performance improvement initiatives, strengthening long-term supplier relationships, or considering alternative suppliers. Ultimately, this study is expected to provide practical insights to enhance operational efficiency and maintain consistent service quality for customers.
