Abstract

Children's character is a collection of traits, habits, and behavioral patterns inherent in a child, which reflect their values, morals, ethics, and personality. Children's character includes how they think, feel, and act in various situations, as well as how they interact with others. This character is formed through a learning process and experience that begins at an early age and is influenced by various factors, including parenting patterns. The purpose of this study was to see the relationship between parenting patterns and the formation of children's character in grades 4 and 5 of SDS IRA Medan. This research method uses a quantitative method with a cross-sectional research design. The population in this study were all students in grades 4 and 5, totaling 67 people. The sampling technique in this study was total sampling. The collected data were analyzed using the Pearson correlation test. The results of this study showed a P-Value of 0.000 or <0.05. It can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between parenting patterns and the formation of children's character in grades 4 and 5 at S DS IRA Medan. It is expected that further researchers will involve larger and more diverse student samples, use experimental research methods, and also add other variable factors that can influence children's character, such as social environment, family economic conditions, media influence, and interactions with peers as considerations to obtain more comprehensive and in-depth results.

Abstract

Coronary heart disease patients require Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI) to remove blockages in the coronary artery blood, so that blood flow can return to normal. Although PCI has a relatively low risk, patients still feel anxious and stressed post PCI. This is thought to be due to lack of family support. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between family support with anxiety and stress levels of Post PCI patients. This study is a quantitative study with a correlational study design using a cross-sectional approach. The study was conducted at Murni Teguh Memorial Hospital. The sample in this study amounted to 92 respondents with purposive sampling technique. Data analysis used the Spearman Rho and Anova test. The result of this study with the spearman test showed a relationship between family support with anxiety and stress levels of Post PCI as indicated by a p-value <0.05. The anova test explains that there is a relationship between family support with anxiety of Post PCI patients as indicated by p-value <0.05 and there is no relationship between family support with stress level as indicated by p-value >0.05. It is recommended for further researchers to conduct research by adding individual coping variables and health worker support.

Abstract

Infants aged 0-6 months require exclusive breastfeeding as their primary source of nutrition. However, some mothers opt not to breastfeed and instead provide formula milk, possibly due to a lack of education. The objective of this study is to determine the effect of education on mothers' knowledge and attitudes regarding exclusive breastfeeding. This study method is pre-experimental research using a one-group pre-test and post-test design. The research was conducted at Murni Teguh Rosiva Hospital. The population consisted of 51 individuals, with a sample size of 45 participants selected through purposive sampling. Analysis was performed univariately using frequency distribution tables and bivariately using the Paired Sample T-Test, as the data were normally distributed. The study showed that before education, the majority of mothers had moderate knowledge (93.3%), which improved to good knowledge (80.0%) after education, with an average pre-test score of 9.22±1.580 and a post-test score of 12.82±1.585. Before education, 60.0% of mothers had a positive attitude, which increased to 100.0% after education, with an average pre-test score of 34.42±5.450 and a post-test score of 46.33±3.045. The provision of education significantly influenced mothers' knowledge and attitudes regarding exclusive breastfeeding at Murni Teguh Rosiva Hospital, with a p-value of 0.000 < 0.05. It is concluded that there is a significant difference in mothers' knowledge and attitudes before and after education. It is recommended for future researchers are encouraged to conduct further studies on mothers' knowledge and attitudes regarding exclusive breastfeeding.

Abstract

Social media is a means where consumers can share various information in the form of text, images, video and audio with other people. Creativity is the interaction between talent, process and environment that a person or group produces products that appear new and useful as defined in a social context. The objective of this study is to determine the relationship between the use of social media and the creativity of nursing students at Murni Teguh University. The Research method is quantitative correlational, the research design analytical survey. The sampling technique used cluster sampling with 152 respondents. Analysis of research data used the Spearman's rho correlation test. The results of this study show that there is a significant relationship between the use of social media and student creativity with a p-value of 0.00 <0.05 and a correlation coefficient of 0.485**. It is concluded that there is a significant relationship between the use of social media and the creativity of nursing students at Murni Teguh University. It is recommended for future researchers to add other variables such as personality, e-learning learning methods, and the negative impact of social media on students, business day home care training, business management skills, interest in entrepreneurship.

Abstract

The head of a room's life is filled with a series of decision making. This activity plays an important role. Because the quality of decisions will determine the effectiveness of the plans prepared. Murni Teguh Sudirman Hospital Jakarta is one of the health service places that contributes to providing health services to the community. Apart from that, the head of the room also often gives the implementing nurse the opportunity to express opinions during discussions regarding the implementation of nursing care for patients. This research aims to see the influence of the leadership style of the head of the room on the application of ethical principles in decision making at the Murni Teguh Sudirman Hospital, Jakarta. The type of research carried out was quantitative research with a descriptive research design with a sample size of 100 nurses. The results of statistical analysis using the square test obtained a p-value = <0.05 and a CI of 95%. The recommendation of this research is that the head of the room can always remind nurses to always apply ethics in decision making.

Abstract

Hyperbilirubinemia is a condition that often occurs in newborns and can cause various complications if not treated properly. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of infant’s massage and phototherapy on bilirubinemia levels in newborns at Aminah Hospital Tangerang. The study method is quantitative with cross sectional design. The sample in this study amounted to 75 respondents with purposive sampling technique. Data analysis used the Spearman Rho test. The results of this study using the Sperman test showed the effectiveness of infant massage and phototherapy on bilirubinemia levels in newborns at Aminah Hospital as indicated by a p-value <0.05. It is concluded that there was effectiveness of infant’s massage and phototherapy on bilirubinemia levels in newborns. It is recommended for further research to add variable of Fluid Intake, and Length of Treatment.

Abstract

Chemotherapy is a treatment process to slow and destroy the growth of cancer cells with cytotoxic drugs. Breast cancer treatment generally lasts quite a long time and causes side effects, namely physical and psychological impacts on breast cancer patients related to quality of life. The objective of this study is to determine the assessment of the quality of life of breast cancer patients with the side effects of chemotherapy. This study method is a quantitative analytical survey study with a cross-sectional approach. The study was conducted at Murni Teguh Memorial Hospital. The population was 20 people and all were used as samples. Sampling was carried out using a saturated sample (total sampling). Data were analyzed using the Chi-square test with a significance of  = 0.05. This study shows that the quality of life of breast cancer patients is in the good and poor categories, each 50%. The side effects of chemotherapy felt by breast cancer patients are in the low category (45%). There is a relationship between the assessment of the quality of life of breast cancer patients and the side effects of chemotherapy at Murni Teguh Memorial Hospital, p-value = 0.003 <0.05. It is concluded that the side effects of chemotherapy are related to the assessment of the quality of life of breast cancer patients. It is recommended that further researchers continue this study using a larger sample size.

Abstract

Discharge planning results in an integrated relationship when the patient receives care in the hospital and the care given after the patient goes home. Discharge planning requires good and directed communication so that the patient can understand and benefit when the patient is at home. This is one of the important factors that makes patients obedient to return to the hospital for control. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between nurse educator in discharge planning with the level compliance of inpatients for check-ups at Murni Teguh Memorial Hospital. This study is a quantitative study with a correlational study design using a cross-sectional approach. The study was conducted at Murni Teguh Memorial Hospital. The sample in this study amounted to 30 respondents with purposive sampling technique. Data analysis used the Chi-Square test. The result of this study with the chi-square test showed a relationship between nurse educator in discharge planinng with the level of compliance of inpatients for check-ups as indicated by a p-value <0.05. It is recommended for further researchers to add research variables such as factors related to patient compliance in treatment.

Abstract

Hypertension or elevated blood pressure is currently still a health problem in all parts of the world because hypertensive disease is one of the biggest causes of morbidity in the world which significantly increases the risk of heart, brain, and kidney disease, as well as one of the leading causes of premature death worldwide. Objective: The objective of this study is to determine the effect of wuluh starfruit juice on blood pressure in hypertensive patients. Research method is using a pre-experiment type design with a one group pre-posttest design, the sampling technique uses purposive sampling. Wilcoxon signed rank test to analyze the data in this study. The results of this study indicate that there is an effect of wuluh star fruit juice on blood pressure in hypertensive patients in the Puskesmas Abang I Area with a p value of 0.000 and 0.001 or p < 0.05. It is concluded that there is an effect of wuluh star fruit juice on blood pressure. It can be expected that hypertensive patients need to consume star fruit juice because it can lower blood pressure. It is recommended for futher research to add another variable as comparison intervention on blood pressure reduction.

Abstract

Adolescence is an important period for developing social and emotional habits. Mental emotional is a condition in which a person undergoes psychological distress, there are psychological changes in certain circumstances but can recover back to normal, but these emotional mental problems if not properly dealt with will have a bad impact on the process of adolescent development. One of the long-term factors that can lead to adolescent emotional mental development is sleep problems such as sleep patterns. Especially the duration and quality of sleep, plays an important role inining health as lack of sleep increases the likelihood of an individual experiencing intense negative thoughts or feelings of emotional range. The aim is to identify the relationship between sleep quality and emotional mental health in adolescents. This type of research is quantitative which is a cross-sectional survey investigation using the Clusster Random Sampling technique. The total sample in this study was 205 students. Instruments were measured with a questionnaire. Analyze the data of this study using the Spearman test. Based on the results of the analysis obtained there is a p-value of 0.020 (< 0.05) which indicates that there is significant relationship between sleep quality and adolescent emotional mental health. It is recommended for future researchers to add different variables such as Factors related to emotional mental health.
