Abstract

The increasing prevalence of online game addiction among students presents a significant threat to their spiritual development and character formation. This study aims to examine the role of Islamic Education (PAI) teachers in fostering students’ spiritual awareness as a preventive measure against the negative impact of online games. The research was conducted at SMK Al-Azhar Batam using a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation involving 3 PAI teachers and 30 students. The findings reveal that PAI teachers play a strategic role in developing students’ spiritual awareness through the integration of Qur’anic values, modeling good behavior, and routine religious practices. These efforts help strengthen students’ self-control and resilience against the temptation of online games. The study concludes that spiritual education delivered by PAI teachers effectively contributes to shaping students’ positive behavior and serves as a strong protective factor against digital distractions, particularly excessive gaming.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low concentration of students' learning at SMA Negeri 2 Tapung, which is characterized by a lack of concentration, readiness to learn, and interest and motivation in participating in learning. This study aimed to determine the effect of emotional intelligence on students' learning concentration in Islamic Religious Education subjects. This study used a quantitative approach with a correlational method. The research sample was determined using the Slovin formula with a margin of error of 5% from a population of 153 students in grades X and XI; a sample of 110 students was obtained. The data collection techniques used were questionnaires and documentation. Data analysis was carried out through normality tests, linearity tests, and hypothesis tests. The results showed a significant influence between emotional intelligence and students' learning concentration, with a significance value of 0.001 (p <0.05). The magnitude of the influence of emotional intelligence on students' learning concentration was 56.8%, which was included in the moderate category. Thus, emotional intelligence significantly influences students' learning concentration in Islamic Religious Education subjects at SMA Negeri 2 Tapung.

Abstract

This community service initiative aimed to prevent bullying at SMP Negeri 1 Halong through a collaborative awareness campaign based on the Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach. The program involved students from UIN Antasari Banjarmasin’s community service program (KKN) and the Legal Aid Institute for Law and Justice Advocacy. Activities included observations, interviews, and socialization sessions with students and teachers. The campaign educated participants on the types, impacts, and legal consequences of bullying, emphasizing respectful peer interaction. Results showed strong student engagement and increased understanding, though ongoing efforts are needed to reduce bullying behavior effectively. Bullying—whether physical, verbal, social, or digital—can severely affect students’ mental health, social relations, and academic outcomes. The project underscores the importance of school-wide collaboration in fostering a safe and inclusive environment. Integrating legal perspectives and educational strategies effectively raised awareness and promoted preventive action.

Abstract

Quarter Life Crisis (QLC) is a psychological phenomenon that commonly occurs in early adulthood, including college students, and is characterized by confusion, social pressure, and anxiety about the future. Students of the Islamic Religious Education (PAI) Study Program are a vulnerable group to QLC, primarily if a healthy social environment does not support them. This activity aims to increase student awareness of the importance of building a positive social environment when facing the challenges of adult transition. The implementation of the activity was carried out in the form of psychoeducation based on the results of quantitative correlational research on 111 PAI students at the Islamic University of Riau. The study showed that the social environment significantly influences QLC with a significance value of 0.001, an influence contribution of 52.5% (moderate category), and a strong correlation of 72.5%. These results are the basis for implementing educational activities through group discussions, social reflection, and independent counseling to increase students' adaptability to environmental dynamics. Thus, this activity is expected to be able to strengthen students' mental readiness and form a collective awareness of the importance of social support in facing QLC.

Abstract

  The Indonesian government is increasingly promoting innovative local food products as alternative drivers of economic growth and food diversification. In Pulau Kedundung Village, an abundant banana harvest remains underutilized due to a lack of processing innovation. This community service program aimed to empower local micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) through participatory training focused on transforming bananas into melted banana chips—a novel, value-added product. The June 12, 2025, training involved 10 local participants, emphasizing practical product innovation, including raw material processing, packaging, and basic marketing strategies. Pre- and post-training assessments revealed a 52% improvement in participants’ knowledge of product innovation. Furthermore, a 72% increase in socio-economic impact was reported, marked by heightened readiness to start or expand businesses and the establishment of two new home-based enterprises. These outcomes suggest that participatory, innovation-based training effectively strengthens rural MSME capacity and fosters sustainable local economic development. This case study highlights the critical role of grassroots innovation and entrepreneurship education in unlocking rural economic potential.
