Abstract

Laboratory activities at the Faculty of Agricultural Technology, University of XYZ produce wastewater that is still dumped directly into the environment. Wastewater content such as pH, TDS, TSS, BOD and COD that exceed quality standards cause potential damage to the environment, especially the river environment. The construction of the constructed wetland phytoremediation wastewater treatment plant aims to manage laboratory wastewater to be safe when it is made into the environment. The purpose of this study is to calculate the value of financial feasibility and cost-benefit value of wetland phytoremediation wastewater treatment plant. The results of the calculation of the value of financial analysis by the method of analysis NPV, IRR, BCR, PBP, shows the NPV value of Rp. 7.456.063; IRR value of 12%; BCR value of 1,06%, and PBP value for 1 year so that the wastewater treatment plant construction project feasible. The value of benefits to costs has a value of 1,05 means the project is feasible because the value of the benefits provided is greater than the costs used.

Abstract

An inclusive coffee supply chain refers to a production and distribution system that involves various stakeholders, including small-scale farmers, in the process. Inclusivity, in this context, means ensuring the involvement of all actors in the chain, from farmers to consumers, with a focus on equality and empowerment. This research aims to advocate for responsible coffee production and consumption in a region crucial for biodiversity, namely Aceh Tengah District, while also promoting gender equality in all responsible business practices. Data were collected through literature reviews and direct interviews with stakeholders, ranging from corporate to local levels, and analyzed using Focus Group Discussion (FGD) analysis. The study revealed insights into the supply chain profile in Aceh Tengah, existing policy, institutional conditions, and processes, the vulnerability context of coffee farmers' livelihoods, the conditions of their livelihood assets, and sustainable livelihood strategies suitable for their needs and conditions. This research is expected to contribute to the creation of responsible coffee production and consumption and advocate for gender equality in responsible business practices within the coffee sector.

Abstract

Salt is a solid and crystalline substance produced from sea water. The salt that we know has a collection of compounds whose main part is Sodium Chloride (NaCl) as well as several impurities such as Calcium Sulfate (CaSO4), Magnesium Sulfate (MgSO4), Magnesium Chloride (MgCl2) and others. The washing process needs to be carried out to remove impurities so that NaCl levels on salt increase. The washing process with stirring in several rotation variations was used to increase the NaCl content on salt. This research aimed to determine the effect of the rotation speed of the stirrer blade in the washing process in increasing the NaCl content on salt. This research used variations in rotation speed of 40 rpm, 80 rpm, and 120 rpm and compared the increasing trend with washing times of 15 minutes and 20 minutes. The experiment showed the best rotation speed in the washing process to obtain the greatest salt content is a rotation speed of 80 rpm. Experiment with variations in rotation speed with washing times of 15 minutes and 20 minutes showed that increasing the rotation speed did not have a significant effect on increasing NaCl content of salt in the washing process.

Abstract

The total pollution load reduction in 2021 has been achieved by 75.57 tons of BOD per year. The total accumulated reduction in waste water pollution load from 2015 to 2021 is 186.68 metric tons/BOD/year. We want to obtain ecoriparian locations to be used as a reference for ecoriparian development as a form of technical regulations compensation. Data analysis techniques using a descriptive statistical method, wherein the weighting of each aspect indicator is multiplied and the sum becomes a relative value for determining the feasibility of an ecoriparian location. In determining ecoriparian locations, there are criteria that cover ecological aspects, economic aspects, social aspects, technical aspects, and institutional aspects.Based on the results of determining the location options, the highest feasibility value for the study location was obtained, namely Muhammadiyah Riau University (UMRI). However, even though the total score at the UMRI location received the highest score, this location is still not suitable as an eco-district location. The results of the feasibility of ecoriparian locations are based on five important aspects. These important aspects are ecological aspects, economic aspects, social aspects, technical aspects, and institutional aspects. Based on the results of determining the location of these three location options, namely Kampung Bandar, Ex-Rubber Factory, and Muhammadiyah Riau University (UMRI), the highest study location feasibility score was obtained.

Abstract

The Bogor City Government seeks to regulate the implementation of environmental protection and management in accordance with the principles of environmental protection and management and is guided by higher statutory regulations as stipulated in regional regulations. Re-examine Regional Regulation Number 1 of 2014 to ensure that these regional regulations are in accordance with established standards, plans, and norms. The approach used in this research is the evaluation of statutory regulations, which includes an inventory of materials, the evaluation of statutory regulations using six dimensions in which there are several variables and assessment indicators, and formulating recommendations to provide solutions to existing problems in statutory regulations. The assessment of Bogor City Regional Regulation Number 1 of 2014 concerning Environmental Protection and Management refers to several dimensions of evaluation of statutory regulations resulting in a recommendation, namely that this statutory regulations is urgently revoked and needs to be included in the long list of the 5-year Prolegda for its replacement statutory regulations. Several statutory regulations have become material for evaluating Bogor City Regional Regulation Number 1 of 2014 concerning related environmental protection and management, especially since the Central Government issued a policy regarding job creation. It is recommended that an academic manuscript be prepared on the Draft Regional Regulations for the City of Bogor concerning the Implementation of Environmental Protection and Management.
