Abstract

Abstract

The Bogor City Government seeks to regulate the implementation of environmental protection and management in accordance with the principles of environmental protection and management and is guided by higher statutory regulations as stipulated in regional regulations. Re-examine Regional Regulation Number 1 of 2014 to ensure that these regional regulations are in accordance with established standards, plans, and norms. The approach used in this research is the evaluation of statutory regulations, which includes an inventory of materials, the evaluation of statutory regulations using six dimensions in which there are several variables and assessment indicators, and formulating recommendations to provide solutions to existing problems in statutory regulations. The assessment of Bogor City Regional Regulation Number 1 of 2014 concerning Environmental Protection and Management refers to several dimensions of evaluation of statutory regulations resulting in a recommendation, namely that this statutory regulations is urgently revoked and needs to be included in the long list of the 5-year Prolegda for its replacement statutory regulations. Several statutory regulations have become material for evaluating Bogor City Regional Regulation Number 1 of 2014 concerning related environmental protection and management, especially since the Central Government issued a policy regarding job creation. It is recommended that an academic manuscript be prepared on the Draft Regional Regulations for the City of Bogor concerning the Implementation of Environmental Protection and Management.

Abstract

The Ciliwung River, one of the large rivers in Indonesia, has experienced damage in the upstream area from waste pollution, landfills, and environmental damage. The Ciliwung watershed has experienced shallowing and is often affected by foam. There are many stakeholders who are concerned and have carried out many caring actions, including the Ciliwung Care Community (KPC) in Kedung Halang District, Bogor City. Therefore, this situation must be resolved properly, immediately, and sustainably. Stakeholders who have potential for the development and sustainability of the Ciliwung River are formulated through focus group discussions and divided based on stakeholder quadrants. Activities that can be carried out as a follow-up to stakeholder mapping and engagement are workshops inviting all stakeholders to present the existing conditions of each segment of the Ciliwung River so that sustainability activities can be formulated that can be implemented through support between stakeholders.

Abstract

Climate change causes erratic rainfall and often results in flooding of urban areas. Floods are hydrometeorological disasters that occur in various regions of Indonesia. Flood vulnerability in urban areas has increased over the past 30 years. Kauman Village is included in the Asri water catchment area, which has an Asri primary channel downstream of the urban area of Nganjuk District. However, from 2019 to 2022, the urban area of Nganjuk District, including Kauman Village, was affected by flooding. Urban floods inundated office areas, schools, housing, and public facilities such as the Nganjuk District General Hospital. The factor indicated as the cause of flooding is the clogging of the drainage channel with rubbish. Therefore, field research and mathematical calculations were conducted to evaluate the discharge capacity of drainage channels in the village. Based on the research, it was found that the existing drainage channel discharge in the research area could not accommodate the planned discharge for the 10-year return period. In addition, there are 33 channels that are unable to accommodate the planned discharge because the channeldimensions are too small, some channels are slightly damaged, sedimentation occurs, and they are blocked by rubbish. Drainage channels that do not function optimally affect urban flooding. Therefore, several efforts have been made to reduce the risk of flooding by changing the dimensions of drainage channels, normalizing drainage channels, and getting used to maintain drainage channels and not throwing rubbish in drainage channels.
